The poxy media,specifically rags like the Scum,Daily Wail and other sensationalist gutter press,coupled with chavs,gangstas and flotsam like them,plus the failed Dangerous Dogs Act has ruined the poor Staffies reputation by giving the impression that these dogs are bad. They aren't. Its a big hill to climb to get them back to where they should be,ie loving family dog but we will get there.
