but on the same token if it weren't for war journalist the people back home would've never had images like the one of the American troops taking down the statue of Saddam Hussein in 03 or the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima in 45 or the tet offensive in 68. you may disagree politically with the views of the station they work for but the war journalist is vital to recording our military history. stars and stripes isn't exactly a civilian publication.
