dont be stupid. Kirk is miles ahead of dave in terms of lead playing. especially back in the 80's. kirk didnt copy any of dave's solos.learn your music to hear the difference in their solos for metallica and if you play guitar youll know dave's leads are alright at best and kirk just sounds better

I can sweep pick 6 strings, doesnt mean id use it in my solos if it doenst go well in a song. go listen to daves solos and youll see hes off key in ALL of them..atleast for metallica. Dave abuses speed and they both use the same scales, just kirk uses them to make his own sound which is recognizable to the entire world..dont see that happening with dave

And when kirk got into the band, he didn't have skills to play dave's solos, he just made them to sound like the  same with more overdrive and wahwah-pedal and they don't use same scales. dave uses more strings on fast solos and kirk uses only 1 or 2 strings and he just puts wahwah on it

That's not true cause he made the riffs and hetfield wrote the lyrics and when they were kicking mustaine out of the band, he told them not to publish HIS SONGS(jump in the fire, the mechanix, phantom lord, metal militia and his riffs on rtl, ktulu) on any metallica album, still they did.
