@SuspendedSky55 The candidates in the final election are always the ones most funded. That being said, it's easy for some rich people to decide who will be in the final election by funding them, and this happens every election. The only person I've ever had the urge to vote for is Ron Paul and most of his funds came from everyday people. In other words, he had no chance. When's the last time any president actually made your life better? They are all the same because their focus is money, not us.

@Lateralus8808 I meant in a more ironical sense. The politicians who final come as candidates aren't Martians, they rise from the same society. Their demographic make-up can be completely random and diverse - rising from the slums, literally, (which is rare, agreed) or aristocrats with a free ticket to power. Politicians, in other words ARE us. I agree, Obama has been a mistake. All talk and no action. Who knew? (Well, apart from you, who obviously had your head held right election day.)

@SuspendedSky55 I understand, but (and I'd hate to say it) it doesn't matter and it is like a lot of liberals say, corporations really do run the show. Look at who funds every president that has been elected, especially in the past 20 years. It doesn't matter whether it's republicans or democrats; that is all a game to keep us thinking we're involved. George Orwell's 1984 is much closer upon us than we think. The same people that fund presidential candidates also own the news channels.

I've seen it first hand, and I find it sickening now to see anyone put their complete trust in republicans or democrats just because they consider themselves and republican or democrat. The truth is people with money will always control the world; it's just how it is, but these days it's getting ridiculous. Obama was the perfect puppet to do what they wanted because they knew they could get him elected. They knew because (sorry if this sounds racist) the majority of black people would vote for him because he's the first black candidate. And as most presidents he was full of shit.

And presidents forget, one year on, in the gory of bullet-proof glass & SS, what they should be doing. They need to be reminded of their values. Mainly I think some sort of limitation on ridiculous campaign money per unit combined with a rigorous detox by talking to Character (not personality)-ethic focused people. Reality's very difficult.
