SOLUTION! turn off your idevice. it needs to switched off for ten minutes atleast. now plug lead from iphone into your arse and cough as loud as you can. insert into mac/pc and u have been jailbroken. good luck guys

ok so, i've been jailbreaking since snow breeze, and i decided to do this on my 3rd gen 32gb touch, running on mac 10.5.8 (leopard) and the jaibreak starts up fine, and every time i get the ipod into DFU the jailbreak fails to deliver the payload, or the app just crashes, any help? is anyone else having this problem on RC5 B4 on mac?
