  • Caruso: how did this man die

Mortician: a chair from space fell right ontop of him.

    Caruso: (glasses off),,,

cant think of a pun but you get the point.

  • hate to have a chair leg land on me from outer space

  • be funny if you just see and alien sitting on it reading a book lol

  • "Space chair survived the one and a half hour climb to 95 thousand feet, it broke up on the return to earth..."

  • Toshiba never heard of photoshop?

  • @cfi2927087 but then it would be fake, they did this.

  • mr. chair

  • why helium and not hydrogen?

  • @LizzyAston Hydrogen does have double the lift but helium is far safer.

  • @liammk96 so would the balloon pop at a higher altitude or would it burst at the same as helium?

  • spaaaaaaaaaace! :D

  • oh i thought we could now sit in space :'(

  • 0:20 epic grammar fail... "shooted".

  • @Lannareth "Shoot it in High Definition". Sir, it appears the only epic fail here is you. Have a glorious day.

  • @Cruithnig I have succeeded. You, sir have responded to my ingenious trap.

  • @Lannareth Curses!

  • @Lannareth he said "shoot it"

  • Hay can I hav my chair back now lol

  • Was it filmed using a Go-Pro?

  • or you could just use editing software...

  • 0:19 "SHOOTED a gun". What is he smoking?

  • I thought there was no sound in space

  • My cousin was killed by a falling space chair :(

  • thats what im talking about!

  • PewDiePie: HEY IS MR CHAIR! HOW DID HE GET THERE!?!

  • thumbs up if you saw the chair legs break apart in space at 2:08 :)

  • I'd be concerned with that landing on someone's head coming back down.

  • @V3ryan Perhaps that is why you are not behind a balloon releaser company and these reckless people are.

  • take a seat

  • After all launches in the U.S. so the U.S. has decided this space program

  • ur horrible at photoshop

  • PHOTOSHOP FFS!

  • the Mexican space program

  • @Lockerzhaker1 and you must have a way better space program dont you. your space program must be fan fucking tastic. didnt think so, racist cunt.

  • @infamouschief117 calm yo tits its a joke

  • I would be afraid of getting stuck with my arm during the launch.

  • Rebecca : "Which seat Can i Take".?

you should try this seat hahahahh

  • "Which seat can I take?" This one.

  • then splinters fly in space and destroys our satellites

  • Can I have my chair back now?

  • all good until they noticed they forgot to hit the 'record' button...

  • Ummmm.... Did this, like, actually happen? It's not a CGI hoax...?

  • so what it the leg of a chair smacked you on the head at 200+ mph

  • HOLLU GOD DAMNIT! it`s russian chair!!!

  • MY CHAIR!!

  • This is pretty cool!!

  • Watch the guy get hit in the head at 0:15

  • They couldn't have picked an uglier chair...

  • Carlsberg dont do chair launcing to outer space, but if thay did, they would probably put justin beiber on the chair

  • what a waste of effort...

  • why isnt this video in HD

  • does anyone see a tits in the suggestion!

  • theres a boobie in the suggestions ( . Y . )

  • have they not heard of greenscreen?

  • @boogiebuddy01 I hate when people write like a 2 year old.

  • Comment removed

  • Imagine sitting on that chair Yeah

  • I wish i was on that chair.

  • Illusive Man, Mass Effect 2 anyone??

  • @DanielDenmark Are you sure? I dont think thats the song.

  • @TommyTMOD Wasn't talking about the song.

  • @j1d22 I know which seat she can take

  • sit justin bieber and rebbeka black in the chair

  • @j1d22 Don't forget lady gaga :D

  • @j1d22 haha!

  • @j1d22 Why the fuck are people like you such an arrogant, ignorant prick to those people? FUCK OFF.

  • Comment removed

  • @j1d22 One. They sing better than most people, most likely including you. I don't like them, but you don't have to be an arrogant asshole to those KIDS. Justin Bieber is more successful than the boy bands of the early 2000s put together. Rebecca Black isn't a good singer but I grantee she is better than you. They get ridiculed enough, so just STFU...

  • @narutolll

ok....ok.....ok.... i was a little bit arrogan..... ill stop saying that sorry for all justin bieber and rebbecca black fans

  • @j1d22 Thanks. I'm not a fan, I just hate it when people ridicule people like that. Ya know?

  • @j1d22 good work now we know final solution to the better future (y)

  • @j1d22 and then tie them up to the chair...

  • @SporeFan01234

then untie them once up there....

  • @j1d22 which seat should i take?

  • That was news 10's Dale shornack

  • chuck norris sat on that chair!!!

  • if there is no sound in space, why we could hear the balloon bursting?

  • @alexxicatto because it is not totally in space yet.. there is still air up there.. thats why the ballon can get there in the first place (because the gas in the ballon is lighter than the air surrounding it) : )

by the way.. you can do this on your own too.. costs you around 150$ to send photo cam and gps transmitter (to find the ballon) up there

    google " space balloon project 1337 "

if you recover it you just need a new ballon for the second flight : )

  • Reminds me of Lawn chair Larry from the Darwin Awards.

  • the beeping sound it makes is addictive to listen to

  • I was wondering why a broken chair suddenly appeared in the backyard of my house.

  • Comment removed

  • @ofa120 lol

  • How on earth do u get FAA clearance on that?!

  • @FCPWHAT because it was in a remote desert and they had a big budget to conform with all the regulations ;)

i dont remember exactly how it works but if you only have a small setup (photo cam + gps transmitter) under 2kg you just need to inform the agency that you will send a ballon up but you pretty much always get permittion (if you dont do it in a big town + plus use a parachute and styrofoam).. thats at least how it works here in germany

  • Lucky no one got the chair in their head on reentry

  • i wonder if that chair breaks and fall into someone??

  • all these damn white people is goin 2 hell sending shit to space gettin all up in god buisness

  • @dipset12000 are you retarded?

  • @dipset12000 Retard!

  • what if it hir somebody?

  • Boom, Bird pops balloon, chair falls on chuck norris' face.

  • @TheOcMaster As funny as that was, no bird could ever fly as high as when that balloon popped.

  • @DamienZshadow Nono, I mean when its going up...

  • @TheOcMaster Oh I see, hypothetically. Heh, yea. Thankfully birds try to avoid flying head first into things.

  • @DamienZshadow haha, indeed...

  • I wish i was using a special suit with a special parachute attached in the back, just to be sitting in that chair and, when the balloon pops, have hour-long sky dive. For to rise so high only to literally fall from the heavens, i wold feel like Lucifer. What a Journey!

  • Some guy in vid: Oh oh oh it sounds like a FUN mission. Are you fucking kidding me That wouldn't be fun when it break and your ass falls on Chuck norrises POWER FIST.

  • @MrEPICKILLER123 Don't be telling thenm that it it was there fault well u might be DEAD.

  • space chair original

  • wouldnt it be easier to photoshop it?

  • they should of made someone sit in it

  • @CSXUNIT3426

Justin Bieber or Rebecca Black :)

  • @CWINDOWSsystem32 both of tose faggs

  • @CSXUNIT3426

    put them in a loveseat

  • Why did the cair not burn up on reentrey?

  • @billymays1325 because it never actually left the atmosphere

  • if i ever commit suicide i wanna float up in one of those chairs.

  • @fbmbmx904, Unless you were in a high altitude pressure suit, you would be dead by the time you got to about 18,000 feet.

  • @sloperdude sounds like he would accomplish his goal then...

  • I want to see Honda make a commercial like this now! :)

  • hmm... I thought in space there is no air to transport noise....but when thee balloon expoleded u can hear the sound.... wtf sry for my english

  • @Neeroking It was at "the edge of space". There was still air, though very thin. The explosion would've probably been louder at ground level.

  • The video boldly and falsely claims, "They flew an armchair to the edge of space". This is entirely bogus: the chair went to only 98,000 feet which is only 30 percent of the the way to outer space, and just 2.5 times as high as an airliner!

The International Aeronautic Federation defines space at an altitude of 62 miles (327,360 feet); this is the internationally recognized boundary of outer space. The chair went to only 30 percent of this altitude. That is most certainly not "the edge space".

  • @wsxvgy

Man dude just shut up and stop flaming. Technically you may define space like that, but on THAT altitude having such a view is already space for 99.9% of the people. Point.

Also you didn't even tell us your ressource which you should do before writing comments like that! Peace~

  • @Mutio86 You speak for 99.9% of the people? I missed that vote. I hope the following link is adequate "resource" for you: look up "Kármán line" in Wikipedia.

  • @wsxvgy

    Alright then, man.

Don't get your panties in a wad.

  • What does the stupid modem sound have to do with it? Nothing! How stupid.

  • I assume the did not cordon off an area of 100 miles around the launch site. So one day, somebody's gonna get crushed by a falling chair. After that, everyone's gonna be asking themselves how they could ever allow such a thing! :-D

  • Why is every big company jumping on the 'tie balloons to an object and send it to space' bandwagon? It's getting old. Add some variation!

  • hey where can i find the video where it actually falls to the earth?

  • Well they got into the stratosphere....I'd like a view like that from my chair.

  • This is a rip-off of an artist called Simon Faithfull who did this in 2004.

  • i laugh if a bird hit the baloon when it got like 50ft up

  • they copied simon faithfulls idea

  • THATS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • now all they need to do is put a dude in a spacesuit in the chair

  • @101andrewj already did that when they invented the parachuteXD kind of weird testing it from the highest attitudenXD

  • That's really cool!!! What a great idea!

  • @AlPacino1337 Too bad they stole it from escape vehicle 6.

  • ...then where the hell is the HD or at least the 720p version of it ???

  • What camera did they use?!

  • Wills222 - go to >>> 'equals 3' to find your answer :-)

  • 2:28 wallpapered.

  • thumbs up if you think there next lanch someone should sit in the arm chair

  • Wow that is so cool cool.

Toshiba deserves the credit for it.

  • And I thought it was fake and gay....

  • @undisputed4life You thought it was fake and gay? What??!! I can almost understand you thinking it was fake, although there is ample proof is is real. But why would you think it is homosexual? That makes no sense at all. Did two people of the same gender have relations during the video? No they did not. Why would you use that term?

  • @wills2222 The thing that gets me personally, is how this is a blatant rip off of escape vehicle 6 which was done back in 2004. The same audio tone was used, same idea (That being a chair into the stratopause) and videotaping it.

Furthermore, they then try to pass it off as an original idea. Now escape vehicle 6 was a public event as well. The maker of space vehicle 6 was not involved in the toshiba project at all either. I find that to be ... annoying to say the least. Yet typical.

  • Can someone give me a link to the video of the chair falling?

  • Its nice to see that breathtaking scenes like these now no longer have to be CGI as technological advances have made it possible.

  • Sacramento!

  • haha nicce!

  • @Coastergeekperson04 honestly dude... don't ruin evryones fun, dose it really matter that much?

  • @monkeypooification hahaah... good call, i just rekon it looks cool... idont wanna know its molecular charicteristics hahahahaha

  • thats pretty awesome

  • It would be great if they show us how it fall to earth.

sry my english isnt very good.

  • now how can i get a job like that!!!

  • @Epiphone101 Buy weather balloon $30+Decent camera $50+rope $5+gps $25=what you see here.

  • 98,000 feet? That's nothing -- 18 miles -- less than half the height of low-earth orbit (what the shuttles use), it wouldn't even reach sub-orbital flight (or the simple "it goes up, it goes down" system), and it shouldn't wander far from where it was launched. Looking at the footage, I doubt it ever left Nevada.

It takes energy to go 40 miles up while accelerating 17,500 mph, and some silly weather balloon would go nowhere near those rates.

  • I wish there was an uncut raw version!!

  • So, what's stopping an average person from using this method to travel to space?

  • @DominickBlack

Balloons can only travel to the edge of space, no more than about 150,000 feet. This is only around 30 miles high, not very far at all. You cannot reach orbital altitude via balloon, let alone travel to any other celestial body.

  • That's just beautiful!!!

Hopefully it'll prove to the christians and flat-earthers that the earth exists, floating in space!

  • @arachn1dinshoe

you do reliese that no one believes the flat earth thing for 200 years and everyone knows earths in space

  • @arachn1dinshoe Is there really people that still believes that the earth is flat..!? lol omg.. o.o

  • Tht was cool

  • Didn't it burned on re-entry? how high should it be to burn like a meteor?

  • @danielcarlostan

The reason why meteors burn up in our atmosphere is because they are traveling at tremendous speed. They travel through the mesosphere and compress the air in front of them. Balloons can only travel into the upper stratosphere/lower mesosphere, and they cannot travel fast enough to heat up significantly.

  • It was nowhere near burning circumstances. The shuttles burn because they re-enter at a faster rate than gravity and in a rather vertical motion. It is intentionally burned to slow it down. A free-fall from just 98,000 feet is nothing-- well, except for the hard landing, but, other than that....

  • @danielcarlostan To burn up it would need to be travelling at high speed.

  • @HungaricusDominatus People fly things into space all the damn time. It's very cool that they wanted the real deal for a commercial rather than animation.

  • wow thats real

  • @HungaricusDominatus

The space shuttle is seperate from the rocket, which are essentially entirely fuel. The amounts (of fuel) needed to escape the atmosphere are massive (when going from rocket to "outer space"). but those are going from ground to space. The higher up you are already, the less fuel you need to escape from the atmosphere, like rocket planes that detach from larger planes once reaching a certain altitude.
