  • Is this Dr. Chase from House doing this demo?

  • To me the OD400 sounds the best.I think I will buy this one and give it a try. Thanks for the review.

  • or you could spend an extra 10 pound and get boss super overdrive

  • The level settings arent the same so thats no comparising.

    Regards,

    C.

  • @ElvisGreatest they are the same audible level they all have different output so the volume controls are set accordingly

  • I like the to800 it sounds the more natural to my dodgy old ears ;0) i cant believe its only 25quid delivered brand new. Cheers

  • the middle one sounds a lil dead.

  • I dont no whether to get the TO800 or the OD400. which one is better for classic rock/hard rock?

  • Hey I was checking out your video and thought I'd have a look on the behringer web-site. I found your video on there!

  • does it matter what amp ur using ? i mean if im using a cheap amp which has only one distortion button ? (lol)

  • Thanks, this vid helped me out :)

  • true to its word, these Behringer pedals can really compete head to head with the leading brands. i just got myself the BO100 and TO800 and compared them with my Boss BD2 and Ibanez TS9, and I cant even tell the difference.

  • @kiko0072 yep i had a deluxe reverb boss pedal and im going back to behringer...oh well

  • Hi have the vintage tube overdrive, had it for ages,i know they have a rep for being cheap and nasty but it sounds great especially through a decent tube amp and good guitar, more than worth the money, better than the boss and half the price, good informative video...

  • Overdrive reminds me of Boss bass overdrive

  • why don't you show a Power Overdrive PO100?

  • damn i just bought the ohter three pedals, the digital delay, digital multy-fx and the super metal, but crap i dind knew that those existed, well thank for the vid im going to buy those.

  • damn i just bought the ohter three pedals, the digital delay, digital multy-fx and the super metal, but crap i dind knew that those existed, well thank for the vid im going to buy those.

  • does anyone have the od400? i want an od with more of a modern sound, looking at od400 and boss overdrive

  • The vintage tube sounds great, I'm going to buy a behringer pedal but I don't really know what I'm looking for yet. Very useful video for me.

  • i like the vintage overdrive it has the tone that i want!!!

  • are good pedals behringer?

  • muy buen video amigo!!! :) me ayudo mucho a tomar la decisión por cual comprar....

    saludos!!

  • Hey man, thanks for the review. Could you give me some advise?? I'm looking for a behringer pedal to use on stage. A pedal that will give me more volume over other guitars when i start soloing. Would the OD400 be a good choice for that? I'm not a shredder/ metal head but more a blues/rock/funk kind of player. Thanks!!!

  • Nice video intheblues, thank you for featuring BEHRINGER BO100, TO800 and OD400 pedal. Do you have band? We've subscribed to your channel to keep us posted. Godspeed.

  • You have the level up higher on the OD than the tube OD.

  • three overdrive pedals? killer.. :D

  • i like the vintage the most!the bluesdriver is'nt to bad also!the vintage is more adeptebel in it's range!try an behringer pb-100 with it!!!

  • what camera are you using?

  • @afiqfalif I think it was a Canon SD Card Recorder/Video Camera, I am now using 2 x 1080p high def sony cameras (on my newer vids)

  • am i wrong or the blues overdrive has delay?

i saw it in another review, but the boy didnt say if it was on the pedal or in his amp

  • @Dorillo76 no delay in there at all, just overdrive. Any delay / reverb is from the amp

  • wow thta crate has a great clean tone i used to have the v33 head

  • @MrBingo9er they are a good amp, i just sold mine last weekend but they are good. I had 4 amps so yeah it was time to downsize hehe

  • why have an overdrive pedal when you can jsut switch your amp to overdrive? is the reason so you can switch without having to stop playing? if so why spend round 20-30 bucks for a simple change of sound when performing?

  • Got my son the VTO and he doesn't use it much so I took it. It's possibly the best pedal I have ever had. I bring it with me to jam regardless of what spare amp my friends have. Been playing with it and Peavey Revalver also and it's awesome. It's a must have if you are going to get a pedal to hold you over from spending money on overpriced stuff that doesn't deliver until you can get that $1000 tube preamp or something hehe.

  • Like you said, sounds like they all have their place.

I have the TO800 and love the smooth blues tone it puts into my amps.

Just a note for anyone buying one of these:

    1. Make sure if you buy an adapter that it's center negitive & sleave positive. You can find them for about $9.

    2. To open it and get to the battery compartment you just use a pen and push in on the medal hinge that the foot switch pivots on. Only took 5 mins to figure it out but not b4 making me feel like an idiot.

  • @WalterSobchakBowler i took me like 3 months to figure how to put the battery :S

  • Glad I bought the TS9DX from Ibanez...thanks for putting this out there.

  • I have the OD400 and it sounds great with my Jack&Danny guitar... Very cool sound for blues, rock and hard rock.

  • Hi man, I love your reviews. I'm planning on buying a couple of these. What amp are you using? Is it a tube amp or a solid state one? I've a solid state Fender Stage Amp. Plz answer. Thx a lot in advance.

  • Hey Chase, where is House?

  • Nice review dude. I definitely like the OD400 ad the TO800. But I saw another video where the reviewer said that the polarity of the DC-In plugs on these Behringer pedals are reversed compared to other models like Boss, Digitech etc? Is this true? Are you using your normal daisy chain and AC Adapter? Cheers!

  • the green one, sounds great!!

  • There is only 1 Buddy Guy. No pedal is going to make you sound like him. Don't be fooled

  • the somewhat gentler OD of the green Tube Screamer clone sounds like it would work well on the front end of a gainy amp like a Marshall plexi or JCM800 or Vox AC30, while the overdive on the right is a little more overt and might work well on the front end of a mid 60s Fender amp, a Princeton or a Pro or a Twin. They're good pedals, I like 'em.

  • 2:19 Foot comes out of No where hah

  • can u help me dude...how setup more 2 pedal.? how abou the cable connection?

  • Should be simple, a cable from amp to pedal. Thats goes in the "out" then a cable from that pedal to the next pedal, then the final pedal to the guitar.

  • Plastic?

  • @wowzerz1its2a3guitar They're built with hard plastics... Very durable... they wont break unless you smash them around to intentionally break them....

  • @wowzerz1its2a3guitar yeh they are plastic but they're pretty damn indestructible =]

  • wow this is definitly a budget rig

  • My amp has looooads of buzz on overdrive channel. Will using a OD pedal on clean channel reduce that?

  • sounds like an issue with earthing or some sort of electrical interferance.

  • @intheblues

Which would you reccomend for the solo in Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop

    Good demo aswell.

  • Might be a while since u wrote this comment... but it might be cause of the guitar cable... otherwise u could get a noisegate (or noise supressor pedal from behringer aswell)

  • @cgrdrummer is it a marshall mg series or other similar amp?

  • have you tried the behringher vintage tube monster? vt999

  • nope is it good?

  • @guttersnipephil Yes! and even better after you replace the stock 12ax7 with a good high quality tube.

  • I use a od400 as my solo-boost. Works excellent! Almost glad that my Digitech Screamin Blues died and I needed something cheap for some upcoming gigs.

  • is it "cruel" for the signal to use two overdrive pedals or more at the same time?

  • not at all some of the best pedals in the world have 2 overdrive pedals in one.

  • i wanna sound like buddy guy,do you recommend the od400 for this?

  • Any of them should be ok for that. The green one is "smoother" so you probably would want one of the other two for a more ripping sound.

  • Buddy usually has a pretty bright stinging tone, so go for something fairly low gain, but very bright to nail an approximation of his tone.

  • got behringer SM400 n it sounds fuzzy any idas on how to reduce that?

  • Just got my Green TO800 for Christmas and played a gig the day after.

I also got the Behringer 7-band EQ pedal.

Field Report: Best musical purchase Ive made in a long time.

Extreme value with these pedals and the TO800 truly screams.

I had a few "tonegasms" on stage last night when my solo would finish off in a beautiful singing harmonic that made everyone in the band turn wuth an "Oh yeah!" look ~ they knew how happy I was. Both pedals are simply EPIC

  • Great guitar player

  • Can you make a video with just One note being played but then change the pedals?

  • OD 400 is soooo cool <33 i bought it =D

  • od400 very cool. Thanks for the demo

  • stupid comparison. you should have put the same setup on all of them. with different settings it can't be a comparison at all.

  • please help;

i need to buy a fairly cheap pedal tomorrow (£10 - £30ish) to play nirvana - 'smells like teen spirit' please reply on here ASAP or send me a message etc

    thanks

  • i bought the bo100 for 12euros sry i don't know how much thats in pounds

  • are those made of metal? or is it plastic?

  • @Phreakshow91 Plastic.

  • Plastic

  • OD400 I like :-)

  • mee too

  • Green one sounds good!

Right one sounds more rough though..

  • but the green one hasn't a sufficient distorsion... i love the OD400

  • how long do the batteries last on these pedals? nice playing btw ;)

  • they last for ages, just don't leave them plugged in when you're not using them. Like all pedals this will drain them faster than normal. I don't change the batteries very often at all.

  • OD400 is my favourite. Great Sound.

    :) nice play!

  • thanks.

  • purple one is my fav of the trio

    thanks

  • Did you teach yourself Blues? If not what did you use!? I love how you play!!

  • I got a video called Beginners Guide to Blues Guitar by Matt Smith, it's quite good. Other than that I learned to imitate a lof of what I like the sound of and I'm always trying to expand the bag of licks

  • OD400 sounds great

  • was that a sparkle drive?

    nice video. helped a lot

  • No sparkle drive on this video, just behringer. This is as good as the sparkle drive. The "clean boost" on the sparkle drive is a waste of money.

  • SUENAN IGUAL LOS 3 Q ONDA ?=

    O.o

  • viva la beringher pe tutti quelli poracci come noi

  • @skupikkienno Bravissimo!

  • which one would you recommend for pushing an already overdriven/distorted amplifier?

  • also which one is the brightest and most responsive to harmonics?how do these pedals compare to a boss sd-1 for boost use only?appreciating ur help!nice tone btw for overdriving only i prefer the to800 cuz it has that crispity and crunchyness that my ears are in love with!

  • From the sound of it: the first one.

  • Either the Green or the Blue one. :)

  • your tones already awesome with the pedals turned off

  • Thanks. A good clean tone is the best starting point. :)

  • are you using a single coil?

  • I'd love different pedals for different songs, a nice collection isgreat.

  • i think the one in the middle is the most natural sounding tube like .

  • the one on the far right i think is the best, it just sounds nicer, i think i'll get that one

  • I also wanna know which is best for the smooth and warm tones. Like john mayer and srv. Which do you think is best suited for me?

  • which overdrive pedal is the best?

you know i don´t play metal so i just want that distortion with a warm sound...

  • why does somebody need 3 overdrive pedals?

    behringer rules!

  • ROFL!

That is the question I ask myself all the time except I have 7 overdrive pedals LOL! I dunno why either ;)

  • dude? 7 pedals?

i just have one, the behringer tube overdrive.

It´s just 9,90€ this is the cheapest pedal in the world! and i also have a wahwah and a digitech multi...

does the sound get better if u have several pedals connected together?

    ahh, sry for my english...

  • 1 is normally enough

2 is good if u want a volume boost or more overdrive :)

  • The overdrive pedal has more gain i think its the best there!!!!

  • I wiish I was that good at blues improv.

  • i actually use BOSS lol :p

  • Behringer's for cheap asses.

    I'm a cheap ass.

  • yeah lol

  • i do prefer the green one!

  • okay, i can't make up my damn mind here i need help lol. the only distortion pedal i have is the Boss Metal Zone MT-2 and it is incredible....for metal only!! Im looking for something that plays less aggressive, softer stuff, you know: Guns 'n roses, Zeppelin, AC/DC, etc. CAn someone PLEASE tell me the best pedal for the softer classics... the highest i'm willing to go is maybe 40-45 bucks..(Behringer prefered cuz they're cheap lol) THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

  • Nice test matey. Thanks for putting it up

  • The green one is a bit like the fulltone osd used by Robin Trower etc.

    Thanks Mate

  • these pedals are like 20 bucks a pop haha sooo cheap

  • Comment removed

  • i have got behringer dm100 adn gdi21 and both are good pedals but these are better ........ overdrive win and distortion lose but i like both my pedals .... nice playing and awesome pedals

  • OD400 win! i have Tube overdrive TO100 and my is better than all your behringer overdrive.

  • OD400 was good yeah it's in the video mate.

  • what do you think about to800 and od400??

  • TO 800 is my fave. OD400 was good but I didnt use it at all so I sold it. The green one and the BO100 are my two faves

  • What did you use to power all three of these at the same time? There are the Godlyke power supply chain cables on Amazon, and it's the only thing I can find that I think would work for Behringer pedals.

  • Check out 9V 1100milliamp power supplies (they look small and sleek like phone chargers do) then check out "daisy chain leads" in regards to the connectors that go on the end of the charger/supply ;)

  • I already have a power supply, but I need the daisy chain, what brand are you using?

  • not sure, doesnt really matter to be honest just but a good one.

  • Lol yeah I just didn't know if Behringer pedals used standard power jacks or not, and in a way that's kinda what I was asking =P

But I bought a daisy chain off Amazon, have to wait a little while for it to come though since it just went out of stock and is currently on back order, luckily I won't be getting any more pedals between now and when I get it though, so I'll be able to manage ok with the 2 pedals that I do have.

  • Excellent test, thanks!

  • aussie aussie aussie BTW love the blue 1

  • Use your ears to buy pedals. These are exact copies of pedals that are much more expensive internally. You'll get about 100 thumbs down for that comment lol

  • I think the Behringer is not so cheap for buy it....

    In Hungary the TO800 cost HUF16000 (convert: €56) Boss OD3 cost Huf21500 ( Euro 76) Ibanez TS10 Huf31000 (€110 ) I think they are affordable

  • nice bluesman XD

  • lol hes a fucking australian dick head not south eouropean.

  • rofl it's all good :)

  • HA HA wots a southwestern european accent?? iam english and never heard of that one, great demo by the way

  • gr8 test!

  • Thanks dude, awesome test.

  • i got a Behringer heavy metal distortion pedal

  • Which do you recommend for a British Indie rock kinda style?

  • Blues overdrive and vintage tube overdrive are gr8t

  • dude i love your southwestern/european accent!

  • lol :)

I am Australian but thanks :-D

  • oh, shit. didnt think of that! haha

  • thanks for spreading the love for behringer pedals i own a few my self and love each one and not problems from any of them

  • thanks mate, no problems. i recently put the behringer pedal vs the pedals they were cloned from and the results were quite interesting. For example the TO800 sounds the same as the most saught after ibanez tube screamer. I'll have to post some new videos soon :)

  • thx dude.good job.very informative.

  • I got a Behringer wah, delay, and ultra distortion and a jjlabs overdrive, and a pocket pod. XD

  • i got a new gold plated lead chord and i get no buzz what so ever :D

  • Gold plugs don't make the connectors better in most cases ;) Go for switchcraft or something similar :)

  • hey, i've got the TO800 after replacing it with the Automatic Wah. Really gets good sustain, would you recommend any other behringer pedals?

  • Yep all 3 in this video are great. I've heard their wah pedal too, it sounds pretty good.

  • The TO800 sounded smoother and warmer than the more aggressive OD400. As for as the BO100, it sounded too weak to my ears compared to the other two.

    Good job.

  • is it possible to get led zeppelin sound out of the od400?

  • it won't play led zeppelin for you... hehe. Im not really sure, possibly? It really depends on your guitar and amp.

  • Nice video, what are your amp gain, volume and tone settings?

  • amp is flat on clean channel with everything at 12 oclock

  • can you get led zeppelin sound out of od400?

  • Are these good with humbuckers??

  • yeah man, if you like the ts9 or similar pedals with your guitar you should like these. Check out the behringer vs ibanez test with the ts9 its a good example :)

    Shane

  • thanks and saw that video and there is no difference to my ears, the only bad thing about these pedals is there plastic

  • has the OD400 more drive?

  • Yeah I believe it does have more drive than the green pedal. It's a different sound. If you want more drive maybe try the 100, it's a great pedal.

  • preferably the bo100

  • Im lookin to buy one of these to boost my lead parts. Im in a Iron Maiden/Judas Priest style band, which pedal do you recomend?

  • Probably something more aimed at distortion, rather than overdrive. I'm not sure with music like that sorry?
