Thanks for posting this, created using the Yamaha D-20 & TX81Z - a cool synths. The producer Babyface at one point had two TX81Z units in his studio, both of which he kept set to a bass patch, one detuned from the other. This became a part of his signature sound. The best synth patches for both these classic synths can be found at manymidi.com
@reg1167 Thanks man, I do my thing in Ableton as well, but I like the tactile feel and control of buttons and knobs. Software seems to change the creative process. Both can be used for good. Work with what you got.
@subtexthiphop I agree, there is a spiritual process in creating music with hard ware, and software often passes up expressions, and gestures that you can only get when you actually play these instruments.
yo bro this is sick.. i tried to watch on my phone and got bad sound.. bumping this on the studio monitors now.. proper! the clav is my favorite.. when i come up we should do a funky finger drummer duet ;)
Total Junkie!! I started out on hardware back in '99, drifted off into software land, but came back. I use software here and there but love the sound and feel of the old stuff, plus the challenge of figuring it out and using it.
