Also the CCF was the invention of Thomas Clement Douglas, Americans did fuck all, this is simply more Kike propaganda trying to convert America toward Marxist brand of Socialism.
Fact is after Tommy's death, they destroyed socialism in Canada and now the nation used it as a stepping stone to ethnically cleans the population, stock, whom founded the nation via third world immigration and welfare state benefits and went on toe destroy the educational centres and healthcare.
Actually both are seperate, however both are the same in the sense that they are being ethnically cleansed of the British/French people whom founded their nations.
And already bankrupted and third wrold nations with third world populations.
As for socialism being a "American" important, their was no America then, their was the colony's and the Catholics stayed loyal to the crown and went north where the southern protestant rebeled.
@CelticAngloPress But Canada is not in America? I saw a map of the continent and it looks like Canada is part of America, as well as Colombia, Argentina or the US
Dont know where its roots came from or whether it was an import from American but Canada is absolutely fucked up and Drab whether too and I would never go back there
@Iamwolf134 You cannot confuse corporatism for socialism. We do not have socialism in the USA... We have favoritism. What Canadians do is for 'all' Canadians, what America does is for 'some' Americans. Hmm... someone needs to seriously read what socialism is, was, and can be before jumping to wild conclusions about 'redistribution of wealth' nonsense. All governments have examples of some socialism, without government cannot function. What you want is "soft socialism".
@TigerghostPictures that comment was not meant to be taken very seriously. Oh and by the way, corporate capitalism cannot be the same as traditional capitalism. You simply reinforced my "soft socialism" thing, it's that I simply call it "the common man's socialism."
I am American and a Constitutionalist Conservative Republican, so opposed to Liberalism, Socialism and Communism, as they are the same. Canada should of rejected this theory created from Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto on Socialism. Canada needs to reject Liberalism, Socialism or other terms they may use to trick the people. Vote these bastards out!!!
@stephenabm Liberalism by its very nature is the political centre you moron, Socialism and Communism whilst they have their origins based on Marxism they are still two different types of systems, here in Australia the Labor Party (the main left-wing party) is a socialist party, you need to understand the political spectrum better before toy soot your mouth off, here in Australia we avoided recession because of the way our economy works and the large amount of government intervention.
@irishgodfatherchris We know of the damage the left has done in Australia and the freedom's lost to it's citizens. I do though think that Australia is much different than the governments of both the USA and Canada. The US is a Republic and the rule of law guides us. Read the Communist Manifesto, if you are open minded and you will see that the Socialists and Communists are identical twins. Liberalism is different when compared to country to country. Here in the US, it is socialistic. God Bless!
@stephenabm ah yes of course the left destroyed us, they only set up our great healthcare system, education system, political system (including Proportional Representation) oh and saved us from recession. The US only call the left Liberals (Liberalism means the centre or sometimes even centre-right) because you are so afraid of real left-wing politics.
@irishgodfatherchris You lost your gun rights, here that is seen as a major loss to freedom. On the political system, liberalism is not a political movement - the far left is Communist, the far right is Anarchy (not really a political movement as it never lasts) and the center is a Constitutional Republic (the US only has one today). I know many people who are from Australia and not happy with their government. Remember, I am American and only can speak of our system.
@stephenabm a Constitutional Republic is a system of Government not a place on the political spectrum, look up Port Arthur and you'll see why we voluntarily gave up our guns (they aren't needed anyway), they don't like the government because their party did not win the election (Liberal and National voters), consider this Washington D.C has 500,000 people and has 1,000 murders (normally shot) a year, take this into consideration Australia 22 million and only 290 murders after gun control
@irishgodfatherchris You can't blame all Australians for a few incidents like Port Arthur, the government used this incident to take away your rights and it was wrong. The law abiding citizens turned their guns in, but the criminals did not and applaud this law. Crime has always increased when Gun Control is implemented, criminals love gun restrictions. The crime rate has been going down in the US, but gun ownership in growing by the day. Purchases has increased since since Obama was elected.
@stephenabm you know our gun control was introduced by a Conservative Government, also there had been many killings which led to such an extreme measure being taken, Milperra, Walsh Street, Hoddle Street etc. also the facts about crime increasing and gun control is negligible
We in America do not follow much about Australia, so politics is something I do not know much about in your country. I do know about your countrymen losing their gun rights, something that is horrifying to most Americans. I have seen several documentaries on this travesty on your god given rights. I am a gun owner and own several firearms, shoot, gunsmith and train often. Guns are seen in the US as a tool and are not responsible for crime, criminals are responsible. Here gun ownership is rising!
@stephenabm own a gun by all means, but put them in a lockable box and only use them for hunting which is really what most are designed for these days.
@irishgodfatherchris I am not a hunter, just target shoot and train as I did while in the Army. I love this sport and thank our creator for our rights, as they come from him. My guns are kept in a large gun safe and I am very responsible with them, as all gun owners should. Shooting is a sport that I enjoy, but many in my area hunt. I choose not to hunt and kill animals, just not my thing.
@stephenabm of course thats fine, but what I have a problem with are people who carry weapons on them and don't secure them, also I have a problem with people who own guns just for the sake of owning a gun, you have a reason for owning one thats fine but there are so many out there that don't
@irishgodfatherchris In my opinion, owning a gun is a responsibility and a personal right. I do not smoke, but support anyone who does, as it is their right to choose what is right for them. My main reson for owning a gun is personal protection, but also love the shooting sport and exercising my constitutional right. I have no fear of anyone owning a firearm, as it is not people like me who commit crimes. The criminal who commits crimes does not care about gun laws, as they ignore others!
@stephenabm Rights are not given by a creator, they given by popular opinion. Slavery was a right endowed by God until men created the 14th, 15th, and 16th Amendments to the Constitution. During the Lincoln-Douglas debates, both candidates argued the validity and morals of slavery through biblical quotes. God is a manifestation of your own ego. It shares your opinions, emotions, and beliefs; that is why you can say and feel you have a personal relationship with God - when it is you all along.
@TigerghostPictures I understand that you do not believe in God, guess you can argue with him when you cease to live. I will pray for you, as I know there is a god and everything comes from him. I feel the same as the founders of this great country.
@stephenabm Have you ever read anything by Thomas Paine, James Madison, or Thomas Jefferson, three of the founding fathers of the United States? "Christianity neither is, nor ever was part of the common law." TJ; "The declaration which says that God visits the sins of the fathers upon the children is contrary to every principle of moral justice." TP; sincerely you have not done your research on the founders as most were agnostic, deist, or atheist - most were even Freemasons like Ben Franklin.
@TigerghostPictures None were atheistic, all had written about the creator and that our rights come from him and not man. The US Constitution is based on these thoughts. The founding fathers were believers in our creator and mention God many times, in God we trust is one popular theme. They truly believed that Godly morality is needed for a society that is free.
@stephenabm The nation's motto is not 'In God We Trust'. That is the Fed's motto. The motto of the USA is "E. Pluribus Unum" or "Out of Many, One." God is no where mentioned in the Constitution, as it was a contract between the people and the Government, God had no part of it. But, I will say that fundamentalist Christians are on a strong campaign to bring a Christian version of Sharia Law to this nation. Our society does not play favorites; not to welfare hogs or religious nuts. Ayn Rand knewit
@TigerghostPictures I am a fan of Ayn Rand, so we agree on her basic principle of personal responsibility. I do disagree on her "Atheistic" platform. The Constitution does not mention "God", but the documents and writings from the founders include numerous godly references. I believe in our creator, but that is my thinking and the majority of Americans. I am a Constitutionalist, believe in personal responsibility and in the rule of law. I do not believe in playing favorites either.
@irishgodfatherchris We in the US value freedom above everything else, gun ownership is valued and well over 250,000,000 firearms are owned by civilians. Since Obama was elected, gun ownership immediately increased by 20% and continues to rise. People who never fired a gun or owned one are now buying guns in response to his election, as they feel he may try to ban guns. In response, crime has been going down since, but gun ownership rises? We have a constitutional right to bear arms & correctly
@stephenabm consider this the Constitution also says that you can organise a militia, which from my interpretation of the Constitution which I have read its as dry as ours it says that you can organise a police force, also the right to bear arms is to defend yourself against invaders not against your own people
Yeah I bet you're sitting there enjoying an especially nice dinner and home security BECAUSE you aren't paying tens of thousands yearly for health care. What a bunch of toddler brained garbage.
@CaptainDavie1x1 Peoples of British ascendancy form only a third of Canada's population... And the 22% Canadians of French ascendancy and the 4% of Aboriginal peoples should not be forgotten...
You cannot vote in socialism or the socialist society. It is built on self reliance, union solidarity, and reason. The government is a capitalist enterprise like the army, the corporation and religion. They are all built on faith and ignorance. We are living in the world of anarcho-capitalism and yet anarcho-capitalists can never take the blame for the failure of their ideology.
America is as socialist as Canada, the difference being that Canadian socialism is aimed at helping the less fortunate and"average" person while American socialism only helps (bails out) the rich and corporations. I'll take the Canadian version thanks.
@whotwo ... Technically, that not "socialist" but interventionist. There is a strong difference between intervention to create wealth or stabilize a market and intervention to promote egalitarian social and economic rights... Otherwise, you are saying that a police officer have the same job than a nurse or the librarian at the public library.
I'm pretty sure Canada is not strictly socialist. Being Canadian, I can safely say that Canadian government and American government are more similar than some think.
@MrGilles1990 I don't remember that part of history, I'm fairly sure it was your mountains of debt from bailouts of the capitalist economy and massive tax cuts, rather than socialist policies.
@smalltime0 you do not remember it because you weren't in Britain.
If you want to burden your children with massive debt, well go ahead.
We got our mountains of debt through over expenditure, combat this over spending the socialist labour party decided to borrow trillions and trillions...........
We are now paying for that mistake, that socialist mistake.
@MrGilles1990 With all due respect, you have no idea what you're talking about! tony blair has nothing to do with socialism, or socialdemocracy for that matter, what so ever! he was the one that developed the whole third way political position that is nothing more than a fiscal conservative economic policy of the New Labour party! It wasnt the UK's public spending that has effected it's economy but its military campaigns in Iraq! The us waged a war and you got the short end of the stick!
@MrGilles1990 A party can call itself socialist all it wants, but if it doesnt inact socialist policies, then it isnt socialist, and the new labour party under blair was a step back. It was well known and pointed out that he transformed the party away from its more liberal past, so when you go blaming things on the party after blair came in, remember it became more pro-business and pro-war, not socialist ideals.
So blame the right things, your hate for socialism blinds you to the truth.
@MrGilles1990 While china may be moving to capitalism in some ways, its still very much socialist, and yet you think a country thats more socialist than us yet has smaller public sector, less debt, and well, surprised if the stats smaller, but your saying it, your saying they are better off in some ways than us despite being more socialist yet socialism is bad?
Which is it, is socialism linked to us being worse off than china, or is it linked to china being better than us in the mentioned area?
@juanlmesl lol yeah it's made by a guy who is a champagne socialist.
I'm just lucky socialism did not kill, i am lucky it did not turn out like Cambodia,Cuba,North Korea,Russia,Poland and all the unlucky people who found themselves locked in the prison of undemocratic socialism.
@MrGilles1990 dude that's communism and has dictators WAAAAAAY different then what Canada has and Canada has a (Barley) socialist democracy we adopted things from Britain like habeas corpus and magna carta and we still basically have the same rights like freedom of expression
Lenin was not a mass murderer, and Mao's alleged mass murdering is still disputed. Regardless, Mao was a communist, as was Stalin, to a degree. In any case he was more communism than socialism. And the murdering spree of Stalin does not represent the Socialist ideas, but represents the Authoritarians ideologies.
And TRUE socialism wouldn't attack habeas corpus. Calling a dog a mouse doesn't make it a dog.
Don't believe everything that the anticommunists says. Many historians are Americans and American patriotism = anticommunist. And some of them speaks bad about anything communist just cause of money (capitalist propaganda). At this days, many people in the old soviet republics keeps making manifestations in favour of Stalin, mostly old people = EXPIRIENCED PEOPLE and an expirienced person can't be never contradicted by an historian.
@MrGilles1990 Marxism socialism communism has more in common with National Socialism/Fascism and Nazism than with constitutionalism free market economy etc....
@nonfoods1 Yes the start by saying you cannot defend yourself, then confiscating guns. Look at everywhere else in the world where they have confiscated guns, tell me how that has worked out.
Socialism "never worked" in the US because it was crushed again and again by state power, precisely because it was seen as being too popular. Too much of a threat to ruling interests. Things weren't much better in Canada, which is in reality "America lite". Ideas that are repressed in the core of an empire typically survive and take root in its frontier regions. Hence why living in Canada is alot better than living in America - of course if Harper has his way it will soon be much worse.
@mrorville1 social democracy is the perfect government... and thats why im moving to canada :)... its like a peice of europe in north america, the knowledge is so refreashing compaired to the average american... an american who cant give me an accurate date of the earth, is going to enlighten me on the universe, give me a break lol... im so sick of right wing politics, and lies... cant wait for canadian weed :D
Oh and, i understand that socialism and communism is connected. But Social Democracy or "Democratic Socialism" is quite common in western Europe, and Canada (although in Canada, the social democrats never won an election).
hahahahahahahahahaha US import haahahahahahahah US is the most onsocial place on earth the most kapetelistic ahahahahahaha ahahahahahaha do they belive it them selfes xdhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
It's so sad so many of you Bush and Obama voting idiots have allowed the 4th Amendment to be trampled. It's amazing on how you think your so important, worthy and cool--wait until this happens to you...........STOP VOTING CORPORATE SPONSORED PARTIES YOU MORONS.
I guess I should thank these american socialists that came to canada, Thanks for Quebec universal healthcare system, the Hydro-Quebec, the Quebec state owned car insusrance, the Quebec medical drug, the Quebec caisse de depot, the Quebec Invesment fund, the Quebec universal $7 a day daycare centers. In fact these socialists americans helped canada especialy in saskatchowan and in my motherland Quebec. Dear american, why were you nit communists, it would have been even better !
See the same things could be said sincerely in support of socialism or sarcastically in attacking it, depending on the economic literacy of the audience.
I agree that it could have been sarcastic but it was not. I'm a radical socialist so I like socialits and communists (but not the stalinists ones). Of course you can dissagree because Canada is still a free country even with Harper's efforts to limitate limitate and control this.
In the US society "I, me, mine" comes before "we, us, ours"... if you don't believe it just ask a divorce attorney.
If " I " am the most important one because " I " am too busy making money, then " I " can't take care of anyone else, " I " don't care since " I " am too busy fulfilling my own greed, lust and immediate self-satisfaction.
Even Sex is a "thing of two" and sometimes more?? ;)... but for US is just about masturbation and nothing else...
Your making my exact point. I'm talking about the Sociopathic greed inherent within Conservativism. There is no concept of the "other". A sociopath cannot even begin to appreciate the pain or loss felt by others!
There's a reason why they say that 86% of American Serial killers are Registered Republicans.
Conservatism is full of an idealism that says each and every person in the community can attain the most 'stuff' but also the most freedom and winning situations for themselves.
Also worth noting here - the Socialists in this video (and my family were in this) would be considered (by most modern liberal types) to be: Fanatical ultra-conservative right-wing ultra-evangelical fundamentalists.
Care to name a country where charitable donations are not tax deductable?
Besides, last time I checked the reduction in your tax bill is always less than what you donate which means Americans are either charitable or really, really bad at math.
let me see... all teachers from certain school just got fired because only 7% were passing Math, financial meltdown, bailouts (money printing machine out of control), Bernie The Genius got 150 yrs. in the slammer... it all makes me think they suck at math...
BTW... I am american, so don't start the ranting about arabs and yarah, yarah, bush type talk.
When I only care about the money, I am american.
When I care about everything else there is in the world to care about, THEN, I am Canadian.
P.S. Please don't come bombing Canada, you may invade all you want, there is plenty of land for everyone. Just make sure you start invading in late may and promptly finish by early october. Otherwise we will have to help you and won't make you look any good
I don't quite understand what you're talking about. As much as I understand what your saying. It appears we are in complete agreement..... So I don't get the whole bombing thingy...
SickBoyZap5: Hmmm, I wonder why it never took root in the US... Can you say CONSERVATIVE and CORPORATE SOCIOPATHIC GREED!!
That's funny. I always figured one of the main selling points of socialism was the idea of making the rich pay. You know, exploiting the greed of the common man by promising him a share of the profits of the rich.
wow! an american saying "sorry"... shouldn't you just "bomb" whoever does not agree with you? Oh yeah, only terrorists bomb other people... what is it that you do?
i was actually serious when I said sorry. Look, u can take as two ways, one being an ignorant fool who likes to scold people about the past, or two, be a problem-solver. I'm not here to argue about dumb government issues because most of it is just an opinion or perspective.....and I also don't have to explain myself. And wow, u say that all Americans are jerks?!! Way to be stereotypical.......that's like me saying all Canadians are nice...but that's obviously not the case, especially with you.
Hey man, no worries. I know the way I said sorry came out wrong, and what I meant to say is that I'm sorry that we(the younger generation) couldn't have done anything about this issue. There are also quite of some things as an American that I don't personally like about this country. The best thing we(Americans and Canadians) can do is to stick w/ each other and find out what's best.
Hey man, no worries. I know the way I said sorry came out wrong, and what i meant 2 say is we're(the younger generation) sorry we couldn't do anything about this issue. And there also some things as an American I personally don't like about this country 2. The best thing we, Americans and Canadians, can do is 2 talk 2 each other about this and figure out what's best. Because like it or not, we're brothers. And sometimes we fight and blame just like bros, but we should also always help each other
The only reason we don't have more socialism in this country is that the people here, like the United States and other places, are ignorant and afraid of socialism because they do not understand it.
socialism was an american import? really? all the points support that american farmers SUPPORTED socialism, led by a man born in MANITOBA, not the US, from an idea first implemented in RUSSIA.
You need not wish, its already here. A full police-state is on its way, a new by-law in BC will dictate that police have the right to infiltrate and confiscate property as seen fit, and law charges for those who place anti-Olympics signs in their windows. The freedom of speech mandate was reviewed and modified in 2008 to limit public opinion and free expression. Soon the public will be disarmed and only a corrupt government and criminals will have the power of freedom. We can vote without result
what are you talking about that isn't socialism that sounds likes authoritarianism. Socialism is democracy do you even know what "true socialism" is. Socialism is tried way too early because of people like you and the monetary system socialism is impossible same with the zeitgeist movement
This is BS the Socialist part of the Regina manifesto was rammed through on last day of that convention when almost everyone was gone. The CCF changed that part of the parties beliefs the first chance they got which was 2 years later in Winnipeg. The CCF while extremely progressive has never really been socialist and neither is the NDP.
also universal healthcare was a new democrat concept the thing is the liberals made up and technicley represent neutural voters and because of this they swayd towards a good idea
socialism dident spread the idea spread the prairy provences are verys right wing its the coastlines and urban centers outside of the prairys that are "socialist" and the idea is universal canada just has control over the minority or rightwingers in the real world and before 2006 the conservativs bareley made up 1/3 of the vote and they are the only right wing party there are as many as 5 other partys all liberal to liberal socialist
Hehe.. this is great because this is actually my families history.
In our case (and this is BOTH sides) the families immigrated and found themselves either setting up shop on the US side (Michigan, Minneapolis, North Dakota etc in the case of the Scandinavians),
or,
Up to Southern Alberta, Edmonton.
Yep, a few were 'hardcore CCF' but later more moderate (in terms of socialism),
but,
Not enough has been said here about the Christian base and ideology in this particular movement.
Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. Winston Churchill
Ask the poor and unemployed of Eastern Europe what do they think of socialism. You Americans don't know shit about it, you've never lived under it, all you heard is the lack of democracy. Well, let me tell you we had the same small elite of executives running the show. We called them Party members you call them Wall Street managers. They run the show and you keep your head down and hope for the best.
BUT... we had free, education, health care, housing and secured jobs
You don't know shit about your own system and claim state socialism is better than state capitalism. There would not be any unemployment to the levels they're at under capitalism. There would be every incentive for individuals to care for themselves and their family, as if they do not, expenses ensue. As for badlucks, that's what private insurances are for. Despite the fact the state is deliberately attempting to destroy private insurance, it used to take care of low risk high cost problems
Yes, go ask the people of Eastern Europe what they thought of socialism, and why they fled to America by the millions. My Yugoslavian family members traveled for miles, up and down mountains, searching for water. I had family members who ate meat twice a year. There's a reason why you speak English my friend, and it's not because socialism lead to utopia. Yugoslavian idiots still love Tito, but he collapsed the currency and indebted all Balkan nations. My uncle lost his life savings over night.
You live in US I live in Croatia, I know a bit more cos I see it day by day with my eyes. As we speak the my health care which used to be free is getting more expensive, my scholarship is free no more and when I get my collage diploma (in couple of months) I'll be on the unemployment list. Today in Croatia you have to have a connection or offer bribe to mop the streets, that sucks ass but that's the ways it is.
You miss read what I wrote. I never said Yugoslavia was perfect, I just said that the small elite was running the show a that little guy could only hope for the best. What you're describing happened in YU in late 40's and 50's, while 70's and 80's were something completly different. Health care WAS FREE, education WAS FREE, jobs WERE abundant!
My Grandmother lived in Zadar and died needlessly because of the horrible health care conditions.
Jobs abundant? My entire family fled Croatia in the 70s and 80s because the only job available was working in a brick factory or on a salt mine.
I have a house in Croatia and go back every summer. The government is corrupt, there is still a heavy communist mentality, and a lot of central planning. Not to mention that half the labor force gets paid a military pension, and doesn't work.
As far as Serbian control, you are mostly right. However that control was more present in military matters, in the early 90's we saw why they needed it.
So spake WLS Churchill, born at Blenheim Palace with a silver spoon in his mouth. If only we were all lucky enough to be descended from the Duke of Malborough.
On behalf of the poor and the people, the Communist tyranny, levels all men: all are turned into slaves. Crush even his followers. It denies all human rights, reduces all the material and spiritual poverty. Atheism, family destruction, genocide, political prisons, fear. This is the reality of communism.
Also the CCF was the invention of Thomas Clement Douglas, Americans did fuck all, this is simply more Kike propaganda trying to convert America toward Marxist brand of Socialism.

The Americas are two continents, Canada and America are two seperate nations, cultures, seperate history, couldn't be more different if you tried.
Ones a Republic, the others a Constitutional Monarchy, both with their own ethnic/religious/national identitys and make-ups.
So no...Canada is not 'in' America...Americans just got lazy and named themselves after the continent one would suppose.
Both share the same fate and future chaos though, called third world immigration. :)

@stephenabm you know our gun control was introduced by a Conservative Government, also there had been many killings which led to such an extreme measure being taken, Milperra, Walsh Street, Hoddle Street etc. also the facts about crime increasing and gun control is negligible
irishgodfatherchris 6 months ago
We in America do not follow much about Australia, so politics is something I do not know much about in your country. I do know about your countrymen losing their gun rights, something that is horrifying to most Americans. I have seen several documentaries on this travesty on your god given rights. I am a gun owner and own several firearms, shoot, gunsmith and train often. Guns are seen in the US as a tool and are not responsible for crime, criminals are responsible. Here gun ownership is rising!
stephenabm 6 months ago
@stephenabm own a gun by all means, but put them in a lockable box and only use them for hunting which is really what most are designed for these days.
irishgodfatherchris 6 months ago
@irishgodfatherchris I am not a hunter, just target shoot and train as I did while in the Army. I love this sport and thank our creator for our rights, as they come from him. My guns are kept in a large gun safe and I am very responsible with them, as all gun owners should. Shooting is a sport that I enjoy, but many in my area hunt. I choose not to hunt and kill animals, just not my thing.
stephenabm 6 months ago
@stephenabm of course thats fine, but what I have a problem with are people who carry weapons on them and don't secure them, also I have a problem with people who own guns just for the sake of owning a gun, you have a reason for owning one thats fine but there are so many out there that don't
irishgodfatherchris 6 months ago
@irishgodfatherchris In my opinion, owning a gun is a responsibility and a personal right. I do not smoke, but support anyone who does, as it is their right to choose what is right for them. My main reson for owning a gun is personal protection, but also love the shooting sport and exercising my constitutional right. I have no fear of anyone owning a firearm, as it is not people like me who commit crimes. The criminal who commits crimes does not care about gun laws, as they ignore others!
stephenabm 6 months ago
@stephenabm Rights are not given by a creator, they given by popular opinion. Slavery was a right endowed by God until men created the 14th, 15th, and 16th Amendments to the Constitution. During the Lincoln-Douglas debates, both candidates argued the validity and morals of slavery through biblical quotes. God is a manifestation of your own ego. It shares your opinions, emotions, and beliefs; that is why you can say and feel you have a personal relationship with God - when it is you all along.
TigerghostPictures 5 months ago
@TigerghostPictures I understand that you do not believe in God, guess you can argue with him when you cease to live. I will pray for you, as I know there is a god and everything comes from him. I feel the same as the founders of this great country.
stephenabm 5 months ago
@stephenabm Have you ever read anything by Thomas Paine, James Madison, or Thomas Jefferson, three of the founding fathers of the United States? "Christianity neither is, nor ever was part of the common law." TJ; "The declaration which says that God visits the sins of the fathers upon the children is contrary to every principle of moral justice." TP; sincerely you have not done your research on the founders as most were agnostic, deist, or atheist - most were even Freemasons like Ben Franklin.
TigerghostPictures 5 months ago
@TigerghostPictures None were atheistic, all had written about the creator and that our rights come from him and not man. The US Constitution is based on these thoughts. The founding fathers were believers in our creator and mention God many times, in God we trust is one popular theme. They truly believed that Godly morality is needed for a society that is free.
stephenabm 5 months ago
@stephenabm The nation's motto is not 'In God We Trust'. That is the Fed's motto. The motto of the USA is "E. Pluribus Unum" or "Out of Many, One." God is no where mentioned in the Constitution, as it was a contract between the people and the Government, God had no part of it. But, I will say that fundamentalist Christians are on a strong campaign to bring a Christian version of Sharia Law to this nation. Our society does not play favorites; not to welfare hogs or religious nuts. Ayn Rand knewit
TigerghostPictures 5 months ago
@TigerghostPictures I am a fan of Ayn Rand, so we agree on her basic principle of personal responsibility. I do disagree on her "Atheistic" platform. The Constitution does not mention "God", but the documents and writings from the founders include numerous godly references. I believe in our creator, but that is my thinking and the majority of Americans. I am a Constitutionalist, believe in personal responsibility and in the rule of law. I do not believe in playing favorites either.
stephenabm 5 months ago
@irishgodfatherchris We in the US value freedom above everything else, gun ownership is valued and well over 250,000,000 firearms are owned by civilians. Since Obama was elected, gun ownership immediately increased by 20% and continues to rise. People who never fired a gun or owned one are now buying guns in response to his election, as they feel he may try to ban guns. In response, crime has been going down since, but gun ownership rises? We have a constitutional right to bear arms & correctly
stephenabm 6 months ago
@stephenabm consider this the Constitution also says that you can organise a militia, which from my interpretation of the Constitution which I have read its as dry as ours it says that you can organise a police force, also the right to bear arms is to defend yourself against invaders not against your own people

@whotwo ... Technically, that not "socialist" but interventionist. Whatever you do do not go socialist, i warn you!

@MrGilles1990 I don't remember that part of history, I'm fairly sure it was your mountains of debt from bailouts of the capitalist economy and massive tax cuts, rather than socialist policies.
smalltime0 1 year ago
@smalltime0 you do not remember it because you weren't in Britain.
If you want to burden your children with massive debt, well go ahead.
We got our mountains of debt through over expenditure, combat this over spending the socialist labour party decided to borrow trillions and trillions...........
We are now paying for that mistake, that socialist mistake.
MrGilles1990 1 year ago
@MrGilles1990 when did you have socialism in the UK? I hope you dont mean Blair?
kingsammythecat 1 year ago
@kingsammythecat Yeah Blair, the guy who gave us a huge public sector bigger than communist China.
He's given us a socialist utopia where government spends like theirs no tomorrow.
MrGilles1990 1 year ago
@MrGilles1990 With all due respect, you have no idea what you're talking about! tony blair has nothing to do with socialism, or socialdemocracy for that matter, what so ever! he was the one that developed the whole third way political position that is nothing more than a fiscal conservative economic policy of the New Labour party! It wasnt the UK's public spending that has effected it's economy but its military campaigns in Iraq! The us waged a war and you got the short end of the stick!
kingsammythecat 1 year ago
@kingsammythecat You know nothing about Blair socialism because you have not experienced it.
Things like massive debt, big government, anti-freedom acts, these are all the things the Labour party did.
MrGilles1990 1 year ago
@MrGilles1990 A party can call itself socialist all it wants, but if it doesnt inact socialist policies, then it isnt socialist, and the new labour party under blair was a step back. It was well known and pointed out that he transformed the party away from its more liberal past, so when you go blaming things on the party after blair came in, remember it became more pro-business and pro-war, not socialist ideals.
So blame the right things, your hate for socialism blinds you to the truth.

@waltermh111 Massive debt massive state, bigger public sector than china-these are all linked to socialism.
MrGilles1990 1 year ago
@MrGilles1990 While china may be moving to capitalism in some ways, its still very much socialist, and yet you think a country thats more socialist than us yet has smaller public sector, less debt, and well, surprised if the stats smaller, but your saying it, your saying they are better off in some ways than us despite being more socialist yet socialism is bad?
Which is it, is socialism linked to us being worse off than china, or is it linked to china being better than us in the mentioned area?
waltermh111 1 year ago
@waltermh111 Socialism is a failed system, no one country can survive on socialism alone, it needs capitalism to survive.

See, here is were fallacies are inserted.

SickBoyZap5 1 year ago
Socialism can never take root in the US.
Zev121 1 year ago
Your making my exact point. I'm talking about the Sociopathic greed inherent within Conservativism. There is no concept of the "other". A sociopath cannot even begin to appreciate the pain or loss felt by others!

Nope.

BUT... we had free, education, health care, housing and secured jobs

So don't give me that 'you Americans don't know shit' nonsense. My family members on my mother's side shot at my family members on my father's side.
America's economy is essentially centrally planned. Open a book, and stop putting yourself on a pedestal.

The health care was fucking horrible by the way, and the school systems were entirely controlled by the Serbs, as were all prominent positions.

Typical diaspora talk, thinking you know everything on the basis of little summer vacation every year.
Writing in English all the time, but when you lose your temper you swear in Croatian :)))
You definetly fit the stereotypical shoe, like Cinderella

So spake WLS Churchill, born at Blenheim Palace with a silver spoon in his mouth. If only we were all lucky enough to be descended from the Duke of Malborough.

Socialist progressive new fallacy
On behalf of the poor and the people, the Communist tyranny, levels all men: all are turned into slaves. Crush even his followers. It denies all human rights, reduces all the material and spiritual poverty. Atheism, family destruction, genocide, political prisons, fear. This is the reality of communism.
