@doghousepiiman - exactly my sentiments DGP, one does wonder....(perhaps they were hoping to follow in the footsteps of bands like nirvana and pearl jam -blech!) but what do we do? enjoy the great stuff, be grateful for it and look around at all the newer bands that are putting out tracks that rock! and thanks to youtube, there a many, many, many and easy to find!
@davidpenna - Thanks Dave, I spend way too much time complaining about how things should be instead of the way they are....if this is what they like, so be it!
@LucifersLapdog I used to think that too; now I'm relistening to the more recent albums; I loved "Law Of Devil's Land", "Disillusion" etc from the get-go but some music takes time to grow on me before I appreciate it. Loudness should do whatever comes natural to them; we can choose to listen or not.
When they started chasing whatever the trendy sound was, they lost their identity and became a mediocre band with a lot of wasted talent. Like this song. There's absolutely nothing to it, and all I can do is wonder why they even bothered recording it, let alone make a video for it...It's hard to believe that the band that released such classics as "Disillusion" recorded this generic snoozefest.
Yeah, this kind of takes away any meaning for the existence of Loudness. Aren't there already far too many bands doing this kind of redundant, meaningless stuff? Why does a talented band like Loudness need to do crap like this? A complete waste of Akira's talent.
for the retards who say "this is loudness being Korn" or "selling out" this came about about a DECADE after Korn/nu-metal came out so I think they would've jumped on that earlier....anyone who plays music knows you change/evolve/go back...etc...they jam period..old/new forever..blow me if you disagree...no don't
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
sounds like pantera.. well it only adds weight to my comment on another song. Loudness is not heavy metal, as many ppl claim it to be. Loudness are just simple posers, going from 80's hardrock/glam to this alternative sort going into the riffing(lol what riffs) of a nu band. vocals are simple and blending into the other mush happening in the song. 4:03 is just another example of a poor guitar solo. sry this band didnt catch my interest.
by nobody you mean you. two others have agreed with me. your defence in this thread was just a poor one. a band can change style early on - i accept that. but when a band changes style often i can not. theres already a name for that, and it is metallica... now Fuck Trends and Fuck Posers.
Apparently you just didn't like it and so are the "minorities" here that agreed with you. That's just your perspective and your opinion. And if they're addressed as heavy metal in magazines and in interviews, then they're heavy metal bands whether they don't sound like the bands you like or not. Although I do kind of agree that it doesn't really sound like heavy metal. But it's the music that matters. I don't see the point of complaining over a genre.
omg everybody complaining that Loudness isn't that band which was in the 80's, if they were playing same music they wouldn't even had chance to break trought and play over sea in states and europe. The style had changed but hell they music is great. If you don't like it don't listen to it. And the korn issue - listen to both bands and discover huge differences between both bands
dude, korn sucks and in NO WAY will they be able to match a tenth of loudness's talent. Loudness is better whether its vocals, guitars, bass, leads (which, surprise surprise, korn dont have). lets face it jon davis is a transvestite that only WISHES he was a girl hooker and doesnt have HALF the melody Loudness vocalist does. thats all i have to say.
to be able to achieve longevity in this business you have to re-invent yourself again and again......they definitely did and they're all in their 40's or so.....shiz these guys sound like KORN
Wow really heavy, reminds me of korn. I prefer their older stuff but people changes, their views and emotions change, and this is the result of their new style.
KoRN? Jonathan Davis never screamed like this guy. Nor did Korn use any guitar solos. But then, I never listened to Korn all that much, so I might be wrong.
I never listened to this band before, but have to say this song kicks ass really :) Really wants me to start smashing my head, because this song owns :)
I love this song, even if it doesn't sound like the old Loudness...but. Anyone else noticed the guitar riff sounds almost exactly like the song 'Scorpio' from the TRAX?
@HebinoMetaru There's a difference between being in Drop D, playing in the key of D and being in Drop D, playing in the key of E. Tuning has no bearing on which key you CHOOSE to play in.
@HebinoMetaru I believe what kankoraovich probably meant by "key of E" was that he saw what looked like the guitar playing doing bar chords on the 2nd fret. A (2-2-2)-chord which would be an E5 if you were in drop D. Although, I can't say for sure that's what he meant. I wonder if he tuned down to B then? I haven't actually grabbed my guitar or keyboard to see what key the song is in, but if you say it's C# then that's good enough for me.
Suggestion-- get the English double cd version of Racing-- it's actually cheaper (in the States) on cdnow than the Japanese version, all songs are in English, and it comes with RockShocks-- the greatest hits/remix cd. :)

you're right, it probably took them under 15 minutes to put it all together..all in the key of "E" and some weak solos...
