Let's find out a way to help the 15M or so uninsured get emergency coverage and those with preexisting conditions get the treatment they need without destroying the insurance industry, creating a culture of dependency on government, and giving Washington a monopoly on the healthcare industry. It would turn out to be a big mess. Trust me on this.
However the private, for-profit insurance industry has shown absolutely no ability to fully deliver on providing actual health care to their customers, let alone those who can't afford it. Our "system" is mocked and disdained by our peers in other countries for its dysfunction. Radical change is necessary- trust me on THAT.
The others have options and don't take them. Insurance companies don't provide healthcare. They just offer coverage to pay the bill. This idea that insurance companies provide care is silly. The system has it's problems I admit that but they are fixable. I for one have coverage and had to get an MRI but they covered everything including my surgery but dinied the MRI so I had to pay $1200 out of pocket. I still got care.

I believe the CBO says it will raise costs intially- to bring in the uninsured- but WITH A PUBLIC OPTION the costs would come down as private insurers would have to compete with a Medicaid-like program (3% overhead vs. their 20%).

That does not mean the best health care "SYSTEM". If you need and can GET an advanced procedure, you might come here. If you are an "average" person, over there (like Canada or Japan) you get basic care covered and don't go bankrupt if you do get sick.

However the private, for-profit insurance industry has shown absolutely no ability to fully deliver on providing actual health care to their customers, let alone those who can't afford it. Our "system" is mocked and disdained by our peers in other countries for its dysfunction. Radical change is necessary- trust me on THAT.

The others have options and don't take them. Insurance companies don't provide healthcare. They just offer coverage to pay the bill. This idea that insurance companies provide care is silly. The system has it's problems I admit that but they are fixable. I for one have coverage and had to get an MRI but they covered everything including my surgery but dinied the MRI so I had to pay $1200 out of pocket. I still got care.

No way! Cbo says it will raise cost. Their are meny clear examples around the world of the goverment option being no option at all! I worked in canada it sucked! Have a sister who was an exchange student. She got sick in spain. 1 hr after she got off the plane she was in an mri. It was months their. She would have died.

I believe the CBO says it will raise costs intially- to bring in the uninsured- but WITH A PUBLIC OPTION the costs would come down as private insurers would have to compete with a Medicaid-like program (3% overhead vs. their 20%).
The rest of the world, including Canada, rather have their systems than ours. Ask them.

This woman has an I.Q. of about 2, Che was a wealthy nut who liked killing, he joined Castro, and helped him kill many innocent Cubans, after Castro took power, Che was not done killing, he went to Africa, to murder , and after to South America, where he slaughtered many more before he was finally killed. Fidel Castro was a murderer and though retired, probably has a hand in a few more killings. True Castro was a lawyer, but is there a lawyer, anywhere, that people trust, including Nobama.
