Nearly 20 years on, its about "Right Time Railway", much of it remains the same, but on the privatised railway, more people have a role to play, and other companies become involved too!
I do like the footage in this program, with all the long gone and much missed Slammers in NSE livery, also with several old school railwaymen, many of whom have no probably long since retired! At 6:00 in the video, Tony is riding past my old primary school!
Also, the music has an 80s gameshow feel about it!!
TBH I didn't find the trains on Kent Coast twenty years ago any filthier - or indeed cleaner than they are now. I think my fellow passengers are still as messy as they've always been.
@Chafford1 40 year old much more reliable slam door stock. A worn out but reliable WCML, coaches no dirtier than today but threadbare. Services run to faster schedules, cheaper tickets. Far better services then!

Its impossible to run to time with bad diagramming, thats what us traincrew have to put up with.
