  • gary was on "student bodies"

  • Brad is hot.

  • Dave was my favourite :(

  • This was an awesome episode! I love how it was a take on Sleepy Hollow! I loved Tim Burton's version as well!

  • @LucyLovettLestrange Me too! Later this month, I'll be watching this, the old Disney cartoon, and the Burton movie to get a heapin' helpin' of the Headless Horseman in one day!

  • that ian guy has got some balls!

  • this along with the episode in the old movie theater where the vampire comes out of the screen, are my two favorite episodes. a few years ago i was looking all over for this episode and finally found it not to long ago. oh yea, also i liked tale of laughing in the dark with ZEEEBBBOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • outstanding series, the characters knew how to tell a story and make us imagine them!

  • @ksioamaral89 Hell yeah man, This was a very well done show. This was back in the day when you had to think of a good idea, TO make cash. Not just re make a movie or show, Totally butcher it and make a fat gross from it.

    Damn, I miss this show.

  • @BodomTranquilityWorm this episode brings me good memories.I was 10 and recall watching this on Nickelodeon,I guess, with my younger cousins. We were REALLY scared watching this episode.God how I miss those times, all the worry I had was to get home in time to watch the show!

  • Too bad Kristen was written out of the show. She was a hot piece of ass.

  • @DuracellEnergizer Ha ha, Yes she was. Yes she was.

  • Rachel Wilson (Katie) She was beautiful as a kid. Still beautiful today. In my opinion. Not too many can hold a candle to her. But maybe im just biased :D.. Even as Tamara in breaker high. I think she is damn sexy lol.

  • Damn, homie wants PUSSY!

  • 5:35 Canadian accent!

  • @Kay2be2M I do not hear any accent, But it may be because I am a Canadian myself.

  • @BodomTranquility it's the way she said I'm sorry, She pronounced it "sowry" instead of sawry"

  • @Kay2be2M Ha ha, Oh. I guess I didn't notice the subtle difference being Canadian myself.

  • @BodomTranquilityWorm If this is a Canadian show why do they all sound American? And do take-offs of American Ghost stories? Maybe Im confused. I dont know much about Canada.

  • @7009Rice I believe it was only filmed in Canada, the actors are American.

  • @annamcnarin Thx 4 the info.

  • @7009Rice I believe most of the Midnight Society was Canadian.

  • @Madizzle90 IDK, really.

  • @Madizzle90 actully you half right 1 was black 2 white and last was latineo

  • Brad is such an asshole. He's obviously a spoiled brat who's used to getting his way.

  • lol some things never change..a fight starts and EVERYBODY looks

  • And here I am ..watching Rerun's of AYAOTD ....again....miss 90's T.V.....

  • why are the main characters always unpopular losers?

  • Anyone know where to get that music @6:11 I wanna have a party and blast that stuff.

  • 8:41 in the background, looks like old skool shawn michaels haha

  • the girl who plays Katie was on breaker high

  • Now that I'm older, I realized that this is based on The Dead Poet Society. But with horror stories and not poems. Kinda neat.

  • It' so funny, the difference in meaning of pound then and pound now!

  • @funnyputa1 ha ha, Agreed.

  • If they were being realistic, then yes, Kristin got knocked up, but not by David who would be afraid to ever touch her. More likely some college drama major who played her like a fiddle with cheesy poetry lines.

David seemed more like the type to shoot up his school.

  • @Coleburg Agreed. He is the weasle type of guy

  • HOW. INCREDIBLY. AWKWARD.

  • Katie just broke up with Brad. Katie and Brad had a rocky relationship, so she broke it off. Brad keeps forgetting that he and Katie broke up.

  • 3:40....funny shit

  • I always had the biggest crush on Gary...he's so sexy in his bookish glasses ;)

  • he is going to let frank pound him in the ass

  • No wonder the guy got picked on.. GINGER ALERT!!!!

  • @StraightEdgeReviews But a hell of a hot ginger D: I bet he has a soul!! maybe...>.>

  • Frank always says "Wayull"

    HAHAHA

This was my #1 most favorite show of all time when I was a kid. I think I've watched every single episode. The ones with the original cast members are the best, the older ones aren't as good. I remember this episode coming on TV!! and "The bookish babysitter", and "The phone police", there was also one about a dollhouse!! i loved all of them =)

  • I whip my hair back n' forth! I whip my hair back n' forth!

  • rule number one about tv: never get rid of the cute blonde girl.

  • i love this damn show !

  • @MrDqdude Thanks so much !!!

  • I NEED some help here !!!

I'm translating it to Portuguese and I'd really like to know what Ian said at 6:51

    I understood " Hey, I love .......... old friends."

  • @carvalho141

    bumping into

  • @carvalho141 Hey! how are you? Ian says " Hey, I love bumping into old friends." Good luck with your translation :)

  • @carvalho141 <3 Portuguese is the prettiest language ever. European or Brazillian Portuguese?

  • love this remake of sleepy hollow i know what really happened to ichabod and how he got that pumpkin head

  • Katie's boyfriend sounds like he could be abusive when he says "I'll decide when we're not going out anymore," or something to that effect. She keeps saying it's over, and he wants to beat up any guy who gets near her. If I were Katie, I'd run far away!

  • This us to be so scary back then

  • I've never been to Sleepy Hollow New York before. The idea of a ghost riding on a horse with no head, now that's just supersition. It's not real. It's nothing but crap.

  • @altoon001

Are you sure about that? how would you know it's crap? There are things out there that we can't explain. Ichabod was a real person.

  • @johnnyfive22: So were the Van Tassels and Brom Bones. The schoolhouse, the graveyard, and the covered bridge ALL existed in reality, so for all we know, the Legend COULD be true, because indeed, there are some things this world cannot explain.

  • Wait why the hell do all their friends and younger siblings even know about this club? I thought the first rule of Midnight Society is that you don't talk about Midnight Society. I thought that they didn't travel in the same circles outside of the meetings.

Also the one kid missed an opportunity when the other kid pulled the table out from under him and he was hanging. He could have dropped made a double fist and swung it downwards into the jerks head, you might even break his neck that way.

  • @AmazingL4rry I'm not sure the Midnight Society operates by Fight Club-style rules. But even if so, I would expect Tucker would know about it, since as we later find out in "Silver Sight," the Society is kind of a tradition in his and Gary's family.

  • @mst3KGf FIRST RULE OF FIGHTCLUB? WE DON'T TALK ABOUT FIGHTCLUB.

  • my era

  • lol @ 6:33 HES RICK ROLLING!

  • Wow, Ian, don't come on so strong. You gonna freak the girl out!

  • Hmm, femme Rococo outfit, I like that. :)

  • If ONLY that's how things are settled with bullies. Proving who was braver over some stupid ghost stories. But in real life a bully will just get his gang and beat the crap out of you.

  • Brad sounds like the abusive type

  • The guy that got dumped is a fucking prick.

  • when the show started there were 7 members: kiki, betty ann, kristin, david, frank, eric, and gary. i know that kristin and david moved obviously but what happened to eric??

  • @spoiledbrat241b It was never explained. He was gone when the second season started without any reason given. (They never did that mistake again; later, when a Society member left, they moved away.) I presume Eric moved away, but who knows, maybe they got sick of his A-hole attitude and kicked him out. Or maybe they sacrificed him to the Storyteller Gods and buried his remains in the woods. The Midnight Society keeps its secrets well...

  • god these kids SUCK at dancing

  • @brandonferr1 its "tv dancing" moron, lol

u think they're gonna grind up on each other or somethin?

  • @mbenzsl2000: In the modern day, they would. Ex: MTV's Skins having High School kids getting knocked up (and Viacom--parent company of Nick--OWNS MTV).

  • dam bety ann is hot so was kristen she should have stayed that brad guy is funny he got down but he should have kickid his ass

  • how can i download this episode

  • The first episode with Tucker. I remember hating him. He was such a doofus.

  • So is this the first episode to ever feature Tucker? I don't remember Gary ever mentioning that he had a brother before... Or did the Midnight Society just already know that he had one?

  • boring so far.

  • Guys like that who can't accept the fact that it's over pisses me off lol. There such jerks too.

  • rofl his bro :)

  • when he was hanging there he should have just kicked him in the face, what a jerk.

  • oh wow he pulled the table from underneath him... a 2 ft drop oh no

  • And on a general note I would of just fought the pirate jerk. Seriously he deserves it. Fist to cuffs

  • @ therealRNO Sleepy hallow is my all time favorit gohst story. I belive it's real and I want to meet the headless horseman before I die.

    . A

  • @Momijilover24: Sleepy Hollow is my favorite classic ghost story too, but I wouldn't want to dare meet the headless Hessian on Halloween night, because the whole purpose of his riding out would be to take the heads of anyone he can find for himself.

  • @TherealRNO Brom Bones was the Headless Horseman. I guess he's the dude U wanna meet.

  • @7009Rice : Brom was only the Horseman in some tellings of the story. In this AYAotD dversion, in Burton's version, & in some other tellings, the Horseman was, in fact, a spectre.

  • @TherealRNO Im just telling U the true version.

  • @7009Rice: No. The Irving story left it open-ended for interpretation of whether it was a real spirit or just Brom in an outfit (though strong implications can be made for the latter), which is why there are versions that show the Horseman as an actual ghost & not just Brom in a hokey costume.

  • @TherealRNO Well, I'm just tellin ya what I blieve.

  • @7009Rice: I know. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @TherealRNO In the Disney version, the Horseman's almost certainly a real ghost, as well.

  • @Adamguy2003: Not really. That version left the door open for both possibilities.

  • @TherealRNO Most versions at least leave the door open, but I just watched the Disney version last night, and the Horseman definitely appeared to be a real ghost in that. In particular, one scene in which Ichabod briefly looks down the hole where the Horseman's head should be, and looks noticeably terrified of what he sees down there. If it was just Brom in a suit, I doubt he'd have seen anything that would have made him react like that.

  • 04:33 : Hello huge bulge !

  • Sleep Hollow is definitely not close enough to Canada to allow for that kind of accent... sorey ≠ sorry

  • OH MY GOD, THE HOTTEST ONE LEFT!!! D:

  • "ill say when we dont go out anymore" wow!! id be like fuck you, who do u think u are my dad?? fuck off.. buh byee

  • @meganplonka yes, but sadly many girls like guys like those

  • lol how come the younger brother has a New England Accent but the older one doesn't?

  • Because they are actors ....not blood brothers. And even if they were.... if the parents moved when the young one was born...he'd be growing up in that new area, taking on a different accent than what he brother had from the other State they originally were living..... just a fact.

  • The story's about two hundred years old.

  • 6:27 that guy is dressed and has the same hairstyle as Draco Malfoy imho.

  • "This better be good, or I'm gonna let Frank pound you."

    Hahaha.

  • @cutebanter man, frank is really tough, even for a black guy

  • how i'd wish my country celebrate Halloween

  • where are you from?

  • First Power Rangers, then Destiny's Child, and now AYAOTD....will kicking out members ever end?!?!

  • excuse me, this show stopped 10 years ago!

  • they didn't kick em out, they moved

  • @Ramal123 They moved idiot

  • @Ramal123: But AYAtD did it before anyone else.

  • Comment removed

  • lol at 6:38

  • look at that blonde guy rocking out when Ian walks in :)

  • :O it's a modern sleepy hollow...

  • Kristen and David's exits seem kind of suspicious. Two teenagers, a quasi-couple, suddenly leave town at the same time. I wonder if Kristen got knocked up.

  • your comment just made my life

  • @waterlilyqueen hahahhahahah....

  • @waterlilyqueen but then they explained that david's family had already move across town, on ep 25. but i agree that kristen's exit is suspicious.

  • @waterlilyqueen JAMIE LYNN SPEARS' PREGNANCY WAS HISTORY REAPEATING ITSELF.

  • @waterlilyqueen Brilliant analysis.

  • This was a great episode!

I've always been fascinated by the Headless Horseman.

  • In the original story, though, the headless horseman was just made up by Brom Bones.

  • @Sadakogirl: Actually, that's NOT true. Even the original tale had the questionable ending of whether or not the headless Hessian was just Brom in disguise or really was a spectre from the depths of Hell.

  • at the dance I kept expecting the Cobra Kai students to show up and lay a beating down.

  • The legend of Sleepy Hollow is supposedly based on real events that happened in what is now (Tarrytown) New York in the mid 1700's... That alone scares the shit out of me. It's also my ALL TIME favorite ghost story!!! :)

  • @integgy95: Supposedly? It is. The schoolhouse, covered bridge, and graveyard do exist. And in the graveyard would be the actual gravestones of the characters in the story--as they were based upon real people--and with that said, who is to say that on Halloween night, the headless demon doesn't ride out and do his dirty work by scaring ignorant travellers?

  • @TherealRNO you know what they should have had in Tale of the Midnight Ride they should have shown a clip of Icabod Cran being Chase by the headless Horseman and getting the Pumkin thrown at him that faithfull Hallaween Night

  • @makosharkman: But that's the twist. EVERYONE knows the Legend, so they changed it, so the cranium-challenged Hessian specter goes after the kids who alter his destiny.

  • @TherealRNO but just showing ichabod getting chase wouldn't give anything away.

  • @makosharkman: I know.

  • @TherealRNO tell me about it.

  • I miss David and Kristen. ):

  • Oh yeah! This one choking episode, it was one on my list of favorites of all time as a kid!!

  • They really put some thought into the names of the characters.

    Ian-Ichabod

    Katie-Katrina

    Brad-Brom

Props to the writers! This also introduced me to the legend believe it or not.

  • i didn´t realized that before

  • You idiot. It's either a demon or a ghost- not both! (In this case, it's a human spirit, so it's a ghost.)

  • hell53: Actually, in the world of comics, it is a demon spectre, because although the Hessian himself was alive before his head was lopped off in the Revolutionary War, his ghostly spirit was tapped into by an evil crone residing in Tarry Town. It was she and her fellow Dutch settler storytellers who first told the legend after the horseman had done away with Icabod.

  • Indeed, the popular story was penned by Irving, but the legend existed before that through Dutch settlers in the area. Regardless of it being a mere legend or not though, I wouldn't really know if I would feel safe if I had a house located anywhere near Tarry Town (Sleepy Hollow), let alone near the covered bridge or graveyard.

  • Okay, the 'world of comics' doesn't understand the concept of demons:

A ghost is a spirit of a dead human, like the Headless Horseman (in this case, a specter, since it acted like a recording); a demon is an inhuman spirit, specifically, it's an angel that fell from heaven after committing a sin. Human spirits, evil or good, are ghosts; only inhuman spirits can be demons.

  • hell3: The thing is...in those comics, the Horseman--though human in appearance, since he was originally a German Revoluntionary when he lost his head--is actually an inhuman ghost, because his spirit was said to have been raised up from its resting place by some of the residents of Sleepy Hollow, some of whom were themselves of questionable nature, meaning that they were old crones who practiced evil witchcraft and also kept the legend alive through their black magic.

  • Okay, now I'm getting frustrated.

Perhaps I'm not explaining myself clearly. Inhuman spirits are spirits who were never alive. These are angels, spirits made by God to act as his messengers, and demons, angels thrown into hell for committing a sin. And the Headless Horseman, though evil, is the spirit of a deceased human; he is not a fallen angel motivated by hatred of humans.

  • hell3: Oh. Thanks for clarifying. And sorry about the confusion and frustration.

  • It's all right. I have problems with that some times.

  • that is the more popular judeo/christian theory on demons/ghosts.

other cultures have differing opinions on the paranormal.

No one faith, or school of thought has or probably ever will come up with a definitive answer.
