The YMT are doing a production of this and adapting it into a musical. I'm auditioning. How far do you think ruining can really go when huge organisations are approving it?

I agree, but he was OK as Albert. On the other hand, I still think he sucks as Rincewind. Nigel Planer would have been perfect. And Vimes has to be Hugh Laurie!

In the novel I thought it was odd when Death suddenly changes his mind, although it does make sense when you read Soul Music.

nice. also like Death's costume. what I actually don't like is the bad sound quality. important with watching theatre-stuff, isn't it? ;-)

yeah... there's a comprimse you have to make when recording theatre... you either get really good sound from the stage mics, but NO audience reaction, or use a camera mic and get both.
I always go for both seeing as, as a director OR a performer in the piece, you never remember the reaction you get.

yesus, sound's not too good. passable though. I don't think Mort would be THAT timid though. The fight scene isn't exactly wakowski bros =P despite the carl orff. and what about the kick in the nuts? that meant something in the book. Coulda used some better costumes too... hah, but I'm being too harsh. it beats the hell outta the animated soul music. Here's hoping the hogfather movie won't be too bad...
