  • This is fantastic video. I have many cockatiels and hand reared ones too. They are amazing birds and wonderful pets. Now about this video....it's awesome BUT, PLEASE get rid of that "music" junk... the music is SHOCKING! Just ordinary bird noise would be better...

  • THEYRE EATING IT ALIVE!

  • Lol, at 2: 24 the other one is like ''Wtf are you doing?!''

  • aww i was hoping for baby cockatiels to be born with a mohawk

  • It must be great to be a Cockatiel.

  • 1:49 everybody movin around PARTA PARTA!

  • At like :57 I was like," I don't wanna watch this" But I just couldn't stop

  • that is tiny!

  • from my perspective that egg looks as small as a thumb

  • Beautiful vid, beautiful birds <3

Anyone know the name of the song?

  • beautiful :D

  • @ka8ykk When does the cockatiel egg hatch?

  • that was interesting :D thanks for sharing the video with us

  • I was always so excited when one of my baby cockatiels would hatch and end up with white fuzz. I'm a sucker for white faced cockatiels :)

  • I love this video!. How are your birds doing?

  • This is really moving -- thanks for sharing it. I had a pair of cockatiels who produced quite a few chicks. They were great parents. They needed a separate nest box to encourage them to breed, otherwise they probably would just have kept laying eggs and not sitting on them.

  • I can hear the newborn talking to the one eating... "DUDE! Stop hitting me in the head already!" *moves*

  • awww! mann my cokatiels keeps haveing eggs but they NEVER hatch so far!

  • THE PARENTS ARE SO CUTE!

  • they look like worms slowly burning in the sun when there born. lol

  • Awww!!! Daddy has his wing wrapped around the eggs!!

It kinda looks like their trying to eat the babies...

  • @GirtheAlienGoldfish They eat the eggs, the skin is too thin and the egg shells can harm them, the eating or some cases "Grinding" of the shell protects the hatchlings.

  • @GirtheAlienGoldfish

Actually from what I understand this is a very common occurance, if the parents see the chick struggling to get out of the egg, theyll help them break it.

  • men arent all evil some of them are very nice and it does offend me @happygilmour888

  • boy tails sing females just do plain calls, femals tend to have different color feathers on thier tails, males have a single color on thier tails.

  • AWW THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL

  • is the baby dancing?

  • @WhutTheMickyMouse1 HAHAHAHA XD

  • its amazing to see a little life to the big bad world

  • awwee they are soo cute!! =D I have 2 cockatiels and they were supposed to breed. I spent $115.00 on a "breeding pair" and they wont even go into the nesting box. If they dont go into the nesting box in a couple more months I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! :@

    cute birds tho :P

  • I know, I know, they are helping him hatch, but to the untrained eye they look like cannibals.

  • looks like abuse lol

  • how many eggs did she lay

  • awwwwww, that is sooooooo cute :D

  • are the fathers always supposed to help out? Unfortunately, the dad died a couple days ago; he let behind the mother with 2 eggs :\

  • thats so cute :) thums up

  • lazy baby

  • you're so awesome! haha, didn't know they hatch blind, looks a bit creepy but nonetheless, touching!

  • aww I miss my love birds..

  • nice my male cockatiel a white faced one named perry is staring at the babies!!!!i wonder why?!?!

  • OMG this is one of the cutest videos I have EVER seen!!! <------------wouldn't let me do all caps but this is 2 cute!

  • my cockatiels just hatched

  • It's not eating the baby, it is clearly eating the egg out from around the baby. Although they do seem to be a little rough, but I think that is because it's in fast forward.

  • What a nice daddy!!!

  • happygilmour888,none taken

  • he eating it

  • Why do newborn babies always have big swollen black eyes?

  • @sweetbutdaring i think that in birds, like humans, their eyes don't grow during their life. their eyes will remain that size even when their adults

  • 1:42 That other one is going grazy xD

  • What a lovely film. It's funny though as baby cockatiels are quite ugly yet when they get older, they grow into such beautiful birds. I love mine to pieces like.

  • i bought a friend to my bird.. i thought it was a boy but then they made a nest : D so i bought them a proper nest and now im waiting to have some babies <3 they laid 3 eggs now

  • It looked like that dad was attacking the baby! O.o

  • lol thats funny my sisters bird laid an egg with out breeding and then layed like 3 more and i was like dat bitch was stopped up lol

  • Big Hatchling: "Feed me! I hungry!!!!!"

New Hatchling: Daddy get me out of this egg!

  • how long does it takes for those baby (looks like this) for them to look "normal" :P

  • i know how long it takes like month

  • hay man this is really helping me out with my pet cokiteil i thanck you for putting this video on

  • I'm going to breed my cockatiels soon! This video really helped. Thanks!

  • ah, that takes me back ^^ I got the chance to see that in person and raised four cockatiels

  • whoah akward o_o so this is how my bird looked like when he/she (i believe she idk xD) was born...fascinating ^^

  • GET OUTTA THE FUCKING EGG!!!

  • @Ragingbarbarion5 it needs some time idiot

  • Do cockatiels that can talk (say things like 'hello!') talk to their babies?

  • some times if your looking to train them words just teach one and it will teach the others

  • @Maromi13 Cockatiels, like all animals, have their own language to communicate with each-other. It has nothing to do with whether or not they have the capability to say human words. So yeah, they do talk to their young. And also, when birds can say human words, they are really just repeating words their hear. But you have to say it over and over again before they start repeating it. They don't actually "talk" like can have a conversation, just repeat.

  • I remember that for the longest time, we couldnt tell if our cokatiel was a boy or girl. Then one day she laid an egg, and we were like "well that settles it!"

  • @SalasSnake the male cockatiels usually have darker rosy red cheeks than than the females.

  • @Stickfigures1098 don't know that much about cockatiel genders do you? some can't be sexed visually. mutations such as the common grey, the pearl and some pied. can be sexed visually. male grey has yellow head while female has slight yellow but mostly grey/brown. pearls lose pearl pattern if male. with pied you can check for spots under wings and stripes on tail.

mutations like albino + lutino have no distinct markings so should watch for behaviour or have DNA sexed.

    only males do heart wings

  • @SalasSnake same thing here lol

  • @SalasSnake did the egg hatch?

  • @2r7jds No. She is the only cockatiel we have.

  • @SalasSnake lol

  • @SalasSnake you can also tell by the colors of a cockatiel if the cockatiel has a plain looking yellow face with orange cheeks and no spots its a girl otherwise its a boy :]

  • @mszhaircare101

Actually patterns and spots indicates its a female but males can also have them but not as much and in the same places a female would and the males are usually the yellow face orange cheeked Grey or white bodied birds. females are usually spotter/striped or one solid pattern but once again a female may also have orange cheeks and a yellow face but usually only for a period of time.

  • @ItalianBoy749 im sorry but i actualy ment to say its a boy not its a girl so thanks alot O.e

  • @SalasSnake How do you know you don't have a uniquely talented male bird? :D

  • @JenJW haha

  • coooooool i have a cociteil that lays eggs all the time but she dosent have a guy bird

  • soooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow.. So cute!

  • wow! perfect timing!

  • what exactly is she feeding them? Is she regurgitating cocketiel food that she ate earlier?

  • yup thats wat they do, i just got a baby, feeding it formula out of syringe :)

  • CHOMP

the moma bird eats it XD

  • Wow Cool!!

  • Years ago we had a female cockatiel and she had no mate yet she laid about 30-40 eggs in her lifetime. She was alone with no male and she laid about 3-4 eggs per year till she died.

  • that what my female bird did but she some times just sait on it. she knew it was not going to hatch. she died to 12/2/08

  • adorable. what a cute widdle cockatiel

  • This is so sweet...I remember when mom use to vomit in my mouth.

  • LOL! My mom didn't love me I guess :(

  • Nature is truely amazing. ^^

  • Wow what a beautiful video :)

  • its so cool! i just hate how i think the birds are being violent but they arnt. it confuses me lol

  • so cuuutttteeee

  • Wow , sweet of the dad to help out , when my cat had a kitten , the dad attacked the little kitten.

Men are evil . ( no offense)

  • lol. agreed.

  • male cats only attack the kittens of other tomcats. Female cats can be empregnated by multiple males.

    Women are tramps. (no offense)

  • Alright, then i dont understand, why would my male cat attack the females kitten, he was the father, there two indoor cats, never been outside,

  • Well then, I don't understand either. Indoor cats and all.

  • @happygilmour888 did the kitten die?

  • @happygilmour888

Only women who ignore all the nice guys all around them that they want to stay "just friends" with think that men are evil, because they always date the jerks

  • @Flare1728 Woah...having a little problem with the women?

  • @Flare1728 Too true >_>

  • @happygilmour888 maybe men are always mean to you because you're a bitch...

not many logical people would have a few bad experiences and be like "men are evil"

my car got stolen by a black guy one time (I know hes black because they caught him) should I be racist now?

  • @happygilmour888

lol, i have puppies and the dad is biting them and all you hear is screeches

  • @happygilmour888 What a terrible thing to say, shame on you. That's about as enlightened as someone saying all blacks or Arabs are evil, there's no basis and it's a very strong reflection on your own personal scars in life. I'm not sure how anyone could not take offense to such an ignorant statement.

  • @happygilmour888 How ignorant. Individuals are evil be it from personal choice or some trauma. Gender plays no role but they both are just as equally capable of being evil and are.

  • @happygilmour888 It's not that men are evil - it's a genetic trait that even humans have. Human males tend to refuse to look after other men's children. Why? Because all animals are keyed to continue their genetic line. If a man looks after someone else's children, it doesn't benefit his genes being passed on in any way.

  • Oh my god thats incredible

  • Awesome video. What is the name of the song?

  • yo he tenido ninfas 3 veces y es una maravilla cuando nacen

  • Pretty cool! They are ugly as babies tho!

  • Amazing, awesome video.

  • Truly Amazing!!!

  • i have a cockatiel like that

  • Bright light not good for newly hatched birds!

  • i would be afraid to leave the dad at the same cage with the babies...they are sooo cute thought!!! i love them! :)))
