Thank you for posting this, blockster911. I was actually deployed with SFC Howard in 06 as part of her reconstruction team in Afghanistan. I found your video quite by accident. I just joined the PGR myself in my home state and was searching to see if the PGR had attended her funeral. This video was exactly the encouragement I was looking for. Thank you again on behalf of PRT Mehtar Lam, and I'm sure on behalf of her. She was one of the best soldiers I've ever had the privilege of serving with.
Thank you for posting this. I am also a new PGR member in Washington State. I attended my first mission 9/22/09 and as you said, it is just an amazing honor to be a part of this group.
Hello fellow PGR, went on my first mission 3/10/09 after signing up the previous day. Hope you don't mind if i add your PGR video to my web site I am designing now...let me know. Stay strong and stay safe brother.
I may not understand the American Patriotism, but your service to the families is priceless, and that's the most important thing. May your ride be always safe!
I've been a memebr for almost four years. I go to every mission I can get to but I have to say, I'm pleased at the fact, I've never had to experience protestors at any of the missions I've been to. I have heard they tried a few times but local residents kind of put a stop to that by showing up with shotguns int heir trucks. Needless to say, the protestors ran scared. Keep up the great work in your area.
An amazing video and all of you have my utmost respect for what you do. Side note always been curious but never knew for sure. The 21 gun I assume are blanks right?
If these mothers had an OUNCE of natural affection for their own child they would never have allowed their child to enlist as a human sacrifice. Not a WHIT different than the islamic hag strapping a bomb on her kid.
Only a cold blooded reptile would let her kid enlist...My CAT protects its kits and these crocodiles are looking foward to spending that military life insurance check they get in exchange for the corpse.
Shushan6, and I suppose freedom is FREE? If I had a kid, if I had a WOMB, I imagine he'd be man enough to enlist. You are a coldblooded reptile if you support Shirley Phelps-Roper and her campaign of hatred. And keep away from that insurance company gekko as well, I heard he came out!
thanks so much for posting this video. Like many of the Patriot Guard, I'm also a veteran, and have lost friends to combat. Nothing pulls on the heartstrings like a military funeral. I'm preparing for my first ride tomorrow, and your video definitely helped put my mind where it needs to be. Thank you again, and ride safe!
Nice job Blockster. I am a PGR member also, and just returned from a mission. I am a Vietnam vet, and joined to insure that today's soldiers are treated with the respect my generation didn't get.
Thank you jetjock. I've been away from YouTube for a while, and I just read your comment. One reason I came back to look at my video again is that I have another PGR mission this afternoon. Best of good fortune to you.
Thank you very much and thank you the Patriot Guard for being there and dedicating your time, you guys and women have a big heart like so many people. I sure wish these protester would understand the big heart our American soldiers have. It's ashame, but thank you for your time. Semper Paratus
Blockster911, Thanks for your support. I am an Iraq vet and I know how much civilians support the military, and us vets are all fully aware of those that don't support us. Thanks for all you do.
that brought tears to my eyes...God Bless the fallen soldiers family and God Bless America and all who are loyal to their country in one shape or another. This hit close to home for me...I have family currently serving for my freedom in Iraq like so many others are. Thank You to all of you who serve and have served.
I've been looking for an update on this, since first getting the bulletin from VK and then watching Jenny's video. I'm very happy to hear that there were no protests, and I'm also glad to know that such an organization as the Patriot Guard Riders exist. Thanks, Don.
I'm tearing up watching this Don. Thannk you for sharing. I was praying for everyone involved here on this side of the country. Bless you for this service, Don.
I'm glad to hear that there weren't any protests. You do a great service to the families and the country as a whole. From this side of the Atlantic I salute you, good sir. God bless.
I would like to clarify that Merideth died in September, and was given a funeral service at that time. This ceremony was the smaller, lower profile ash scattering service.
