if you have osteoporosis you should take vitamin K-1 and K-2 and lift light weights 3xtimes a week ...eat cabage , brococoli , swiss chard , kale , Dandelion Greens , Arugula,,,,, ,and take silica and buy mineral imported from Germany called GEROLSTEINER .....Containing 348 mg of calcium and 108 mg of magnesium a liter of Gerolsteiner mineral water and provides a third of the recommended daily amount of both minerals ! ps. no dary products and cut down on animal protein !!
Hi Dr. Lani. A few months ago it occurred to me that jumping in place should help my bones. I did it for a couple of days...then I noticed a flashing in my right eye and a lot of floaters. The eye doc diagnosed me with a vitreous detachment! He asked if I had picked up anything heavy, etc. and I told him the only thing I did differently was JUMP for exercise. He said that could've caused it! So I advise anyone to be careful not to jump too vigorously.
@gentleradical Thank you for your post! Meds also can predispose one to this condition as well as being older. Your post just reminds all of us to start slowly, especially if we are not used to strenuous activities. Also, read more about vitreous detachment on the WrongDiagnosis site.
I love to jump but I also love to walk.
I use a vest with weights in it to get strong while walking.
I wear it shopping and even to work . It is sleek so I put it under my jacket.
it is the vest recommended on Vivian Golds site and it has reversed my bone loss and osteopenia . see NYKNYC osteoporosis vest.
