  • rivendell bicycles are tops!

  • one of the great American bicycle company's that are unique

in their approach to two wheeled transportation

  • excellent

  • Rivendell is one excellent company to do business with

  • i'm several years late to know you guys. my current bike will last at least 5 years from now, please keep the business goin, and dont discontinue hunqa......

    godspeed

  • but your Rockhopper is not as fast!

  • i like where this is going on different levels

  • once you get your hands on a bike designed

    by Grant

your part of a family of cyclists

    that share something

    special

  • Rivendell`s cycling philosophy reminds me why I enjoy riding my bike so much; it makes me feel free, I forget my troubles and I enjoy the simplest things in life. What a wonderful invention the bicycle is.

  • 76 cm, or roughly 30"

  • @Tofukoira Give us a call. 800.345.3918

  • What frame size would you recommend for a 5' 7" rider?

  • @Tofukoira Either a 51 or a 54. Whats your P.B.H.? 800.345.3918

  • Wonderful - it looks like you're riding through the Shire...just need some round doors in those hillsides...

  • What kind of tires are you using on the Hunq in this video? The grey strip along the sidewall makes me think it's one of the Marathons...maybe the Marathon plus?

  • Why aren't you old hipsters-in-denial ever wearing helmets?

Nice bike though-Walt Whitman would have been proud.

  • @matthewpurpura - because it's a steel bike - it doesn't self destruct. If you ride a carbon frame, then you should definitely wear a helmet. That's just common sense.

  • @matthewpurpura the helmet is simply not tradition. helmets are a grain of sand in the the beach of the bicycle time line.

  • Looks like Briones!

  • I love this bike and the video but I can't help but think to myself: "Wait a minute, my 1997 Rockhopper can do all of this just as well, if not better. So why drop $3000 on a bike I don't need?"

  • @benshih1

You are missing the whole point of the video - just enjoy the scenery! If you don't need the bike, don't buy it.

  • Great video, I loved it. I am very sold on the Hunqapillar.

What saddlebag is that and does it have a rack that it sits on?

  • @RJMerr1

Thanks! It's a Sackville Saddlesack Medium. It's sitting on the Silver Hupe that is tensioned with 2 Irish straps that wrap around a bolt on the mid-stay braze-on on the seat-stays.

  • Where is this shot? Gorgeous!

  • I want to check that trail out! Where is it?

  • @robhuang1 - Shell Ridge Open Space, right next to Diablo

  • I hate snow when I see trails like this!Nice bike

  • nice trail, who needs suspension

  • kick ass!

  • Love it! I'll play it again, and again. Very well done!

  • It's been 10 years, but I can still recognize those trails. Good dirt!

  • Very nicely done, in my next life I'm gonna be a mountain biker.

  • I love both Rivendell and Bonnie Prince Billy. Moment of Zen.

  • excellent video, Jay.

  • @ElDuke, no matter how hard you try, or which bike you ride, Chicagoland will never look like this. :-)

...which is to say you should join us in California.

  • Dangit. Now I'm sold. Gotta get one.

  • Dangit. Now I'm sold. Gotta get one.

  • Love it! Let's go riding! Is that California or the Shire?

Great music as well - who is the artist?

  • Very nice video. One of the best bicycle ads I've ever seen. Well done!

  • Best on yet

  • Really well done Jay. Loved the leg tap music synch.

  • Jay, great solo-vid!
