  • the braves are my favorite baseball team but even i almost choke up watching this

  • This win was more exciting to me than the actual World Series....unreal!!!

  • Different game, different country and different continent but this so reminds me of watching Chelsea wrap up their first league title in 50 years in a pub close to the ground, great day, looks like yours was the same, nice one.

  • Dam, i STILL get tears in my eyes wachn this. This was without a doubt one of the happiest days in sox nation

  • Owww...That's gotta hurt the bronx.

  • i loved this i still get chills...LONG LIVE THE NATION

  • one of those moments that you'll know where you were and with whom. awesome!!!!

  • Five years ago tonight. And still so sweet.

  • best moment of my life.

  • this is the best video on youtube, hands down,

  • Schoenfield sent me.

  • thats what u call red sox pride

  • This video is amazing...

  • Best MLB comeback in HISTORY

  • biggest choke in all of sports history, by the biggest payroll

    HUBRIS baby

  • why cant the cubbies ever have a moment like this?

  • As a Red Sox fan I'd be happy for the Cubs if it ever happens to them. I just don't want it to happen under Piniella. After Piniella ever leaves the Cubs, sure.

  • ya as a cub fan, iwas =happy for the sox but i would like the cubs to win before i die im 16

  • i know seriously thats what i thought why cant we make it and win it at wrigeley would be the best but idc just win

  • gets me everytime

  • im a huge met fan n i hate the yankees

i remember i wuz actually laughin 4 like 20 straight minutes aftr the yanks blew the 3-0 series lead

  • after that and after the world series i was hugging people i didn't even know and kissing girls i didn't know. They were hot girls too!!!

  • What a gr8 moment for you guys..... very happy for Boston fans .... greatest comeback EVER in baseball history ....

  • redsox nation baby...wish i was at that bar lol

  • Will remember this moment for the rest of my life! God bless you boys! Down with the evil empire! Redsox forever! You cant take this from us!

  • STILL get tears in my eyes.

  • Me too

    Go SOX!

  • good job stamping your face on history

  • I wouldn't know off the top of my head how I'd rank the happiest nights of my life, but this would definitely be in the top 3.

My favorite chant after that series: "Who's your caddie?"

  • That was a good chant. I also liked "Who's your dealer?" when Giambi was up. I keep waiting for the Classy Yankees to offer back their '03 Pennant, seeing as Giambi hit 2 HR in game 7 while he was (by admission) on steroids. Ugh.

  • No doubt one of the best days of my life. I love watching this vid!

  • no doubt about it.. i will never ever forget that night

  • one of the greatest and funnest days of my life

  • how sweet it is

  • One of my all-time favorite YouTube videos. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Makes me smile almost everyday. Wish I was there.

  • pandemonium is the perfect word for this. no other fans in baseball would ever go this apeshit for so long

  • gives me chills. Best night of my entire night, the ALCS was 100x better than the world series.

  • Just got back from game 7 at the Cask 'n Flagon against the Rays. Not the same party as this. We took them 7 after a great game 5 comeback for the ages...just wasn't meant to be this year...GO SOX!!!

  • i want to see footage at this bar when they won the world series!

  • Oh how sweet that day was..- I was at a party where about 75 percent of the people there were yankee fans.. and it looked like they were gonna cry.

  • sweet

  • DAMN this gives me chills.. GO SOX!

  • "THIS IS WHERE... THE YANKEES LOSE!"

    yea baby!

  • i will never forget that day in my life.

  • I like the Patriots jersey you have on :]

  • sad :(

  • goosebumps. i was at college in new jersey when they won the series, i cannot tell you how amazing it was to celebrate in the heart of yankees country. nothing in sports will ever come close to this postseason. Ever.

  • holy shit large crowd

  • Yup. This was the most painful postseason series of my life, bar none. 2007 was also a bad year, but it couldn't hold a candle to this. After all, the Yankees had no say in how far the Red Sox got last year.

As for 2004, I think it's made me a better fan, and better person for living through it. I watched this collapse happen before my very eyes. I vividly remember where I was and what I said right afterward.

A disaster like this helps build character and toughness in the long run.

  • you think you went through a disaster?

  • hi...i'm the idiot that taped this video on my digital cam. i cant tell you how difficult it was to not be jumping around like everyone else during that final out...but i was determined to capture this moment as clearly as possible (i had to start jumpin around and huggin anyone that was near me later in the video).

to everyone that put up with so many yrs without a title..enjoy.

  • wow, that put a tear in my eye...

  • Yankee fans cant talk about 2000 because thats

the past, but you guys can gloat about

2004, which was almost 4 years ago.

  • You're right ... we should be gloating about 2007. When we also won the World Series.

  • ouch....coooollllddd bloodddeeedddd

  • @solidandrew Nice....

  • It's a beautiful thing.

  • Bro, thanks for putting this online. This was the culmination of what it was all about to be a Sox fan. Celebrating with some friends enjoying the beatdown of the Yankees. It doesn't get much better than that. Best night of my life. T

  • wow great game,i remeber crying when they won the world series in 2007 because i was soooooo emotional.they won on october 28,2007,the day before my 14th birthday.

  • my favourite youtube video

  • yea i agree i am a #1 met fan and a #2 red sox fan how can you like the mets and the yanks

  • my fave team is the sox and my second is anyone who beats the yanks,,, :)

real sox fan,, not one of the bandwagon assholes,,, my fave player as a kid was tony pena, who now coaches for the yanks

  • any1 who beats the yanks? lol u like a lot of teams, 'cuase any1 cann beat THEM. just give a-rod a 230 million dollar contract and he'll die of shock at such a low price. jeter will commit suicide to be w/ him 4ever lol

  • My favorite team is simply the Evil Empire's opponent on a given day, period. BTW, I grew up about 20 miles from the Death Star, i.e., The House That $63 Watered-Down "Beers" Built. In a perfect world the Yanks, Patriots, Lakers and Flyers would go winless for 1000 years.

  • wtcvidman, how can u be a met fan yet still like the yankees? just not natural, i am a Met Fan #1, Red Sox Fan #2(meaning i hate the yankees).

  • i TAPED this game should i put the last out on youtube

  • please do. I would love to be able to see it whenever I want.

  • i hope johnny damon feals like an idiot for leaving the sox

  • I would have done anything to be in Boston on that night.

  • tell me about it, i was in iraq at the time

  • best day of my life

  • ...and beantown is going CRRRRRRAAAAAAAAZZZYYY!!!!!!! :)

  • the yankees may be the best team in history, but who gives a damn! right now, the red sox won the division, and were tied for the best record. all yankee fans have to stop living in the past! right now the yankees suck.

  • WOW - you would have thought they won the World Series. But seeing as how the Yankees beat up the Sox for years, I don't blame Sox fans for living it up when they got their sweet revenge! GO CARDS IN '08!! Yankees and Cubs SUCK!!!

  • Cards and Sox in '08 World Series re-match of '04...lets make it a game 7 this time though. Go Sox =)

  • id like to see the sox and whoever canmake it a decent game to watch,,, colorado was pathetic, you have such great series in the ALCS,, then you get to the world series and its no contest

  • Because AL >>>>>>> NL

  • im an oakland a's fan till i die, but i was extremely happy to see the red sox finally overcome the yankees..the fact that they did it in such dramatic fashion made it even better...i just want to know if there were any yankee fans at the bar, cuz if there were that must have sucked..haha

  • if there were any, i'm sure they left in the 2nd inning...after damon's grand slam.

  • This was almost better than Boston winning the World Series.

    God, I hate the Yankees.

  • awsome video. i remeber this like it was yesterday. my block went fucking crazy that night. go sox fuck the yankees.

  • i was down the street a jillians that night. what a fuckin party. until the cops had to show everybody how big thier cocks were that is.

  • as a mets fan i couldntve been happier this happened to the yankees and a-rods face on the tv priceless

  • Agreed.

  • Best Moment is Sports History. 2004 Red Sox best team of all time.

  • it was an amazing comeback and probably the best comeback ever in baseball but lets not get ahead of ourselves call them the best team ever...

  • Not even close. I hate the yankees but you have to admit they are the most successful team in all of sports

  • '04 Sox were an excellent team, but, yeah, probably not the best team of all time.

Just for the sake of arguing, I'll say the Boston Celtics are the most successful team in all of sports. When they won their last title (2000), Yankees had won 27% of all World Series in history - as of today, about 25%. In 1986, when the Celtics won their last title, they had won 40% of all NBA championships - as of today, still about 27%. I'm sure there's more to consider, but I just don't like the Yankees.

  • Real Madrid, AC Milan and Liverpool might have something to say for themselves...

  • dude thats fukin sweet i like the mets but i was rootin 4 the upset thanks for owning the yanks go mets

  • I SO HAVE TO SEND THIS TO MY FRIENDS! (go Mets)

their yanks hahahahahahahahahah thanks for making the yanks cry sox :D

  • best game ever! GO SOX!

  • i am a met fan but I LOVED watching the yankees choke like this!

  • holy crap. i love it

  • Nice video man!! GO RED SOX!!

  • wow seriously gave me the chills <3

  • i love this vid

  • Im a huge Yankees fan, however baseball is for moments like these. I tip my hat to Boston for their awesome pennant run. But I still hate em! =)

  • Forget Baseball.

    Sports in General.

I'm not even a Baseball fan, but this moment is Inspiring.

  • I'm a Mets fan #1, a Yankee fan #2 (meaning I hate the Red Sox), and as much as I like the Yanks, I gotta say that they did it to themselves. To be up 3-0 & lose 4 games in a row. And they killed em in Game 3. I'm glad A-Rod is gone. Good riddance. I'm not happy about Torre leaving though.

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeet go sox

i have all of the games on dvd

  • That was one of the best nights of my life.

  • For the underdog, that was one of the best moments in sports history.

  • I'm just a baseball fan and I really enjoy moments like those.

  • I was at that game and I saw one yankee fan crying after his team lost the pennant.

  • that was the greatest feeling i have ever felt. i remember watching my brother who is yankee fan sitting down with his fucking mouth shut as i celebrated. GO SOX BABY!!

  • i am a yankee fan but wow thats awesome

  • I'm neither a sox fan nor a yankees fan, but I was at game 7. It was pretty damn cool.

  • best day eva

  • I still can't believe this happened. . . I'm getting choked up just thinking about it. Wow. One of the few times where a sports moment transcends the whole "it's just a game" notion. It will forever be a part of Boston, New England, and RSN's cultural identity. Even if (ahem, WHEN) the Sawx do it again, you will NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER see something like this again. . . Be thankful you were alive at this unique moment in history. I know I am every single day. . .

  • I love sports, and this is one of the reasons why. I just hope a Seattle team wins a championship before I die. :(

  • i was there!!!

  • Yankee fan here. Ohh the pain I felt that night. Kudos to the Sox though on that tremendous comeback.

  • Wow...a respectful yankees fan. I haven't come across many of you guys. Thanks for showin some class.

  • I didn't know whether to laugh or cry--so I did both. Best sports moment ever for me.

  • The Best Moment Ever.

  • One way to descibe the 2004 ALCS is as Al Michaels once said "Do you believe in miracles?"

  • Thats gotta be Riveria Cafe in NYC. It's thee Red Sox's bar in Manhattan. I was down the street at a different place and everybody congregated out front of it after the game was over.

  • Yeah a couple of my friends were in NYC for that ... the Riviera is a great place. This video was shot in Boston though, right across the street from Fenway.

  • that was at the cask 'n' flagon right across from the fens

  • im a red sox fan this brought tears ot me eyes hahah!!

  • I'm not even from Boston and seeing all you guys go nuts and what it meant to you guys, makes me very happy for you all..

  • That night was insane

  • Yeah....well if the Yankees didnt win the first three games, then...you know...you wouldnt won the ...like ...last four....(fuck me.)

THESE WORDS SPOKEN BY A YANKEES FAN

  • nice
