I pointed this out to a group of people the other day at break. In the late 60's, working for min wage, I could afford a studio apt by myself. Today, there is no way. I had a car and lots of party money as well. Today, my grown daughter, an ex at a mid size co. has to have a roommate at 35 yrs old. Her car just died and now she has to save cash to by a clunker because she is so in debt from school loans.
