I have used the same products on my virgin black hair, it turned out yellow/orang :( I guess that bleaching is the only option. Thanks 4 sharing though!

Unless the product you're using is penetrating the hair, it doesn't matter if you dye over it. I've always just dyed my hair over hair spray or wax and it works just fine. And the point of leaving your hair dirty for a few days is just to build up natural oil to protect your scalp but it's not necessary. Either way the dye will come out fine.

Goldwell is not american but it is available in north america to professionals only. Sally beauty supply sells to the public and is not for professional grade colors. But you can find Goldwell color on amazon.
