  • man this takes me back. big big tune.

  • that was a powerful video that was missed by the 80%

  • eeeeerrrrrriiiiiiiiigggggggghhhhhhhtttttttt.......

  • R.I.P poetic

  • No comment maan! No fucking comment, what can I say?

The 12 dislikes still wish there were slave ships,

firm grips on whips, cutting strips into those with thick lips!

  • Remember these days? RIP Poetic aka Grym Reaper.

  • @POPEDimplez Islam isn't the Arabs' religion, it's mankind's religion. Arabs are men, thus they fall into vices such as slavery etc. Arabs do not incarnate the muslim religion. Islam calls for peace, respect between different ethnic groups. Thus any man can call himself a muslim if he believes in one God and his Messenger. Anyway, Word up Gravediggaz, peace to my brothers

  • @Finalize777 You are right in that some situations this did occur but during the Byzantine empire the Arabs probably did more slave trading then all of the Eurpoeans combined (that's why I cannot understand why anyone of African descent would want to be called a Muslim). And in fact slave trading went on up until the 1960's with the Arabs. My point is slavery occurs within all people when the stronger one seek to oppress those who are weaker. All races have been subjugated to slavery...

  • was 1498 first ship or boat to take african (slevery)to america in Angola Soyo

  • One of 4th Disciples greatest beats.

  • one of the best videos ever...rza's verse AMAZING man i miss rap....wu and gravedigg 4eva 1luv i'm from cali

  • one of the best videos ever...ra's verse AMAZING man i miss rap....wu and gravedigg 4eva 1luv i'm from cali

  • tv seek to glorify that shit they put on bet and mtv when rappers express themselves on this level on this level right here nigga on this level the will not show it or glorify the intelligents of the tru M.C. thats why a lot of rappers dont waste money on videos no more and that hurts the vision that rappers like the rza have some rappers have a vision other than money bitches and cars and weed and i end this wit wu tang FOREVER PEACE

  • This message in this song is powerful

  • racism was CREATED by man<<<<<

  • Remember when RZA was Prince Rakim

  • R.Z.A

  • Fuck them honkies

  • Fuck them honkies

  • All white given degrees at white created schools throughout the world on history are so tainted, that it doesn't make them a creditable source for truth. They're going to clean up they're history so they can play the role of "victim" to try and relate to the blacks they victimized.

And Blacks had Indentured servants, but guess what, they didn't lynched them, hang them, dragged them, rip out pregnant women babies, destroyed their past, erased their culture, hated their color...I can go on!

  • @Wardfolio That was just the USA and not all Americans ofcourse, what do you think, the Unionists fought a bloody civil war for the freedom of slaves so that their children may live in freedom like they can now. So far for the American whites. Now, i'm Dutch (so I guess that labels me as ''white'') but I'm fully against racism, and fully against any form of discrimination.. Please, don't have prejudice, many people have their heart at the right place!

  • @gaastra12 there wasn't anything in my comment you're responding to makes me a racist. it was truth. And saying you're a white person of today and "not racist" isn't justifiable to the harsh realities of the past, fact is, its not popular to be a white racist now. But back then it was, and most of the SMALL few whites that weren't racist were too scared to speak up, and end up joining the club do to peer pressure.

  • @Wardfolio It's also hard for me to talk about the small few whites back then if I weren't part of them if you catch my drift. Times were completely different then ofcourse so it's hard for me to realize how the pressure was to be a part of the big group instead of speaking up for yourself.. So really, I said already, I give my humble respect, and sorrow and understanding, towards the victims of the crimes against the black people back then, now, and in the future and also are against it, but -

  • @gaastra12 Plus the civil was NOT ultimately about slavery. Because even those whites still didn't like Black people. I don't remember Blacks being FREE until about the the 1960's-70's. There is an helluva lot more to slavery than chains.

  • @Wardfolio As I said, i'm perhaps ''white'' (I don't like labelling like that though, like oh he's black and he's white and he's yellow etc) but ofcourse, the crimes of the past in the USA are cruel but what do you expect from other white communities throughout the world to do really other than demanding their understanding which in this case I do atleast, and also fight that wrong, which is racists, which I told you I am against. Honest friend, I have nothing against anyone at all, really

  • @Wardfolio But again, in hard times like these now, I think this should be in the past you see, like else it would stay a subject for eternity and would kept getting tracked back with big debate about it. But that shouldn't mean things shouldn't be straight and outlined ya know, like, things should be over completely with all right and understanding towards the crimes against (to say it crude) black people.. But you see, what can I do with accuses against ''white'' people like me, now?

  • @gaastra12 I agree! And i dont have any personal venedtta against you (you sound like a pretty level headed person). I wish things like racism stay in the past, BUT it remains as long as the history books that are teaching kids in school continue to cover up the truth. Plus all the movies about history continue to showcase how great white history was. Its propaganda. In actuality, the ones in charge keep racism alive. They know that telling lies will create an opposing force in blacks ...

  • @gaastra12 ... and other races so we all can continue to have conflict over the issue. It keeps countrymen unaware of their leaders.

  • @Wardfolio Also i'm a great fan of the Wu and other (oldskool) hiphop, but heavily dislikes the mainstream RnB pop labelled as hiphop of post-2000.. Also, I hate wannabes who claim to know everything about hiphop, and just ruin society with their hyper-materialism and mass conformism, and I hate commercial wannabe-like trends like emo and shit like that. That's really common here in my country. I hate wiggers.. I don't claim to be gangsta or anything and also respect the black community.

  • mddarch I do not deny that port cities were set up invovling Europeans and the slave trade that is my point...The Europeans bought the slaves at the ports; however, it were the African cities such as Dahomey and the Khasso kingdom that captured other Africans and sold them to the Europeans...I am merely pointing out that the above video is not realistic since the Europeans would have bought the slaves at port and not have gone into the various indeigenous tribes to take them away

  • @POPEDimplez The europeans did go to the tribes and take them away. The slaves were at first sold by afrikans. Then the demand became very high for slaves and the euros started to rip off the afrikans. Africa started to stop selling them away. That is then the euros started to steal them, steal the kings and queens. There were wars fought that africa lost and then snatch up into slavery.

Plus when Afrikans have Afrikans slaves, they actually had rights!

  • I am a Phd student in 19th century history at Oxford ENGLAND so wrong western stereotype MrCocky, and and mddarch please look up the following terms and then report back the country of Dahomey and the kingdom of Khasso... Also if you study the history of Liberia I think you will be surprised at how it originated...In the endevery race in its primal days were guilty of slave trading...unfortunately that is simply human nature

  • The slave traders should be arabs or africans... europeans most often bought slaves at port cities (which is still wrong but they did not go out and capture indivual slaves for the most part)... read your history- knowledge is power

  • @POPEDimplez actually europeans built whole industries, boats and slave ports in africa just to catch slave ! they had a whole industry just for slavery !

  • @POPEDimplez Is that what they told? Yeah sure you must have went to school in America.

  • The slave traders should be arabs or africans... europeans most often bought slaves at port cities (which is still wrong but they did not go out and capture indivual slaves for the most part)... read your history- knowledge is power

  • dude i get chills hearing this beat.

that piano does it every time

  • RZA...That nigga got skills!

  • at the end she gave him a look like ....."yeah, Ima get me some of that", and he looked at her like, "Ima tear that white ass up!" haha

  • "fruitkwon" no you didnt

  • this song is still amazing, i grew up hearing this

  • this shit is so amazing

  • Wu Tang is asian now eh?

  • Awesome, Rip Poetic

  • (CONT) We are all ONE RACE...HUMAN....we need to move on from these atrocoties and let them go, but before we can do that, light and truth need to be shed upon them in order for us all to move forward to something better, together.

  • Anyone pointing out blacks sold blacks is simply pointing out more evil in a sea of evil. Everytime Earth is raped for financial gain, this evil continues. anytime a boy abuses his girl, knowing if she saw her true beauty she would leave his shallow ass in a second...Everytime black people point fingers at white 'devils' the evil continues.

  • @SlimKaci totally agree

  • tune!!

  • FUCK LIL WAYNE.DIE!!!!!!

  • Hahaha RZA always with them crazy ninjas

  • Lol wtf. this vid is a crazy trip.

  • This is a history lesson!

  • Epic! I was expecting lyrics with serial killer style verses but this song is actually pretty good.. and it was directed by the RZA which makes it even more better than it already was!

  • @mddarch your entitled to your own opinion.. I believe that is what it is all about..

having said that your obtuse! Yeah look it up ..

  • i used to watch this on the reg in 1997 i just graduated high school and had like 15 vhs tapes filled with hip hop from the 90's which i first started recordint in 1990.. i though i wouls stop recording but i kept on and this song was so fucking real to me i just loved it..

  • doesnt show blacks selling other blacks to white like it really happened

  • @ 3:21, the imagery is most powerful. Right after Frukwan is being beating, and seeing the women enslaved watching from below... how the fuck could this ever happen is beyond me... all I know is we'll never let this happen again.

  • Super-sick fight scene at the beginning.

  • i used 2 record hip hop music videos off of rap city and bring into school to watch wit my friends in class, this was a big hit every body loved, even the teachers, ecept those redneck motherfuckers, guess truth hurts

  • this historic video should have one an oscar. It's like an account of where we came from. It is too surreal, almost prophetic! peace to da godz!!

  • The history of the Asiatic Nations lies hidden in the library of every State of the Union, and also in the library of practically every home if you know were to look. Therefore, the history of the Moorish Nation is not news but a guide to the true history of the world. The European American hid the truth from the so-called Negro under the influence of fear and hatred starting in the year of 1555 AD.

  • sad...thats when ya lost.....

  • One of the best videos Ive seen (fuck a BLING BLING video...)

  • top 5 hip hop videos EVER.

  • yes

  • im 17 my uncle had me and my friends watch this video. my man man rob cried off this video. this is a history class here ..this should be played on b.e.t

  • @thesouthrapsucks "This is a history class here"? I'm not sure slaves performing kung fu is historically acurate.

  • @BlackMahmba: Thats true but to correct you, when they werent slaves till they were enslaved. You make it sound like thats what they were before enslavers invaded. Im not attacking, its just that this video gets me alittle emotional. Peace

  • @crispyears You're right, my mistake.

  • damm what a deep video ...85% will not get this........

  • the video is deep no doubt but i wouldnt say 85% wont get it its not rocket science

  • This aint no history class at all! First of all let me say that the slave trade is a dark page in human history. But dont forget it were African kings and tribes men that sold there own people to the white Europeans. Unlike you see in this video where you see white men attacking them from the bushes. It is not only a wrong fact it is offending aswell. slavery was common to all people of all rases in all the world at that time.

  • So your saying white men didn't go to Africa, enslave people, and bring them back to America? Are you fuckin' insane?

Also, how do you see this as a portrayal of EVERYTHING that happend? Rza shows the white conquerors doing EXACTLY what they did.

  • @FiLdUbz Yes white people or Europeans is what I would like to call them did bring the slaves all over the world. But like I said in my last comment it is wrong to think that whites came to africa and abducted thousands of people without the help of local kings and tribes men. In many paintings from the Duch golden ages you can see slaves trades. In these paintings african kings selling there 'own' country men of rival tribes to the Europeans.

  • @frankthoen They were slaves because they lost in war not because they were preached as being genetically inferior for hundreds of years... European slaves were at least allowed to keep their humanity. The African Slave trade made Black skin a stigma and the lynched Black man a symbol of White power. The mental aspects of the African Slave trade still haunt the Diaspora today, Imagine having your history completely erased...

  • @Kermy5298 Slavery for what ever reasson is wrong the fact that diffirent cultures had diffirent reassons does not make it less bad in the intention! by spoils of war or ideology...

  • @FiLdUbz. So please do your home work! I think slavery is wrong but twisting historical facts is wrong to! Slavery in that time was common to all people of all races..

  • @frankthoen slavery wus started b y the mind when one enslaves his own mind to his own weaknesses he cant get as mcuh done n grafts weaker n weaker n needs more n more slaves so the slavesmaster is actually a slave to the slave.HUH.

  • @whitepeepleareDevils well that is a whole diffirent more philosophical aproach to this issue but an interesting one

  • @frankthoen yes blacks did sell their own to whites but whites did also raid them but some blacks were raided by whites , but most were caught by other blacks. yes everyone knows that..so what are you getting at...

  • @mddarch2 My point is that this video sketches a whole different view on history that is absolutely not true! So thats the whole point and I think that it is wrong..

  • Reminds everyone what a dope rapper RZA was. That was until he decided to rap in recent years like his mouth is full of apples. Check it, he was a tight rapper back then with Liquid Swords being his peak. Loved the first Bobby Digi album though.

  • "Rulers of the 1st part became slaves of the worst part" Deep lyrics!!

  • The last time I saw dis video was in middle school 8th grade yr. It played on MTV back when Wu took over mtv and BET. Straight up. R.I.P. Poetic. I remember the Fairy tales track. I bumped dat wit my niggas back den as well. Wu is the shit straight up and almost everyone affiliated with Wu. This is really a lesson. I wish I can go back in time and relive this true rap shit. Fuck a Joe Budden or a Lil Wayne compared to this. Even Old Master P No Limit shit was da shit. Fuck Mainstream.

  • i was with you until u said master p lol

  • Frukwon

  • The comment below is a response to

    tremblay679

  • THE BEST RZA PRODUCED TUNE

  • Twelve Jewelz

  • I remember the Concert in Bochuuum! Great Times..

  • inoubliable

  • did yall know MTV banned this shit...WHY?? I ask myself

  • Probably because it's intellectual poetry. Its "dangerous" for this kind of art to be pop culture. An ignorant population is an easy population to control. Popular HipHop has strayed far far away from this. This is true art. RZA is genius!

  • Hip-Hop hasn't strayed at all homie. Real MC's still spit real lyrics like this. sadly not even BET plays real shit anymore. Real MC's have no power in mainstream media. Real HIP-HOP gets no love on TV anymore exactly cause of what you said.

  • @itsbarrakobama GZA is genius, just kidding they're both geniuses for SURE!

  • @itsbarrakobama so true

  • cause its talking about a crime white authorities never paid for

  • lol. Well Duh! A lot of whites nowadays do not believe racism still exist or want to acknowledge it, mainly because they are the bad guys in it. They want to be the heroes in society. Or at least take the credit of heroes.

  • hey dude MTV can suck my dick they can put out any mainstream shit i dont give a fuck i dont even watch that channel (:

  • HONDURAS!

  • is this shit ill or what y'all!

  • Fuck racism! I'm white. peace niggas. it's no matter what our skin colour is...we are born from the same thing!

  • no offense, but don't say nigga..

  • not how the y did the black man!

  • classic album

  • Wait.... RZA said it all began in the 1600's, but people have been taking African slaves for thousands of years.

  • True indeed, slavery has existed for thousands of years in Africa, and everywhere else. but nowhere and no time was there been anything like the mid-Atlantic slave trade. Africans were stripped of their names, languages, religions and entire cultures. and that is what this song is about, so listen carefully next time

  • In africa it was used as a form to pay off debts. Think about it if you cant pay someone back you can offer them your services for a certain amout of time. Here it was used as a form of control. Even after slavery blacks were still fucked over by society. That is what it is about dumb shit why would they still hear the earth crying if everything is good. Dumbass expand your mind dumbfucking idiot. Start hanging out with smart black people.

  • He's talking about America. Think!!!

  • Everytime I hear this song, it still sends chills down my spine. RZA's verse really tells a story and even without seeing the video you actually feel like your there and I feel the pain of the slaves.

  • RZA is dope as hell, alwayz on point...Daaamn!!!

  • the instrumental is krazy man

  • all i'm sayin is impeccable superb divine....let your voice be heard god...shine!!

  • the reason they cant figure out how to build pyramids is that they got help by the aliens and thats why each pyramid point at the top is line with each planet that they got help with not an inch out of line of each peak of the stars ...... PeAcE

  • The reason why we built the pyramids is because the blackman is god.

  • actually i believe Jews had a lot to do with building the pyradmids not aliens in space ships

  • Yeah, but the Jews were the laborers!!!

  • Time to take your medication.

  • hahahaha funny vid

  • man i cant stand these ignorant statements right here...black people should never forget about slavery because its part of their history like jews never forgot about the holocaust.

second , the greatest civilisation of all times was egypt (kemet) people were not not living in huts. If you let tv teach you about Africa dont try frontin like you know something about it. check the site when we ruled on google.

I hope it will illuminate you

  • real rap! one love gravediggaz were amazing

  • where'd the kung fu come from lol...i understand wu but that part messed up the video for me...o yea and you kno that white chick picked the black dude to turn her hahahah wu tang muthafucka!!!

  • did u know the first forms of martial arts dates back to Kemet! they have the vid here on youtube. check it! so why wouldn't it be in the video?

  • yea ur right...but im pretty sure ninjas were a japan/china thing...but then again it is Rza...thanx for the info i did not kno eygpt had the first record of martial arts...but then again didn't every country have their own fighting style? hence Street Fighter? lol

  • yea i think you are also right. im quite sure Ninjas, and the type of Karate, or KungFu being used was something mastered in the far East.

but did u check out the video? in Kemet they were practicing some form of systematic fighting style, and they documented it!

Anyway this is the deepest song ever recorded! them brothas is on some REAL shit! you feel'n this song like I AM

  • o of course... anything affliated with Wu is always worth it..

  • Who can send me the Melodie ?

  • the video is kinda political incorrect but the track is dope!

  • if u forget about the past history is bound to repeat itself......

  • thats why we cant forget about slavery ........as long as theirs ignorant fucks out their like u thinking their was a good reason for slavery.......

  • you full of shit

    what about the egyptians dick

how come even now, with all the machinery they still cant figure out how to build a pyramid

yeah they must have some dumb muthafuckas

  • Are you kidding? We know how to build one ourselves, what we cant figure out is how they built it. Another plane of mental consciousness.

  • well whatever

im just sayin they obviously werent some fuckin neanderthal's like JJLEO tryin to say

  • But you know the funniest thing about the ancient Egyptians is that they didn't leave a single tool that was used to build the pyramids behind for us to discover! LOL

  • classic

  • Great video...great album this album started on my search to unplug from the "matrix" PEACE TO THE GODS AND EARTHS

  • I Miss Rza like this..he sounds dope as duck

  • dope as duck HAHAHAHA

  • The ability to do evil is a frame of mind and comes in all shapes and sizes and COLORS.

  • deep. love it like this.

  • I love this shit...I'm gonna break out this album tonite.

  • yacubs c tha big picture they r hundreds of years ahead as far as the work they done on our brains, the lies r stacc-ed on top of each other but as long as were uneducated to the plot then people will forever remain lost and controlled !!!!! shouts to tha g'z

  • Ive never seen this 1 b4! I overstand where they came from wit that!

    Thats whats up!

    Peace in!
