God I miss doing this... I worked out of tampa, the Cape, Aransas Pass, Stock Island. Worked on the Cracker Fleet, the Versaggi Boats, And alot of private boats like the West Wind 3. I miss this so much. I think I have the only tatoo of a shrimp boat on me. In September of 1989, at the Texas Open, right after our Mississippi Open, I was on the MV Cotter Gitter and was 60 miles S.W. of Sabine, Texas and was hit by a 590 foot supertanker called the Lavender and killed all. I was the only survivor.
