Judy..i love this! You are wonderful. So wish I had known you when we were in Nashville. Would've been fun! So lucky to have you in Ali's corner!!! xoxoxo
I remember this song so vividly when I came out in '86. Had such a sweet innocence to it. Her only number one single as a recording artist. She wrote Leann Rimes 1996 number one "One Way Ticket". Way too underestimated!!!
I couldn't remember the singer's name until I checked my sources. It's great to hear this rare gem. I've only heard this tune twice, but now I think I can hear it whenever I want. I thought this song was great! I love it.
Love the lyrics to this song. So glad I found it again. Brings back many memories of being a teenager and being the rare one in my class that loved country music. I would sit and listen to the radio for hours.
This song brings back wonderful memories for me because I was a little kid when it came out and it just sounded so awesome! It's still one of my favorites now
You can't compare today's Country Music to this, this is pure Country, sang by a pure Country Artist, We will never be able to go back in time, so thankfully we have this access to great music and great artist, God Bless you Judy
There are 2 country songs that really galvanize the Nashville 80's sound......Until i met you.....And 16th avenue by Lacy J Dalton.....Both great songs....
I was fortunate to buy a copy of Judy's CD, A Place Called Love, in Toronto back in the mid-nineties, in the bargain bin, of all places, and I also have her other album on vinyl and cassette. She is by far my favorite country singer and I can't believe some other recording label didn't sign her after the MTM days. Her music will always be played in my house
I always loved her voice. My girlfriend back then didn't care much for Country music, but she became a fan thanks in part to Judy and the album this came from. We played it a lot. Ah the memories.
Judy Rodman is my absolute favorite of all time, I miss this Ladys Voice on my Radio, I E-Mailed SIrius Radio's, The Roadhouse and complained, that I never heard her, they are now playing her songs, Judy I love your music, your sweet voice, Brings back many good memories
Hey thanks so much to all of you, it means a lot to me to read your comments. I can't think of a sweeter thing for an artist than to know the music goes on. Thanks especially to " jlgbgky" for putting this up here! xoxoxo
Anything coming out of Nashville is 1970's rock songs. I do not think that any current so called country female singer like Taylor Swift would even consider singing this song. Judy Rodman is a true real country singer!
@patsaxon Pat, I don't know if we're in the same age range or not, but I must say that you are so right on. I'll be 38 in October, and my wife and I argue about whether or not the stuff on today's radio is not much more than pop. Mabye I'm just an old soul with really good taste. This song really is a great one. I even loved it as a teenager.
This song is a heart tugger. I remember hearing this song when I was 11 and I finished 5th grade. I can picture Taylor Swift or Jessica Harp doing a cover up of this song and scoring a huge number one hit with this in the future.
Its only on a record. It has never or will never be put on a CD unless you do it yourself. My dad has the album, it was produced by MGM right before they went out of business. Its very hard to find, but can be found somwhere used Im sure.
It is available on i-tunes for under a buck. Only place other that the tube here that you'll find it. Type in Judy Rodman on the advanced search function.
@45acpauto Her album, A Place Called Love, is the only one available on CD and can be found on Amazon, but is very expensive. You can also find Until I Met You, Girls Ride Horses Too, and She Thinks She'll Marry on a CD titled New Country, Volume One, on the RCA label, but once again, it's very hard to find and pricey (to me, well worth the price).
This song takes me back. I remember playing this when I was with a small AM radio station in Alabama back in the mid-80s. I have always loved this song and always will. And Judy Rodman has a lovely voice! Thank you so much, Judy, for this song!
I have this song, love this song, always will. Been a favorite for many years. I play it, still get the same feeling the first time I heard it. Come to my place and will play you the best music you will ever hear. This is one you will hear twice. Just what a super song!
I am a radio dj and I do a weekend show called the Time Machine where I field requests and dedications and this song gets picked almost every week. It's wonderful that people still want to hear the "very good songs" that are so down-to-earth like "Until I Met You"...one of my favorites too. "Girls Ride Horses Too is right up there as well. Thank you!
@tateandemmy I wonder how some people can write such incredibly beautiful songs.
This has been a favorite of mine for years since I heard it on a country station out of
Phillly. I don't know much about this lady but no one could ever sing this song the way she does. The music is perfect too in the way it captures the theme of the song. These were landmark songs that defined a generation and it will not happen like that again.
ONJ, Jennifer Warnes, Judy Rodman, what classy ladies!
Totally agree with you patsaxon. I fear that country music like this is behind us forever.

According to Judy Rodman Loretta Lynn originally recorded this song on an album but didn't release it as a single.
