I found one on the ground making a screaming noise another flicker attaked it, there was a hole on the side of it's head. It was trying to fly but it died because it was so cold
I've had one for over a week. I'm a wildlife rehabber and it looks to be a male. He fell out of his nest and the person that found him put him in the shade so he was freezing. He is doing well and should be in the wild very soon.

yes..definitely a northern flicker..appears to be a male with the mustache!! nice!!
