What do you mean they don't like teen attitude? How you are as a teen is a glimps at how you are as an adult. Where do you think doctors, engineers come from. Cut teens some slack.
All of the excuses many of you are making in the comments doesn't explain why teen unemployment is growing and the highest it's ever been recorded. Also, clearly this only applies to teens looking for work, otherwise it would be higher than 30%.
When it comes to people like 41elliott and dabatjelly, they don't understand what's going on in the real world. They want to assume that anyone who is unemployed is lazy and not looking. Those teenagers are having a hard time looking for work just like the adults because the job market is corrupted.
When did so many employers become dependent upon child labour?
When I attended High School, teenagers for the most part attend High School during the day, perhaps 1 in 5 or 6 held jobs. Now, according to this headline and story, that figure has reversed. Most teens, only a quarter to a third are not employed as workers, attend school and work.
most of them are unemployed because they're not looking... but fear not! Starbucks is always growing & looking for new people to f*ck up your coffee... XD
Lets also keep in mind that teens are also the LAZIEST segment of the population. Playing video games doesn't pay very well unless you're a beta tester for a software firm.
This society is becomming increasingly lax, and that trend (like many) is first reflected in in the teen population.
Let's face it-- teens today are WORTHLESS for the most part, and they are a product of a slightly less worthless generation of parents. This country is doomed, and no god or politician is going to fix it.
but emos are the leading producer of apathy... that's the kind of productivity the car companies are lacking... there's a lesson to be learned there... XD
In NYC, very few teens have afterschool or weekend jobs.
I see restaurants hiring huge numbers of Mexican guys who don't speak English at minimum wage, but they refuse to hire local teens.
Nobody wants to hire teens because they don't like their attitude.
Also, a lot of stores like Staples and Starbucks want to employ adults first, because it's the adults who have to pay for rent/food.

Maybe if the bankers hadn't of rewarded their friends with the tax payers money for failing, we wouldn't be in this problem.
Have to force socialism and shart on the constitution if we're ever gonna get our little Communist NWO though.
Not that PBS cares about that kind of stuff anymore.
Really It should be CPBS.
Figure it out.

well this comment just sounds ridiculously stupid. I'm not a teen and it still pisses me off. Stop BEING SO GENERAL.

You only reap what you sow.
Your comment reflects on society as a whole more than it does teens as a class of citizen.
