I have the problem that some other people have where the wii doesn't acknowledge that theres a gamecube memory card it it, and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions

Yeah I don't have a Wii anymore... Got bored of it. But I've done the internal Wavebird, and it was the same as the memory card. Just solder to the board.

Thats quite an impressive Mod for the Wii. Seems a bit fussy though, as its only an aesthetic choice. Quick question: Say the memory card broke; would it be possible to replace with a new one?

i think its a great idea, im in love with my wii but i think it looks (slightly) ugly with the memory card and controler plugs stickin' out the top so this is perfect, why they didnt just make em like that god knows

The Wii has built in memory! You don't need a separate Card. But you can't save Wii Games on a Gamecube Card. If you need to buy a separate Card, just get one off ebay. It's just a regular SD Card. You don't need one that says Wii on it! One, it's just an SD Card, and Two it would cost more for one that says Wii on it!

actually, you can do that.

you open your wii, pull out the memory slot from inside, plug the memory card into the card reading chip (the thing that is in the slot to read the memory), sold it, and close your wii.

It won't do anything, because the one that's in there, is soldered for THAT slot! It won't read it, if that's what you're wondering!

Can you tell us how you did this mod? At moment I just assume you have a 2nd Wii hidden that is wired to the TV. Convince us please! "Here's one i did earlier" doesn't cut it for me
