hay i have a Honda mar-gay frame everything is original they are rare made back in 55 i think and are rare so becarfull what you do with that frame because I had another one which sold for 500$

Your wheel isnt bolted on properly, You have bent spacers. Or you have a bent axle. :p

im sick and tired of looking at horizontal shaft engines on other peoples go karts.....i cant even begin to explain my stress from me looking for a perfect used horizontal shaft motor i need at least a 6 hp motor that runs for a price under or just at 200$ but good job on your kart man

then that means your in need of a honda clone. they are under 200$ (mostly) if ur in canada you can get em at princess auto for like $180 or if ur in the US you can get them at harbour frieght but i dont know how much. you idle is set to high.thats bad for the motor.

thats not bad for the engine in anyway, this is an industrial motor and is ment to rev at 3600rpm right when it starts. the only thing that its bad for is the clutch.

Look on ebay for honda gx140 or gx160 (the 160 replaced the 140) You can get bigger more powerful ones too like gx200... they go up to quite a big engine but theyre not really for karts cos theyre pretty damn massive

yea, you can stop them. the tires will always spin, even with a good clutch.

not true, if u set ur idle lower they wont spin, ur idle is very high. Mine dont spin on idle. You may also have soft springs in ur clutch so it engages at say 1600rpm or something. Theres nothing wrong with it, i mean it doesnt matter at all, as long as it doesnt spin when the wheels are on the ground XD.

question umm how did u get the clutch to mount up? because all the honda gx140-160 models have a 3/4taper shaft you let me know it must be fucking magic because i can't get a clutch to work on my gx 140

to tell you the truth i dont even know, i guess a clutch just fits on mine, maybe you can grind down the shaft down a bit and it will fit, is the shaft a little bit bigger then the clutch bore?

well... not really, because the inside of the clutch is spining and it slitly moves the sprocket on it. any tire will spin with a clutch on it.

i have same motor as u but i tune it to beat a 7hp or more motor and i bet i kick your butt in race but idk because i got bigger go-kart like 2 or 3 bigger size but i do drifting on my yard and go least 40 mph and 5.5 seconds in 100 ft. but if u calculate that thats is ? let me know but i didnt have the throttle all the way down so ,u have the govenor out wow i not allowed to take it out damn but ill ask parent to take it out damn

That's a sweet kart. If you have pavement to drive on that thing will be lots of fun. Don't feel bad about paying $300 you got a good deal. I bought a similar kart this spring and I payed $700. It's an Emmick kart from the late 70's It's designed to have two engines. Good luck with your kart.
