Goldshire is not that bad on some servers, like Garona. Its used as a meet up for friends, duels, and new players. I dislike how Moonguard is giving Goldshire a bad reputation.

i one time was in a dungeon on my goblin shaman (he was lvl 16 at the time and i was doing my first random dungeon on that toon) and there was another goblin from moon guard and he started needing on every single thing he could need on, his excuse was "I'm from a RP server and im a goblin, you should know that ALL goblins are VEEERRRYYYY greedy and want everything just to make a few gold." after needing on about 10 other BoEs/BoPs, we kicked him... this goes to show you how stupid RP can be....

The issue is, quite bloody frankly, that most roleplayers have this incredibly incessant and whiny "Blizzard don't care about us, so let's not bother reporting QQ" attitude. And then they don't report the rulebreakers. And then the rulebreakers don't get punished because of the reactive response system. Oh, and I'm a roleplayer and have played on a rp realm for 5 years, so I'm not trying to hate on anyone.

Basically, roleplayers should get their heads out their asses and keep reporting.

Blizzard don't actively police ANY realms (with the noticable exception of one US realm which they announced very loudly). They review ban reports reactively, not proactively.

That is to say, if you report someone for breaking any of any given realm's rules (yes, that includes not following specific RP realm rules) they will react to the report and ban/otherwise punish the individual in question if they've broken the rules.

Only those people who suck at rping, troll on rp realms. Its the cold truth(hence never seeing those individuals who are MAJOR known trolls doing any real roleplaying). and most rp realms are filled with nonrpers...why? i dont know.

I like pvp and I have to agree totally with the analysis of wow pvp. It sucks. It was not made to pvp and it shows. I think it is perhaps time to look at Rift considering it appears that it actually has a pvp talent specialization built into the game as oppose to wow. You can not balance talent trees to be good at pve and pvp nor is it balanced in the wow domain of game engineering. I wish they could sort it out but I think it would take a complete rewrite of the game to do it. Pvp wow?No way.

@SourCyanide I wish people would quit arguing about something in that's been in the game for 3 years. DEAL WITH IT. You don't want to play one, nobody's pointing a gun and forcing you to.

I always found it ironic that instead of the horde complaining that the alliance got shamans and the alliance complaining that horde got paladins, it's usually the other way around lol... they complain about what their side gained, not what the other side gained. Go figure...

I also never said i didn't want to play a paladin. My point is that the game had much more variety between factions when those two classes were separated by them. Picking a faction meant something affecting gameplay. The addition of paladins to the horde and shamans to the alliance was just homogenizing the game. Think of 10 man raid today. Now remove either a paladin or a shaman from a certain fight. Will the fight be handled in a different way between factions?

As an active RPer on Sentinels, I can say that although Goldshire Inn in general is where decent RP goes to die, we can actually manage decent RP, simply by hiding. We don't simply all roll Rogues and stealth RP everywhere, we find nice, secluded spots, where we can actively RP without all of the trolls. If RP servers would go down, I found be forced to sell all of my Sucky RP Gear (NOOOO!!!) and just go play the game normally. Which SUCKS. IF I dont let my insane imagination run, I go insane.

Oh god....Goldshire in moon guard... I only recently started playing on moon guard. A good friend of mine who I often play with on my main server kinda dragged me over. I was curious about RP servers anyway so I gave it a shot. I avoided Alliance for goldshire reasons...Alli side scares me. I've only been playing on MG for two weeks, but I never saw anything that bad on horde....so far at least.

I disagree... I RP on Argent Dawn.. Yes golshire is f***ed up.. thats why no serious RP'ers goes there.. all the good ones are in stormwind (alliance) Silvermoon, Orgrimmar. (horde) or other random places good RP guilds want to RP. If you go to goldshire and think "ah thats how RP'ers act.. your so wrong

I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in the RP realms for the player's sake. There are pockets of RP communities within the RP realms - like Farstriders has several groups that try to RP - but we are plagued by Trolls who want nothing more than to run into whatever back alley we've gone into and spam emotes that make no sense and claim we're all erp'ing. Its highly frustrating for the RP community that we can't do anything to stop/police/remove the Trolls... Trust, me we WISH we could.

I feel like you avoided Andrew's question, quite a bit. You immidiately responded somewhat interestingly, but then went into PvE, and tended to rant on this. PvE is somewhat hurt by the fact nerfs happen to specs because of PvP, but the question was directed towards your opinion about profession use / ability removal in PvP. Overall, it feels like you took it to a "PvE is the game" thing, without much thought for the general idea of reasoning your answer towards why it is a PvP change.

Yea they will, if you don't have TBC you won't have the ability to get past level 60 (it'll be your level cap) same with getting wotlk to get past 70

Goldshire on RP servers... Is pretty much the cesspit of RP..No one with half a brain goes there because of lollers there. If we want to get a good RP rep going, Blizz has to implement a set of RULES, not GUIDELINES for RPers to follow.

These would be things such as harrassing players who are RPing. Would also be nice if Blizz gave indication to new players as to what a RP server is... Not everyone reads the manual. As to us, the RPers, we only avoid bad RP, which is unfortunate.
