Sorry for my late reaction. I have DVB-C over here (Digital TV over Cable). Well the quality depends. HD material is of course very good. When I switch to a non-HD digital channel it just depends (bitrate). Some channels look horrible (e.g. NGC) and some almost look like HD channels.

Well i own a kuro and the colour on your panny looks pretty similer, blacks look very good too
