  • Great Video, I travel the Gaspe line once a year and spend a few days in Perce ,It's very nice trip and i recommend everyone travel it at least once before the line is closed or it washs into the bay .

  • @laredo75 Well, if they actually do get this tourist train up and running they may be able to survive. There's still plans for a propane terminal in Sandy Beach at the end of the line as well. With all the pulp mills and the copper mine gone, it isn't looking good. They're still pumping a lot of money into repairs however.

  • Excelent video! The Cascapedia runs through my back yard at M.P. 11 It's sad that there isn't much traffic on the line like it used to be when I was a kid. I hope business picks up soon.

  • @clam502 I know, I can remember seeing New Carlisle yard full of boxcars back before CN sold the line in 1998. I was 6 at the time. That line has employes at least 9 relatives over the years.

  • Tous simplement magnifique avec cette musique d'ambiance....

  • @GrandCanyon01 thanks you, are you from the Gaspe, my dad is from New Carlisle.

  • @tjmfishing I'm french but I use google translator for write this text :

  • @GrandCanyon01 my grandfather worked for the CN there for 39 years and I have two great uncles that also worked with CN on the Gaspe. I have other relatives that worked for the former Quebec Oriental Railway.
