Many muslims believe that the last prophet to appear AGAIN before the appearance of Muhammad with Jesus at the end of time is the Imam Mahdi... a person who lived many centuries ago, but went into "occultation" for a time. People still send him their prayers at a well, and there is of course, a mosque named for him, as you may know... or not.
