  • steve miller in concert has greater abilities than chuck norris with regard to women

  • I have seen Steve Miller, maybe 6 or 7 times and allways try to pay extra to get up front. Steve Miller is one of those where everytime I go, someone by me is allways saying, Oh I know this one, I didnt know he did this, I love this song, he has many songs to his credit. I heard young kids, say wow, they really likes the show. Do your self a favor, see Steve Miller in concert, he has alot of good songs

  • Awesome eternal song! Amazing harmony. Steve still rocks!

  • I remember an article on Entertainment Tonight.

They interviewed Steve,an "Old Man" of Rock, and asked how much longer he was going to carry on,and he answered "as long as its still fun" .

Steve was 43 at the time, the same age I am now,and I'm thinking 43 is nothing!.

Maybe they should ask him the same question when he's 80,but they will probably get the same answer!.

  • Such a classic it kicks ass til this day!

  • I love this song.

  • The BESTTTTTTTTTTTTT !

  • @Lekecity Think of it though. Still, with REALITY, money talks. I have seen in the news in the past few years, rock bands have made it in the top 10 money makers. Bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, The Rolling Stones, The Police, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, U2, Bruce Springsteen still make money in Live concerts. The highest grossing band was The Rolling Stones that I have seen in the news with $1.7 billion. U2 made $1 billion in concert sales and Bruce Springsteen $605 million.

  • I wish I had been at this concert. Fantastic! Band was great, harmony was on the money, looked like a blast. Love the killer low B string on Billy's Lakland bass. That huge bottom end adds a dimension to the song that is simply off the chart..

  • So few of these guys can still hit the high notes, but Steve still can! (As does his old mate Sir Paul McC.)

  • Oh man, that's an excellent harmony!

  • @Sixstring9 I agree with you, don't forget bruce springsteen and Tom pett

  • what a cool voice he still has. I love the inflection when he says Philadelphia

  • wow look how much fun everybody is having! lol

  • Fact: Steve Miller took personal guitar lessons from Les Paul....

  • I drove from the interior b.c. canada to vancouver b.c canada and listened to steve millers greatest hits all the way excellent video in H.D, even better good to see he looks well great artist Les would be happy

  • You won't see rap crap being popular 30 yrs from now, unlike good classic rock like this.

  • @alan4sure: sugar hill gang is rap, and sugar hill gang has been around 32 years.

I understand you don't like it, but if you don't know what you're talking about you should probably just listen.

  • Love this song ! There's also some fine chicks in the audience ;)

  • are they all the original band members?

  • what he not 67 damn, he looks like 50

  • I think it's pretty cool that I go to the same High School Steve graduated from.

  • timeless and still relevant today

  • does steve miller use a stratocaster?

  • I have been listen this all of my life, I still have the lp

  • @countrynuno awesome man..!!

  • think about doing a band called Novo Combo?

  • damn skippy. he puts the cool in ice cubes.

  • That was on HELL of a performance!

  • Comment removed

  • He's 67 and still rocks with the best of 'em

  • it does,nt come much better than that...brilliant..which 2 morons give this a thumbs down.???..

  • I think I just fell in love. Or heat!

  • Did they take the intro from 'Alright now' by Free?

  • @twoslices Yeah they did, but it's done as an homage.

  • 100% fun & harmless...the way rock is supposed to be!

  • a boy I had a crush on whose name is also Steve turned me on to Steve Miller, in fact I bought him one of his LP's as a surprise birthday gift...great song. It reminds me of those days. also loved the artwork on that LP

  • what year was this in

  • Tab for song at ultimate guitar. Rock N Me Version 2

  • I'm in Chicago and never heard bout this concert. Anyone know where and when this was?

  • @MrPireasxios I think it was july or august 2007. I was front row in front of the bassist clapping like a fool and having a blast.

  • Love this, brings back so many great memories...

  • Great stuff SMB. The Fender is the bomb too! Wouldn't sound anywhere near as good on ANYTHING else.

  • Wow gotta love steve miller band im 17 and i like this old stuff more than all the popular rap i hear today

  • @paintballer1231 dude im younger than you and i totally agree with you this rap crap that ppl listen 2 today is not nearly as good as this old classic rock.

  • @Gepman2007 hell yea man steve miller all the way

  • @paintballer1231 agreed. STEVE MILLER ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

  • I watched the dvd not long ago and i was thinking ,i wonder how many people know anything about his music other then the hits. I see these people in the crowd and i was thinking, Have they ever heard of Brave New World, or # 6. Or is it just the hits they know.

  • Good band!

  • YEAH LIKE IT

    musicalstorehouse dot com

have some material george that you will enjoy just put the site information together

  • STEVE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITES. I REMEMBER ONE DAY AS I WAS LAYING ON THE SOFA AND HE WAS RECORDING. I SAID STEVE YOU OUGHT TO MAKE A RECORD. I WAS JUST A KID THEN, IT'S A LITTLE STRANGE TO HAVE KNOWN HIM YEARS AGO SO CLOSE TO SEE HIM SO MUCH OF A LEGEND NOW. WHAT A GUY, EVEN THOUGH HIS FAMILY WAS SUPER WEALTHY HE STILL PAID HIS DUES AND STRUGGLED SOME CLIMBING THE LATER. BUT IT'S STILL NICE TO HAVE A FEW MILLION TO RECORD IN THE NICE STUDIOS AND HIRE THE BEST ENGINEERS. GO STEVE

  • @petergiardina2010 Did you know him when he went to grade school?

  • im happy to hear he can still pull of the voice, sounds like a young guy still. and they still can recreate the classic guitar sound live.

  • LOVELY SONG !!!!!!!!!! brings me back memories when i was a teenager....

  • @Anna23cac ... The "transistor" lit near my ear in the bed which plays slowly at night not to awaken my parents, year 1976 ! Good memories too !!!

  • I think it sounds cheezy.........and I dont know if it's the original drummer but he is not using the china cymbal like it was in the original which is huge to the song in my opinion.....sounds like crap imo. :(

  • @nopast68 agreed.

  • i first heard this song on rock band 2

its sweet to play on rock band and on real guitar!

  • checkout the chest hams at 0:55

  • good

  • WHATZUPPPPPPPPPPPP!

  • reminds me of paul mccartney

  • My favorite Steve Miller tune, and album it came off of.Baby, baby, baby, keep on rock n me BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds to me like steve either pretty far into the set and getting tired, or he just doesnt have the lungs that he used to

  • @lifeisublime

He was born in oktober 1943, not really a youngster anymore.

  • @stevo0476 thank you, that was the point i was trying to make, hes gettin up there, and doesnt really got the lungs he used to, then some douchebag started saying ill never make it to that age cause someone will kill me first, lol.

  • one of my ,legendary favorits !!! GREAT!

  • S M B still keep on rocking me...yeahhh great and amazing band...

  • Seve still rocks!

  • This sounds amazing. Thanks

  • C'mon Steve, you could have laid down a nice solo in the last minute

  • KEEP ON ROCK N

  • I love that beat-up strat he has..My dad has a couple..their really nice..love how fender makes them that way. Love the Irony in them.

  • Cougars be rockin!! lol

  • 10 golden pillars seen overall...

  • Long live Mr. Buffalo, may he rest in peace. A tribute for him is happening this January in Oakland.....

  • Another bunch of Geriatric Rockers. LOL

  • They might be geriatric, but when I look around the audience, at least half the people are young enough to be their sons and daughters.

  • Very true, Metal! I saw Steve about a year ago to a packed house of about 5,000. At least half of them were in their teens or very early 20's having a great time. Great music always stands the test of time and transcends generations. Steve was amazing!!

  • Yes, good music has not age limit. It's not the age but the music that's universal. It transcends generations. One good thing about Classic Rock music , unlike RAP crap, it is still enjoyable to see even older guys playing them live in concert. Can you imagine someone like 50 cent or any of those other rappers at 55 yrs or 60 yrs old? How do you think they would look on stage, trying to incite the crowd without a shirt, with their flabby bellys, sagging chest muscles and wrinkly arms? LOL

  • Sorry I meant, good music has NO age limit and has no age boundaries. It appeals to people of all ages and it transcends generations. Isn't that why Bach, Strauss, Beethoven, Mozart still appeals to a lot of people even after centuries passed?

  • @MrHardrod2 great point....

  • @sixstring9 Well, think of it and imagine it in your head. 20 - 30 yrs down the road from now, where are all the RAP stars? What will they look like at 50 - 60 yrs old? Are they still going to attract the kind of crowd they have and sell albums? Robin Trower is over 60 yrs old. The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Van Halen etc still rock today and they make a lot of money during their concert tours. And those guys are past 50 yrs old.

  • @MrHardrod2 TIENES TODA LA RAZON !! QUE VIVA EL ROCK !!! UP ROCK !!!

  • What other good choices are there today anyways? RAP? 50 cent? nyahahahaha THUG MUSIC? hahahahaha Old time rock / Hard Rock / Blues / Metal / Prog Rock are the only ones that are decent enought to listen unless you like that RAP CRAP CLAP TRAP

  • I do agree with you a 100%, there a lot of more people enjoying Rock & Roll than rap and Hip Hop.

  • the one with the beret does too much girlie stage gimmick shit

  • god I love that Strat sound

    so round and bell like

could slide it on toast and eat it for breakfast

    after a long night

  • wow, his voice still rocks :)

  • 8=======o

  • @samkev84 pu a D on the end, looks funnier

  • this is too much,

    too busy , too glamorized,

    its nothing like the original

  • this is better than the original if you ask me

  • @spacedolphin88

    fuck you !

  • awsome tune...

    5/5

  • He looks like a "lawyer" but hey I do too......ha, ha

  • One of my fave singles of all time. Great car driving song.

  • The song is a made out of 3 chords. The way they use these chords is brilliant. A good song does not have to be complex. That's the genius of steve miller if you like it or not

  • @stevo0476 yea because he was probably so blasted out of his mind when he wrote this song that he kept it simple so he could remember it easy, but it sounds amazing!!! Going to the June 12th concert in AC! SEE YOU THERE!!!

  • @SkeletonViking

Not a real change of these guys coming to Belgium Europe in the near future I'm afraid, never the less, this live performance is better than the albumversion.

  • @SkeletonViking im going as well!

  • @stevo0476 ..most definately true

  • @stevo0476 Agree to the minute. They are using those three chords equally well in Jet Airliner.

  • Steve Rocked the Erie County Fair for 2 hours last night....... I'd go see him again anytime.....

  • He's still got it...in spades.

  • @KOOLDAVE1953 He's Spade aliscious.

  • that was great! better than original

  • 10x better than the original recording. Steve Miller Band is the shit. The way he plays the guitar, he makes it look so easy. I have to get this DVD.

  • wow this looks awesome in hd!!

    awesome band too even better!!

  • did anyone else notice he was lookin so fuckin hot?

  • lol)

  • did anyone else notice he was playing a mapl neck guitar and ended with a rosewood?

  • any musician that has performed live , especially those who had to mix their their own sound know how hard it is to make your music sound as good as it does on the record so i know that they did a kickass job

  • yeah we can all say the steve miller band still rocks

  • wow most bands decline as they get older and it is just sad but they sounded great!

  • Why doesn't Steve stretch this song out with some cool lead solos? It seems like such a good song to jam on!
