  • THX yungbenny911 !!! my maximum overcloking without artifacts or freeze: 742/933/1484

  • @gtonelmp oh.. good for ya!... test it for artifacts with ati tool... dont install the drivers. just the tool.. and update your driver to the latest if you haven't already... it gives massive boost in games! ^_^ 50 fps on skyrim

  • @qaiserahmad42 These are snapshots of my nvidia control panel 3d settings "There is a space between the com in the links" imgur.co m/7QvoU.png imgur.co m/OMjpv.png ... Make sure yours is set like this... also, i have an intel core i7-2630QM processor and your i5-2430M is much slower than mine. so it will definitely affect your score. since 3dmark 06 and 11 test the cpu too.

  • @yungbenny911 Hi How did you get 1718 scores in 3d mark11? When i oc my GT550m with 144 cores, too i get 1409? And normal without oc 1125? How are your settings in Nvidia Control Panel Standard 3d settings? Quality or Performance? • quick question though....I cant post results because I think Futuremark sees the damn Sandybridge Intel GPU when it starts and doesn't support it. Obviously though the Nvidia GPU is taking over...so how to I get Futuremark to see the Nvidia chip and post it on the results?

    Thanks

    Nascarlurg

  • @nascarlurg Hey. :D try running it again and see what happens. i got some errors too. my processor wont show any Mhz in the results. I just retried and it worked the next time. and thanks a lot for your first comment :).

  • Dude outstanding job thanks for laying it out and found your vid. I guess all the new XPS17's are coming with the 144 for the 550. Thing is I got this Dell from Staples for $899 with an i7 2670QM and 8GB Ram..1TB drive...and the 550M. So I couldnt upgrade obviously. But it was a nice surprise to see the GPU come with 144 shaders even though still only 1GB GPU ram. I guess at least having 8GB helps with the sharing of 2GB to bring the total GPU ram t 3GB keep up the good work my friend. !!!

  • Getting 96 Celcius with BF3 Ultra Hight setting / max overclocking with EVGA Precision ahah

  • @Facefullz12 Lmfao!.. lie though, your system should shut down before it gets that high

  • @yungbenny911 Lmfao! Check the screenshot in your message box.

  • @Facefullz12 OMG!!!.. it's actually true!... your bios version is "A11", update it to A12. #do not update it to "A14"... A14 is unstable. that heat lvl is going to ruin your system in noooo time at all, trust me. Do you have a cooling pad?... I play bf3 for hours and without cooling pad, i get 67c max. with cooling pad i get 58-59c... i kinda wonder if your fans are working at all.

  • @yungbenny911 No problem we have a 4 years warranty for this =)

  • @VincentBouillon Ermmm.. -___- . i don't think you read your warranty policy/user agreement. IT DOES NOT COVER OVERCLOCKING!!!... if your system gets ruined by overclocking, you have broken the contract and they wont cover it... just get those temps low mate!. better safe than sorry

  • @yungbenny911 Well we are not abusing with the "overclocking" as you said... it's not real overclocking cause first it's a program made by a graphic card company, so i don't think it's consider as dangerous for pc and we are not changing things in the BIOS or shit like that i don't really know so it's like cheap overclocking.... Anyway, even when i'm not using EVGA, i'm getting 90 celcius, so they can't really prove nothing....

  • @yungbenny911 I'll wait for the A14 when it'll be fix.. and no i'm not playing with a cooler and yes my fan work ahah..

  • @Facefullz12 get a laptop cooler Asap!. or your Bf3 days will be over soon.

  • @yungbenny911 I called Dell and they said a lot of people had call for high temp during playing bf3 and they said Nvidia is working for a new update to fix it... Anyway I got 3 years of warranty so :)

  • @yungbenny911 No it doesnt shut down i've reach 95+ Celcius with EVGA and it doesnt shut down....

  • @VincentBouillon that's just weird.. update you bios to A12. not #A14. Mine under-clocks itself if it goes up to 77c or higher. get a cooling pad or something. you will ruin your system. #Big time!

  • @SkyTw0 69c and below is safe.

  • @yungbenny911 What about 70-73?

  • @SkyTw0 not safe

  • @yungbenny911 Hmm. SHIT!!!!

  • @SkyTw0 lol. its not too bad, but i don't just recommend it.

  • @yungbenny911 dude I found it's ok. every computer can get 70c at full load. i'm getting 70c at stock clocks too.

  • @SkyTw0 well.. maybe am being overly protective about the heat thing :D... but some guys here are getting 93c on Bf3 overclocked.. and that's definitely not good.

  • @yungbenny911 Yeah I mean battlefield 3.my computer gets full load... But I clean my computer now and my minimum idling record is now 25 celsius ( when not playing games) :)

  • even when i extreme overclock my GPU i still get lag in games that should run fine without lag with no overclock so do you know whats going on? did i mess up my GPU?

  • @lemonyy3122 check your Nvidia control panel 3D settings and make sure all settings are set to "application controlled" or default and also update your drivers too if they are not. also check your temps too, 74c and above is Hot!. if you're running too hot, the laptop automatically underclocks itself to prevent damage to the gpu. I have experienced this with my own gpu, i was running at 76c when it happened.

  • @yungbenny911 what's the temperatures are good? does 67 or 64-61 is good anymore?

  • i've got gt525m and i overclock it to 800mhz core clock and 1400mhz shader, and from all i've read.. gt550m is just some overclocked version of 525m

  • I overclocked my GeForce GT 555M with MSI Afterburner. It shipped from Dell.com with core clock at 590MHz but I got mines to pulse comfortably at 702MHz [Shader Clock 1404MHz] running the forceWare 290.53 beta driver. I'm new to this. What is the safest for my Dell XPS 17-3D GPU [anyone] ?

  • song?

  • @CupHolderish cant remember. sorry. just some random instrumental.

  • so I watched your first video and overclocked my nvidia 550m GPU with msi afterburner, after I overclocked it once my computer automatically had 144 shaders, but it didn't come stalk with 144 shaders, it origionally had 96, so can I still use this way of overclocking my GPU and can I max it out using this software?

  • @lemonyy3122 Finally someone that agrees with me :D, no one ever believes me when i say mine had 96 shaders to begin with. and yes you can go as high as this.. but for perfect stability in all games... set it to 742mhz (core clock) and 970mhz (memory clock). make sure you've got a good cooling source... don't place it on your lap, bed or rug bro.. try cleaning up with compressed air too after a week or so. create low overclock profiles too for less demanding games like WOW and others

  • @yungbenny911 thanks for all the info man, one more question, whats hot for this computer like whats a good temperature for it to be running at? cause i got the cool master u3 cooling pad like u said u were getting in ur other video and whenever i play games im in the 70s for temperature and as soon as i get out of the game im in the high 60s so is that normal or is my laptop running really hot?

  • @lemonyy3122 make sure not to run this for 3-4hours straight... even at stock clock a gpu will still fail if you overuse it. like an x-box :P

  • Why you don't post more videos?

  • @teknown i will asap... i took a Christmas break

  • Whats the big deal :D 555 match m460 at 750mhz.

  • @ZaxL89 hehe.. saw your deleted comment.. am sure you take that back after seeing the score at 760mhz. ^__^... ofcus it's faster than a stock 555m... but not a overclocked 555m... an overclocked 555m can get a max 3dmark 11 score of 2115..."3dmark.co m/3dm11/2099245"

  • Can you tell me more about the max settings for the 555M? I'd love to know whats "comfortable" for my 555M. Thnx.

  • @robLICKE... 3dmark.c om/3dm11/2099282 ... That is the max overclock you can ever get for 555m.. but for stable gpu, i'll say you undershoot that by 20-15%... 820-840mhz (core clock) and 1150-1200mhz (memory clock).. play games like trine 2. for sometime and if you see any artifacts, reduce the clock speeds more till artifacts dont show again.

  • How do the fans cope with this?

  • @itskankan they do well :D..

  • Nice
