if you give them frequent baths with a ferret shampoo or any sort of shampoo they will stink more. You should only bath them once every 3-4 months, sometimes not even that. There are owners that have gone a whole year without bathing their ferrets lol Of course you'd have to give them a bath if they got into something dirty lol. But you can let them frolic around in plain water as much as you want though!
I have 3 :) You can definitely just have one, just make sure you give it LOTS of attention and love so they don't get lonely. You would be playing the part of the 'other ferret'
