Yes, muslims are under pressure to become western, separatists, ie, re-write the Quran to co inside with western human rights.( have you read sharia ) it wont be allowed in the west. You're giving reasons why the Catholics did what they did. Those reasons are besides the point as they do not change the fact that still tens of thousands were killed at the hands of Christians. Even if the Catholics were justified in their revenge, which they're not, what about the KKK?

So, the Muslims "starting it" is good reason to slay tens of thousands of them in the name of God? I think not. The Inquisition was not spurred by any provoking but by the Catholic church's corruption and desire to convert as many non-Christians as possible. Yes, I agree it is natural for people to perceive the recent Muslim extremist attacks to be more dangerous but that does not make it right. It is a part of human nature that can't be excused just because it is natural.

a good reason yes in the name of god and self-defense. the inquisition wouldn't have happened if muslims didn't oppress christian in southern spain for 800 years, conversion was a by-product of the inquisition but the main goal was to purge islam completely from spain.

Have you ever heard of the religious crusades in which Christians killed tens of thousands of Muslims and other people alike? Have you ever heard of the Inquisition when Catholics captured people and offered them the simple choice of "Convert or die"? I am really confused about why such a negative stigma against Muslims exists in America when every religion is just as guilty as the other.

crusades and inquisition did happen a few hundred years ago whereas 911 happened just less than 10 years ago so it's kind of natural if americans are more wary towards muslims rather than they do towards the crusaders or the inquisitors.
