  • BTW: Whatever happened to "The Yankee Flyer" restoration project that was begun about 10 years ago..?

    Haven't heard or read anything about the project in recent years through the media or TRAINS Magazine..!

  • If your even in Chicago the Museum of Science and Industry has the CB&Q Denver Zephyr that ran non stop from Denver to Chicago and made the record books for land speed. Its quite a train to see. same as the Flying Yankee. The cab up front was really cramped and awkward, followed by the dessel engine, and the mail part of the 1st car. 2nd car was seats, 3rd was seats and lounge. Refurbished to like new, worth a trip to the museum in your in Chi.

  • Remarkable quality given the age of the 8mm films.

  • Wife has a model of this train. Paid $300.
