I don't know if it is just me, but 2k9 is way better than 10 and 11. The players' movement mehanics and animations are way better. Not to mention how every player is better personalized... In 2k9 it felt like you were controlling real life players... In 2k11 (which I' m really trying to get to like) every player acts almost the same. Only Shawn Marion feels like... Shawn Marion. But that ain't too hard to achieve with the way his shot looks like...

there's no specific button to push for a dunk.

is the player good/tall enough for a dunk and u run with him to the basket without getting stopped, he probably will dunk...

it's even possible with players like Rondo, but he doesn't dunk as much as for example Garnett. For the variations of a dunk there's also an adjusment for a joystick on the controller. Hope it helped, and sorry for my bad bad english ;)

NBA 2k9 is better.. the only thing i like about 2k10 is the my player mode. in 2k10 you cant throw passes longer than half court range or its 100% intercepted or a bad pass that causes a turnover unless you are a very good passer.. And its easy to get your ball picked away ...

Great game. The only things I dislike about it is the major lag I get(I dunno if it's me or what, but it freezes when I get 10 people in Team-Up, and sometimes when I go up for a hard layup in the game, and the other person freezes too), and also the lack of lobbies. I hated how I just started playing NBA for the first time, and the first opponent I get was 5,000 something. 15,000 now though so it's all good I guess...

You like it because you only care about offense. I care about defense too. Thats why i think this game sucks. Playing without defense is no fun because you can score ~150 points every game on Hall of fame difficulty with "realistic rosters".

computer is rigged. the best way to play this game is against someone else. that way everything is humanj controlled and its a billion times more realistic. defense is then easier, and the scores dont got upto 150 unless u go quadruple overtime.

2k rocks but could need some updates like more features like stuff to do just to take a break form the original game of basketball. The blacktop was a good addition but it could need more activities to do. The overall game play is good but at times shots seem to fall easily form most places on a half-court set. Also when you change the settings for it it may or may not turn out how you want it.
