The tune this musical box plays is "The Windmills of your mind" written by Michel Legrand and sung first by Noel Harrison. The song was also featured in the film "The Thomas Crown Affair" back in 1968 . I'm sure you can find the song if you search on YouTube for it.

The cylinder is rotated by a spring-driven motor, causing it to rotate. As it turns, the pins on the cylinder catch the teeth of a comb in a specific sequence, which creates the music.

@13emmy13 Don't sell it. :) Also, that tune, is an older tune, that usually goes faster and is more upbeat than that. It's a church with a rotating steeple, and flowers, made of copper, and rotates the steeple with gearing, etc., it's a rarer thing to find. If someone was really a collector of that kind of thing, they'd jump on it even for $393,293. Or more. For example, I have a 1922 remington portable worth $8,000+. But i got it for 50$ at a garadge sale. (50 was the tag price.)

@13emmy13 Oh, by the way, depending on what year it was made, it could be worth a lot less, from the fact they made more in later years than the 1910s. They became less rare in the 1930s. So if it's 1910 or earlier, you got serious money on you with that thing. (Now, a collector might want it for less than the 300,000$ price, but that's reasonable. 30,000 is a smaller, more reasonable price, the 300,000 would be for a musiem more likely.
