The spear was definitely soft. It wasn't a hard spear, but it was still a spear. Its like arguing someone laying on top of another player not letting him stand is interference, and so is obstructing his movement up the ice. Both are infractions. There is no such thing as a rule kinda or a little broken. A soft spear, by a very talented player
