You really don't get it do you... how can you compare Germany to terrorists? Defeating Germany was simple: pound the country down until the leadership was forced to submit. There is no easily achievable objective when fighting terrorists because there is no set power structure, and even after Bin Laden is killed (maybe from all the loughing) it does not mark the end of terrorism. Terrorism is a concept, not an entity, and it can't really be removed.
