i agree there is basis for statements presented here, however I'm a bit bothered by their saying now one can carry one's sense of purpose with them, as if up to now it couldn't be done, and as if it is (related to) this (4th screen) piece of hardware.
in the long run, it's a great tool for communication and entertainment, BUT people WILL become dependent on them, MASSIVELY, and that's a bad thing AFAIK.
They are onto something... although a little off base saying that Nokia is the exclusive new paradigm.
The personal computing paradigm IS moving to the mobile computing paradigm.
Cell phones will no longer be "cell phones", they will be "devices" or "handhelds." 4G networks give us ubiquitous broadband connections opening up all kinds of new web experiences.
The most relevant information in many cases is that of proximity. Handhelds will become the link between the physical and the web.
It's not just a cellphone, it's a handheld assistant of sorts. Back in the 1930s there was a newsreel with their own take at the future - some weird-looking guy in what they call a futuristic man's dress had a portable phone, plus radio, and some compartments for candy and stuff. Despite their statements that men will no longer don suits and tuxedos in the future, we still do, albeit in a more formal manner, yet we still get to have some of what they predicted.
oh right, i just thought you were advertising some kind of new cellphone..well..that won't do good for my eyes, having internet on this tuny screen lol
and you missed mine. don't these kinda phones exist for years? i mean, even i have an mp3-player on mine lol. eitherway, i just don't get it. the screen's too tiny for any of those you mention
screens are getting bigger as buttons are going, and being replaced with touch capabilities. they are still small but close to your face so theree isnt too much difference
nice and inspirational, but neoumlaut is quite right: where is the real (as opposed to virtual) communication with the ones around us? that boy is playing football...but in the videogame, not with a real ball and his friends there present! instead of playing videogames at home we play videogames in the street... but we don't play the real game...
very inspirational video, except for the fact that it is complete bullshit
having games, internet access and the like on your cell phone doesn't connect people, it isolates them. instead of talking to people around them, people are fixated on listening to their cell phones or using myspace on it

Does anyone know if the music in the background is from any other specific song, or is it just awesome stock audio?

I loath my current situation of having to sit in front of a screen in order to get work done or to look for entertainment.
Hence I rejoice at the idea of fourth screen so that we are no longer limited by our physical location to get our things done

ya wateva. just another existential dramatized commercial advertisement for a gadget. It's a commercial, not a groundbreaking work of art.

i don't really get how the fourth screen is that much different. it's a cellphone for christ's sake!

You've missed the whole point of the video... it's not a cellphone any more. It's your media viewer, your sat-nav, your web browser etc.
