You can actually improve the armor rating a lot more! You just need 100 Smithing and 100 Enchanting. Once you have those, make Hide Armor, gauntlets and boots, then a necklace and a ring. Enchant all of them with "Fortify Smithing" with Grand Soul Gems for more effect, then grab an "Elixir of Smithing" (i'm not sure what it's called though..) for 50% MORE smithing effect. Drink the potion, upgrade your armor as fast as you can, wear, see armor rating.. 8D

Like.......try getting deadric armor and upgraded it to legendary I did that I also did it with

Dragon bone armor

Glass armor

Oh and to make it a proper quest trying getting to weapons aswel

What I did was search for ebony and saved enough money for a lot of deadra hearts

When I done that I went smithing and make the armor and weapons and upgrading them all and I have dragon armor aswell and I still have dragon bone I upgraded i

@TylerD2116 when you get a high enough Smithing level to make an Armour and put a perk in it, it will become available at the shops but it's worth making what you want because the shops only have one or two items of what you want.

I have been playing allot with heavy armor toon an orc anyway I went potion making and enchanting. Proficency with two handed axe all 2 hand perks but back stun Lock picking expert and unbreakable oh yea potion making no poison perks. Anyway Mad several enchanting gear pieces to buff smithing. Now my armor is like way over 270 head chest and wrist pieces are like 170 all deadric. I had no problems with dragons so far. Did before when i had no elemental protection on my armor.

Don't like it. Looks much to bulky and heavy for a light armor. The elven-design suited a lot better with my kitty :)

If you join the Dark Brotherhood and continue doing their quests you eventually get to one that has you kill the Emperor, one you kill him you get paid 20k. I used 12k to get my smithing up by just making iron daggers. Thumbs up so everyone knows the easy way to make a ton of money and get their smithing up real fast.
