Great video thanks, ive just mede my first net, watched a hell of a lot of vids but yours is by far the best, plus i can understand that your saying because im from county durham lol.

Just to ask, why is it you dont double know when adding a loop and would it make any difference if i did double knot when adding a loop?

To be honest I do not know.

The twine is in spools of 500g !

They are Britains biggest pest and landowners need to get rid of them.

Deer stalking is quite common Red deer, Fallow deer, sika deer, roe deer and muntjacks also wild bore.

Thats about as big as it gets over here.

the best video on purse nets i have ever seen much better than the instructions you get with net kits which i gave up with after making one gate net ...... will be dusting off the kit and getting back to net making just found my old deben mk1 finder too just need to source a decent ferret and im back out there ... cheers for the insperation steve your a star

Good vid steve i make purse nets the same way as you if anyone is learning to make purse nets and follows this vid you will make a good net and your knots should not slip .

where do you get the twine you use , is there a set size to get ?

would a fishing boat supply shop have the twine , is it nylon or polyester you use

You can buy the twine from Ebay or from nationwidesplicing.co.uk

Give them a ring they deliver and are cheap.

Just made 1 of these nets using your vid made plenty of nets but not the same way as you do usually make mine 15 mesh wide by 18 long nice to have a couple of your style of nets for them double holers mind me personally think il be making mine in your style but a bit smaller.Great vid by the way m8.

I like them as they are pre shaped ready to close.

They are super fast closing and to be honest saves on materials when you make them.

There is nothing as in "excess" material to bunch up and restrict the closing.

I have made 1000's and to be honest I have never had a fail to close around the bunny.......

very good video my man! however i would not be making my nets to that plan i always make mine 16 mesh from start to finish, the idear being that its better to have a net with lots of bag that fits the hole well as apposed to one that shaped to fit the hole well
