  • Brave soul, thank you. If you see my dad, (who I only met twice) Tell him I honor him. I honor him for what he had to see and do. The things you both understand, and I can never imagine.I don't blame him. It was hard with all that he had in his head. Ask him where is my North Korean/Cherokee Irish brother? How I wish I could find him!! My dad could not adjust to all of it. I don't see how anyone could really. RIP Mike McCarthy I have your warriour blood, I thank you and I honor you.I honor you

  • My friend Art Loftus, a member of the Chosin Few- God rest his soul, never adjusted when he came home, never a day went by that he wasn't in the Korean War enduring an onslaught of 300,000 Chinese soildiers in a surpirse attack, sixty below zero temperatures, his dead and frozen fellow Marines being stacked on trucks like cord wood; and on his survival and arrival back home he couldn't sleep in his parents' house, and so he slept outdoors. God rest his soul.+

  • @brokkenstar God bless you Art Loftus.

  • @BLESSINGSFORISRAEL On behalf of Art, thank you!

  • A big thank you to all those who served in "The Forgotten War." I will never forget!

  • Wow,just the way it is gives me goosebumps, very haunting but in a good way.

  • Where are those statues of the GI's located? FAB!!!!

  • @Garethstruelove - this is the Korean War Memorial in Washington DC. Visiting there is a very humbling experience for those who have family that served in this war. The figures represent combat soldiers from different branches of the miltary

  • My Grandpa was in the Korean War. While my grandpa was on his death bed my cousin played this song on his violin. It was the last song he heard. Hearing this song brings me peace.

  • My grandfather was a veteran of the Finnish Continuation War against the Soviet Union in 1941-1944. He was only 17 when he went but came home unhurt. Finland remained independent, though payed a high price for it. Some people use to say that God was on Finland's side in the war and when the Soviet Union came too close he put his hand on the front line and said "here, but no further". Since this is the music from the Finlandia Hymn, it is very close to my Finnish heart. God bless you all.

  • My favorite hymn

  • Wow! Beautiful hymn. Just went down my spine.

    I love it.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Welldone and God bless †
