@jesusorder10 jesus was a vegetarian, he never ate cow pig chicken turkey horse lobster etc. thou s hall not kill! there were no slaughterhouses in the bible and animals go to heaven they feel pain and should not be murdered for your taste buds.
dude. thats just dumb.. lol. why 2 girls? why not a guy and a girl? it'd certainly be more appropriate for the public. (not that there is anything wrong with homosexuality)
this doesn't get any point across to me. I'm sure 90% or more of the people that were there watching them were NOT interested in being vegetarians. :P
PULL THE PURITANICAL STICK OUT OF YOUR ASS. Unless these women are slaves, I would assume they volunteered to do this, thus making them NOT EXPLOITED. Objectification in colloquial understanding today is essentially male animal sexuality anyway, which is something 'sex-positive' feminists have never accepted.
This is utterly reprehensible. I'm vegetarian, but I fail to see how the damage and offense done to women and the gay community is commensurate with the good done for animals. I doubt this had any impact whatsoever on any of the viewers other than to reaffirm a notion of lesbians as sex objects. There are plenty of good reasons to go veg without this sort of abhorrant advertising.
Thanks a lot. I was actually thinking that being vegetarian might be kinda cool, and then your dumb ass had to come along and remind me of why it's not.

You know, I think PETA goes to such extremes because people NEED that kind of shock-value, that kind of a slap-in-the-face, just to get the point across to them. If even ten people decide to research animal cruelty or vegetarianism because of one of PETA's attention grabbing adverts, than I'd say they've done their job. Their methods have always been pretty far out there, but their hearts are in the right place, at least.
It's pretty hot, I must admit. However, I can't understand why PETA uses hot women to make a point: it just doesn't make sense from an advertising point of view. They're selling sex, not animal rights.
*Sigh* I know, but still, I think I get their point. You know how many guys buy irrelevant things just for having giant knockers on them or something of the sort? It's trying to use that strategy. I believe that they think people are much too narrow-minded to conceive of the stakes we are dealing with when eating meat. *Anti-meat*
darkfighter, it's easy, ESPECIALLY if you're in the UK where virtually everything that isn't from an animal is labelled as being vegetarian so you don't have to check there are no hidden animal ingredients
I say when animals lives are at risk, the last thing we should be considering is the pride of these two women. They know this, thats why they are doing it. There is a greater cause.
Objectification!? I think this will turn on lesbian and bi-women. It doesn't do much for me a straight vegan male. And who are you to tell these women that they're "objectifying" themselves or other women? They have a right to put the message out without nattering naybobs of negativity.
Being a vegetarian is a good step but thats just saying you don't like animals being killed for your food but you don't mind them suffering for their produce like eggs and milk which are also farmed brutally. I'm a guy and I don't really agree with or see the relevance of 2 girls making out to promote this kind of thing, but hey i guess if it makes people stop and read the sign for a few minutes maybe its better than nothing.
Well duh animals don't volunteer to get slaughtered. They wouldn't taste half as good if they were killed on their own free will. Plus it wouldn't be as fun.
Don't you know that the more cruel the animals death is, the tastier the meat?

This IS a good way to promote anything, so we might as well use sex to sell veganism, haha. IM GAME. Better than whiny annoying hippy tactics.

Well done Peta. It got the attention NEEDED TO BRING AWARENESS TO ANIMAL ABUSE.

I'm a vegan, but exploiting women is not an appropriate method to say that exploiting animals is wrong.

Luckily, for Balin93 there's a buttload of video right here on youtube showing exactly how brutal it is.
Somebody show him how to look it up.

Yeah I'm vegan and I agree. PETA will use anything to stop people eating meat, but they should also be worrying about human rights.
