  • That bird was like, "Oh SHIT son!"

  • LMAO that poor bird xD

  • SKILL!!

  • I think this is more like 700mph

  • that is awsome!!!!

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • It's a cloud of water created by the air he's pushing around him.

  • that bird dropped dead when the air hit it.

  • it's illigal for them to break the sound barrier there, they were On the verge, but they never actually broke the sound barrier

  • it dont break the sound barrier

that was high subsonic Speed almost breakin the soundbarrier !

  • Blue Angel, nice work

  • Blue Angel, good work

  • LOLOLOLOLOL BIRD GOT OWNED

  • i wander what that bird thought when he saw that thing coming

  • no sonic boom there, only the trans sonic shock wave (mach 0.99), would have broke windows and caused damage at that altitude anyway.

  • the bird was like

    "well fuck that"

  • just fake

  • @leondreaq fake? no, that's an F-18 super hornet cloaked in Blue Angel livery

  • @tfxbillet he is too much close to water...he must be insane to make this :)

  • omg how good is the pilot fucking great

  • That bird was like, "nope, fuck that."

  • wow.....wakey wakey dream boats.....bitch is here....lol.

  • All the noise is actually the bird breaking the sound barrier trying to get out of the way of the idiot jet.

  • Did I hear a sonic boom???? No!!!!! Yeah he did NOT break the sound barrier.

  • The real reason for that condensation cloud is the sudden drop in air pressure over the water. It is not related to the speed of the plane actually, but it happens most often at transsonic speed. If you want to know the specifics, search on Prandtl–Glauert singularity, that should get you going.

  • what was that before the plane.

  • Where are the sonic booms? Yes two, one off the nose the other off the canopy.

  • thats in sf rite? cause i live near there and i watch that every year

  • This is not breaking the sound barrier

There was no bang, just subsonic roar and the typical mist associated with high speed flight dynamics

If you want to see a supersonic fly by, you will only see it at sea, or performed inland by someone who is trying to get a court martial

  • Very cool video!! but he is not actually breaking the sound barrier... He is coming very close, I'm going to assume around 700 mph...You would heaqr a very loud boom that would probably shatter every window on those boats and around

  • The seagull took a turn as the plain came

  • Are you people stupid!? The jets are kicking up water! Good lord

  • Holly Shit! NICEEEEEE!

  • OMFG

  • The Blue's put on a heck of a show, I can't wait to see them in two months at the local airshow. The plane in this video was subsonic though. FAA regulations don't allow them to break the sound barrier at airshows.

  • Must be great to be living in the same country as these pilots. Nice shows every now and then.

  • Jesus Christ. People on youtube are flipping morons. Do you think a seagull is really a quarter the size of the jet? Has anyone ever heard of perspective? Anyone? I guess not. Does anyone bother to notice that the bird flies from IN FRONT of the building? the jet is AT LEAST twice as far as the bird.

  • I take that back. Upon watching again, the jet is at least 5 times as far as the bird.

  • this plane was subsonic!

    that is all :)

  • BOOOOOooooooooooo. LOVE that sound.

  • roflmfao poor bird!

  • hahahah....what are the chances of hitting that bird????

  • FUI FUI HA HA he hit a bird lol. the bird must ov been high

  • holy shit!

  • Oh that poor bird!

    Shame on that pilot.

  • yea, no sound barrier broke. the jet is going fast ofcourse. but it's easier to get the "cloud" around the jet when it's by the water its easier to build up pressure waves. if it was going the same speed at a higher altitude, this would not of happend. if it did break the sound barrier at a higher altitude, the speed would be much faster with a sonic boom.

i heard one but never seen the jet that did it.

  • lol@ "break that sound barrier"

need some more research there bud.

any questions ill help ya out.

  • y is every 1 worried but the dam bird? it wasent event close, look how close he is to the boat at 0.04

  • Where is this ? in Swiss?

  • San Francisco Bay. No sound barrier broken though.

  • thats you could sonic boom!

  • Look. That 'thing' is a bird, and it's not even close to the plane. You can see it's closer to the cameraman than the plane is. Jeez, thing a seagull is as big as half the airplane? :P

  • The bird even came out from the closest side of the house. If you pause it, you'll see. So chill out, the bird wasn't even almost close=P

  • exactly!!

  • @PerKristian93 Yeah it dun got killed. LOOOL

  • @PerKristian93 Yeah I can tell it's fake too.

  • I think he killed the bird in the beginning.

  • @xBRANDOx3 no, he just sucked all the air away from under it

  • its hasnt broken the sound barrier, its flying just under it. that condensation cloud is not the sound barrier, there is actually no barrier at all...until you get to light.

  • @moogus8000 the fact you hear the sound of the engines 3 seconds later hmmm yea the aircraft is breaking the sound barrier

  • @Party931southFl you need to learn more about physics

  • @moogus8000 and you need to know the people before you say i need to learn about physics when i graduated as an airframe and powerplant technician at baker aviation and aeronautical technician at embry riddle university

  • @Party931southFl wow i hope you never work on a plane i have to fly on..

  • @Party931southFl Your comment is just showing that your university is worth nothing if they let you graduate with clear ignorance of what is a sound barrier... Think of the distance between the cameraman and the plane before jumping to conclusion... And be more humble... And go back to class...

  • @moogus8000 The barrier term just refers to how long it took for us to obtain sustained flight at >330 m/s..Those were, in fact, leading edge compression shock waves. The aircraft may not be traveling faster than 330 m/s wrt the ground, but at some point on the aircraft, the flow is greater than mach 1, thus generating the shock wave.

  • @moogus8000 Exactly, it is prohibited for military jets to break the sound barrier near a populated area.

  • apart from the condensation cloud, did anyone note how close he was to hitting that bird in the beggining?

  • The blue angels don't break the sound barrier at these shows. They only do it in Las Vegas in the desert. Even then they only do it at extremely high altitudes.

  • he's crazy! the best!!

  • FUCKIN HELL!!, I bet there was a few alarms goin off in his cockpit been that close to the ground haha

  • what sonic boom??? 1*

  • at 0:01 something looks like it fell off the plane and crashed in the water

  • Its a friking seagull much closer to the camera lol...

  • i think that was a bird. no joke

  • whatever that thing is, it's there before the plane is

  • I think it was the pilots stomach

  • OMG IM SORRY, THAT IS TOO AWESOME TO EXIST. Seeing a plane fly so low over water makes me want to do that

  • i realy doubt he broke it coz he would had to work whole life to pay all those windows

  • naw .. just work for an hour or 2 an he shud be fine .. lolz

  • I've seen this many time at the Chicago air show. The plane seems to suck the water right out of the lake. Incredible.

  • its water vapor in the air condensing on the high pressure air created on the leading edge of the wings this effect can occur up to about 20,000 ft beyond that the vapor is too cold to condense the effect occurs as a plane is approaching and breaking the sound barrier the humid air above the water made the effect easier the F-18 was most likely approaching about 700mph

  • hehehe..

  • I watch this show every year. Fleet Week in San Francisco where the Blue Angels are the main attraction. Awesome show, but it doesn't actually break the sound barrier. The force of the air that comes off the plane hits the water and makes the vapors shoot up from the water. Its the same idea as breaking the sound barrier, compressing the air, only you can go at slower speeds if you're that close to water.

  • it didnt break the sound barrier ididot it a water cone from the ocean below

  • You obviously dont know what your talking about. A water cone would not be created from the jet's fly by.

  • ur a fucken idiot the air rushing by the plane goes downward towards the water thus makeing a vapor like cloud idiot

  • well you can look at the hundereds of pictures of planes breaking the sound barrier THOUSANDS of feet in the air!

  • how the fuck does that relat to this this is like 50 feet off the ground

  • Im saying they do they exact same thing thousands of feet in the air.

  • Holy shit that goddamn jet freaked me out lol.

  • holy shit !!

  • ahahhah that seagull almost died in the beginning lmao hahah tight vid tho

  • I was at that show in 2005 and it's true he did not break the sound barrier. My version is on discoveries military channel. they slow it down to show it picking up vapors from the water. I have seen this same clip several times with different titles. Pretty cool.

  • was fürs auge......

  • Not faster than speed of sound, but close to it.

  • nowhere near even close to mach 1. the mist was pulled from the lake by the turbulance cause by the speed at which it was travelling accross the water and the engine

  • The "lake" is San Francisco Bay. You can see Alcatraz and Mount Tamalpais.

  • ehm, nowhere even close ??. I think that was prety close like mach 0.95

  • I think your right because being that its a SONIC boom it would of completely destroyed every window lol so im guessing that was a 0.7 mach? or a semi sonic boom

  • subsonic boom*

  • oh ok thanks

  • i didnt here the sonic boom. anyway thats freakn fast

  • not sure if thats the water but it seems like we can see the sound barrier lol

  • wow!!!!!!

  • HOLLY SHIT

THAT WAS AN ULTRA LOW LEVEL F-18 HORNET

    thanx man
