I mean, the transporter room in STO is bigger than a normal bridge in any of the Star Trek movies.

Vulcans are cool but you should have picked your kind. Vulcans use logic. Humans are just awesome because they can use both logic and look before you leap sence. I really don't care now that I think about it. As long as its star trek, it doesn't really matter if I am a kingon or a romulan it is awesome!!

Well it looks like the game had a bit of work put into it so that's pretty cool. Unfortunately the designers are forgetting the main point of "online" games. Which is to play and interact with other players. As far as I could see this game doesn't offer that. Thus negating the importance of Guilds.

So overall it looks nice however I still think it would be alot better if players could serve on the same ship, controlling it as a team, and receiving larger ships as guilds grow in size.

My nephew is 5... He can dominate with non stop head shots on Team Fortress, Unreal and Counterstrike...and has multiple level 80's on WoW, and is burning through Conan. ... The ability to learn quickly dies with age. Children pick up on things fast. The fact he can use a mouse to pull of a headshot or knows how to pull moves in Street Fighter is merely because he's being conditioned to do so at a young age. The point is, if you put an average 9 year old who's barely ever played computer games in his life in front of WoW, he'll play just as well as the adult who's barely played any computer games.

I agree. I spent large part of my academic life within the field of child psychology focusing on intellectual development. My point shows that any kid can learn any game quiet well. Same scenario with any game... Put a average 9 year old against an adult, neither who have played many games in. Halo, Super Mario, WWE Smackdown... So a game that requires a minimal 100-150 hours to level through (talking average gamer) with complex mathematical calculations for spec, DPS, proper DoT/buff application, and following of instructions such as quests or tactical raids involving groups of 50+ people that need to work together in order to succeed... I know not nearly as sophisticate as the button mashing of say Pirates, Vikings and Knights II, but it does require action thought instead of 'push left button till dead' does.

Violent environment makes violent children. I played Donkey Kong growing up, I never hit anyone with a hammer or throw a barrel at them. Psychological studies have actually shown that criminals who play games like GTA IV are less likely to repeat as it gives them a way to stimulate the part of their psyche that wants to commit crimes. Same with kids, would you rather someone take out their frustrations with a video game gun or a real one?
