this game right here man. so great. whole family loved it back then. a guy told me about the konami code and we finally beat it. eventually we got good enuff to beat it just with our starting lives. but boyyyyyyyyyyyy hell. lol..... when we used to rent games at the local video corner it was always double dragon, then we discovered contra and super C. Those NES days dont go in vain man. :)

If there ever was a truly perfect game made for us to play... Its f*ckin contra. I can only hope that the original game will live on as long as possible and not be lost to the EXTREMELY closed minds of todays gamers (no offense) that miss out on masterpieces and classics like this that were on the NES.
