Hi George, hope you are doing well. Yes, it's nice to play Bach. I don't usually care much for it on steel-string but with coated strings and the right picks it seems be a bit more presentable. Thanks
I practiced this prelude and fugue from one of Frederick Noads music books many moons ago and nearly pulled my hair out learning it on classical guitar, so to hear it played so well and on steel string is a delight . I really hope you you do the fugue also, as its such a stately and regal following piece...
Hi tarkineWild, considering that the fugue is such a bear to play, I doubt that I'll get to it (I have a long list of pieces I want to /need to /should learn.) There are quite a few smaller more recognizable pieces from his cello suites, lute suites and violin sonatas I wouldnt mind revisiting. This prelude is a combination of what I remember of Segovia's transcription (have no idea where my copy is!!!) and Michael Lorimer's (to fill in the holes.) Thanks for listening
As for the scores, they came as standard notation and in drop d but I know longer have any of these 3 volume books by Noad as I gave them to a friend over 10 years ago and Im not sure what he a has done with them since. However Im sure I have copied the prelude and fugue along with some other Bach suites. I'll check and send them to you if I do..
That was so sublime Jeffrey, I would have thought this piece would have been written for Harpsichord for the counterpoint, enjoyed your interpretation.
Very nice.

Hey Mate, hope all is well with you?
Does these scores come in tab format, do you remember? or plain scores?

Gorgeous - I think you're set for the Double Violin concerto (play one violin part with each hand?)
The sound and interpretation are terrific.
Thanks,
Hashi

Thanks Hashi, I'll probably go after the "err" on the g string next.
clumsystrummer 2 years ago
Sorry, but I've already got that one and all the other "err''s covered. It's my specialty.
